Article Marketing: Write With Pictures Instead Of Words To Draw In Your Audience

Article Marketing: Write With Pictures Instead Of Words To Draw In Your Audience

There’s one thing that separates those popular articles that get distributed everywhere from the ones that languish in obscurity – and that’s imagination.

To give your articles the imagination, inspiration and zip needed to get you the results you need, consider using a tried-and-true copywriter’s technique. Paint the picture. It’s what copywriters do all the time to draw readers into whatever they’re selling. It’s one of the most powerful tools in writing because it draws on the most powerful part of the human brain: The imagination.

The best part is that you only have to drop a few details into the copy to spark the reader’s imagination. The key is knowing which words will trigger the response you want from the audience.

Let’s take a look at what you can do to paint just the right picture to start getting higher sales.

1. Know which emotion the prospect feels before he buys.

Will the majority of your prospects need to feel like you’re someone they grew up with before they break out their credit cards? This is the kind of question you have to ask yourself, because even in business-to-business sales, it’s about the emotional side of selling. When painting the picture, be whatever your readers want you to be so that you gain their trust. That way, they’ll read every word you’ve written, right down to when you ask for the sale.

2. Choose a situation or experience that’s familiar to your readers.

For instance, a writing coach would instantly draw me in if she mentioned the experience of seeing my name in print. Every writer gets a rush when that happens. It never gets old. What common experience does your target audience share? Quickly describe it and you’ve got them hooked, at least until the next paragraph.

3. Offer a clever twist on your “picture” to draw readers into the rest of your offer.

Here’s an example: Remember how it felt to go to Gino’s Steaks on a Friday night to get a cheese steak with extra Cheez Whiz and onions? There was no better way to spend a Friday night if you grew up on the streets of Philadelphia.

Now you don’t have to run to Gino’s anymore to have that same great Philadelphia cheese steak that’s famous the world over. Of course, the reader isn’t necessarily from Philly, but after reading that first paragraph he wishes he were – and he wishes he had one of those cheese steaks.

4. Use negative pictures, too.

Try describing something your audience desperately wants to avoid, their worst nightmare. You’ll have their complete attention because they can feel it in their bones that you’re going to tell them about an easier way to eliminate at least one headache in their lives.

Whichever picture you choose to paint, make sure it draws out an emotion from your audience. Once you have that emotion, use it to make your readers feel with every ounce of their beings that they need your product or service right then and there.

How to Get Your Web Words Target Marketed

How to Get Your Web Words Target Marketed

Your work at home based on line business relies on your Web marketing to bring in new leads and customers. To make this tactic work you must know how to write well target marketed key worded sales copy for your web site. Below are some ideas on just how to do it.

The first step listed here for keeping shoppers on your site and enticing them to buy your product or service is to create headlines that get their attention. This is the first thing leads see. Your beginning one yard line.

You draw them in so the business relationship can begin words. Of course, it has to be followed by good, relevant content material that keeps their attention, but I will get to that later. Please hold on with me here.

The idea is to not be weak or timid, not to be hyperbolic with wild claims or exaggerated language to turn off your prospects. If you are weak you will be boring and not very convincing.

If you use hyperbole and exaggeration you will not be believed or trusted. This is the kiss of death for a work at home based Internet business.

What I mean by weak is, Welcome to my site. I think you are going to like what you see here. Statement here must be Know. If you are not sure, surely they will not be.

Remember what the 2,000 year old wise character said in the Star Wars movie many years ago, no try, just do. At this moment I am watching a baseball playoff game and the pitcher on one of the teams knows his fast ball and breaking pitches will get the batters out. If he thought they might get them out he loses some speed and curve off his pitches. But he knows they will get them out so he is doing very well.
Hyperbole is, You will be glad you found the only site you will ever need again. Yes, correct. Bye, bye. Everyone knows there is always someone better.

There are two primary things you will do well to focus on when you create your site headlines. People want genuine help and information, and they want or perceive that they need it fast. Get to the point as soon as you can.

If you are offering legal services for DUI citations you might start off by saying, We can help You Save Your Job, Your License, Your Freedom and Your Reputation. See how that works?

You have not promised you will, because of course you cannot. Nothing is for sure. But you have reached right to the heart of why they are seeking your help, told them clearly that you can help them, and did it in a dramatic and attention getting way without hyperbole.

A work at home based Internet business owner must know his or her target audience and hone in on that target segment of Web users. You cannot be everything to everyone nor can your copy truthfully claim that. This is because everyone on this planet is different.

You must know what you are going to offer and to whom you are going to offer it. Your target market. Then you are ready to focus your sales copy and your marketing campaign to bring those prospects to your site.

The best way to learn about who your audience is may be to get a small audience to your site and then see who they are and where they go. Your Web host can provide the details of the server logs for your site from which you will learn which pages are the most popular, not only because they are the most visited but because users stay on them the longest.

They can also tell you the days and times of day most people come to your site as well as the point at which (the page) from where they leave your site.

From this you will know your age, gender, and other demographics of your niche (if you have been smart and required or encouraged free registration) plus what pages need rewrite and redesign to keep prospects from leaving at that point. You will move on to other pages, in time, after this and never stop improving. This keeps your site interesting for your leads and profitable for you as everything changes.

The other important and legitimate sales tactics for your work at home based Internet business are to establish credibility with clear contact information, clear biographies of all key players in the business, and primarily short, clear and believable testimonials. Smooth navigation is a must. Never launch your site without it, never.

You always want to focus not only on the features of your products and services but their benefits as well. This is what your prospects want you to do for them. To tell them what you can do for them.

Do not forget, as many do, to ask for that sale over and over again. Prospects will get more comfortable each time you do this as long as you keep piling on the benefits for them.

Choose Your Words Keywords Carefully

Choose Your Words Keywords Carefully

Keyword density and placement are important parts of optimizing your articles for search engines. Search engine spiders scan a page in a way that makes it important to place your keywords where they will be detected and recognized as a keyword, so that your article will come up when someone searches for that keyword. Search engine users enter phrases into a search engine to find the information they need. You need to find yourself on top for those keywords. You need to know which keywords people are entering and how to choose the most appropriate ones for your website.

A keyword is a word that is going to be placed in your article several times, not just once as that would make every word a keyword. When a spider sees that you have a word placed several times in an article, it will determine that your page may be useful to users that search for such a keyword.

It is important to note that there is also such a thing as over optimizing your articles for particular words, this is known as, keyword stuffing. When you stuff keywords in an article a spider will detect that you are trying to trick it into placing your article high in the search engine results for that word, and will instead penalize your site and your page for doing such. This may even affect the rankings of your other pages or get your site blacklisted from a particular search engine if you are found keyword stuffing too many times.

The Description tag is not just another place to bulk up on SEO keywords, however. On many search engines, the description tag is what they’ll show as your blurb when your website appears on their SERP (Search Engine Results Page). In other words, this may very well be a visitor’s first contact with you. The random surfer is more likely to click; a website with a concise, well-written description of the site, that just happens to contain the very keyword he was looking for rather than a description of meaningless jumble of keywords.

No matter what exact density you choose, it is important to place keywords so that there are more at the beginning and end to produce an hour glass effect. Having the right keyword density in your article makes it more likely that you will make money off of that article because it will rise in the search engine results and be seen by more people.

Keyword variation is also needed in making them. People will come up with all sorts of keywords in search of your site. Wrong spelling and capitalization and plural forms of keywords will make your website much easier to find. Longer forms are also needed to be included. The more specific the keyword can get the better chances for your website to be found.

Decide on your most important keyword, and use it at least twice. If you can’t figure out how to include that keyword twice and still write an appealing description, then either find someone who can teach you, or hire someone to write the Description tags for you. Choose two or three other keywords that you feel are important, and include them once. Make sure you use standard spelling and grammar; you are basically looking to craft a short but compelling paragraph.

First impressions count and this is your first impression to many, many people browsing search engine results. This is why your Description tag is so important, so write it well! Your SEO will thank you for it.

Keyword Research – Climbing Up the Ladder with Words

Keyword Research – Climbing Up the Ladder with Words

You have just started a website which incorporates information on your company or an online business, what should you do to make it stand up to other similar websites out there?  If you’re pondering the answer to that question, you are now reading an article that would be the answer to your problems. Keyword research is one of the most fundamental aspects that you should take into account when setting up a website, especially if it revolves around online sales and also pay per clicks. This method allows you to find out and research on actual keywords used by individuals in search engines such as Google and Yahoo.

You may wonder why you should research on what other people search daily, and the answer merely lies in how easily your website will be put up on a search engine and the amount of people that would access it. For instance, if you have a website selling shoes, you would probably stumble upon brands like Adidas and Nike before your website is shown, and that may be also almost after tens of links. In view of this, the question lies in how you would raise the popularity and accessibility of your website to the millions who access the internet every day

Taking into account current statistics that there are almost 1.5 billion people worldwide daily, you should first start coming up with certain keywords that are not too commonly used. Come up with keywords that portrays your website but think of different synonyms and ideas to showcase it in a whole new dimension rather than sticking on to traditional names.  Keyword research tools would be a suitable companion in this case as it not only enables you to obtain statistical data from different search engines but it also helps provide information on different used keywords by individuals worldwide.

Besides that, one should remember that their website URL also plays an important factor in determining the number of hits your website gets. If you have money to spare, buy your own domain and name it creatively but do not make it too complicated or long. Simple and creative would be the way to go. Keyword research should also be done thoroughly, where one should come up with various words related with your website and finally at the end of the day cut it down to 10 to 20 words. Ask the help of your friends and family as they might have different ideas and views about the keywords chosen as keywords keyed in search engines are from different types of individuals with different views.

Website Copywriting: A Recipe For Hard-Hitting Words In Lean Portions

Website Copywriting: A Recipe For Hard-Hitting Words In Lean Portions

In 10 short years, websites have evolved from business novelty to necessity, perhaps now the most important part of a business’ marketing and branding arsenal. For very small shops to the largest publicly-traded corporations, websites have become both the most preferred and the most interactive way for companies to communicate with their customers and prospective customers. And though many of the same fundamentals of good offline copywriting apply to the online world, there are distinct differences in both content presentation and strategy that are important for anyone involved in website copywriting-whether it be a writer, designer, creative director or client-to be aware of.

1. Website copywriting needs to be shorter

It’s been scientifically proven that readers’ eyes tire quicker reading a computer screen than they do a printed page. But more important than that, website copywriting needs to be short because of the nature of the medium. Computers are all about speed in information gathering, dissemination and understanding. And the amount of verbal content a company presents on its website must take that fact into account. If the concept can be explained in one sentence instead of three, use one. If a simpler word can be used in lieu of a longer, more complex word, go with the simpler. Concentrate on quality without the quantity. It can be done and done very well.

2. Good website copywriting starts with a home page that incites curiosity

On a home page, many organizations wax about how long their company has been in business, how many employees they have and other assorted topics, which do nothing to whet the reader’s appetite. Instead, use the homepage to introduce your company as a solution to a problem your market has. That way, you’re presenting your readers with a valuable reason to continue reading.

3. Customer testimonials are an integral part of great website copy

Often, the best website copywriting doesn’t come from you or your copywriter. It comes from your customers’ personal experiences. Assuming your company has satisfied customers, what they say about you can be much more credible than anything you say about yourself, and they can reinforce the credibility of the claims you do make about yourself.

4. Add a personal touch to complement the facts

A website is nothing more than a computerized, interactive introduction (e-commerce not withstanding) to who you are as a company and what you do. And just like a personal introduction, what often follows the “facts” are topics of a more personal nature. Good website copywriting always includes this type of content in a secondary location of the site-a place not hard to find, but not up front and center either. Why is this important? Because people want to get to know the companies they’re going to work with or do business with. They’re interested in the personalities that run your organization and the culture and philosophy behind it.

Professional Copywriting Techniques: Influencing Others Through Words

Professional Copywriting Techniques: Influencing Others Through Words

Copywriting is a manner of promoting products, services, ideas or even personalities to the public through the use of words. A good copy has a textual style and content that can effectively sway people’s opinions about the object that the copy is intended for. You might not realize the fact that professional copywriting has been around for a long time influencing how society thinks and affecting human lives in more ways than one.

For business entities, professional copywriting is indispensable because it is the cornerstone of brand building. Remember that unforgettable tagline your telephone company has printed right under its logo? It is a good bet that those words are a product of some professional copywriter’s imagination. Copywriting also provides for effective presentations and information sharing within industries.

Over the Internet, well-arranged words are the only means that people and businesses can get the attention they want from the public. In websites, professional copywriting is evident in the way keywords are arranged for search engine optimization, which in turn, is largely the way marketing nowadays is conducted online. Even ordinary websites that do not sell anything need to have an effective copy or risk losing visitor traffic.

But more often than not, you will see the full contributions of professional copywriting in marketing. It is an important component in promoting products or services. As it is involved in all advertising campaigns done in the free world, copywriting has greatly influenced people’s buying decisions. And because of this important function, the scope of copywriting has engulfed the whole of mass media.

While copywriters already abound in the real world and in cyberspace, it is never too late to learn the concepts of professional copywriting. Learn how to make your own copy like professionals do so you can save on your expenses, grow your business, or dabble into professional copywriting altogether. The following are the top copywriting techniques that you can use to help you on your way to becoming a professional. It does not matter what you want to promote, professional copywriting revolves around these basic concepts.

Make Broad Ideas Simple

Professional copywriters have unparalleled abilities in turning complex ideas into concise and simple-worded phrases or sentences. Complicated information about certain products and services can lead to customer decline; complexity is the enemy of marketing. People have enough things to consider in their lives already, so normally they will not bother cramming more difficult ideas into their heads. Simple statements that get their attention are an essence of professional copywriting; professional copywriters often rely on the power of small words to convey their ideas.

Put The Subject In The Limelight

Great professional copywriters put the product, services or whatever subject they are tasked to promote at the center of attention in their words. Copywriting requires adequate and accurate knowledge of the subject so that the copywriter is acquainted with its characteristics, its strengths and weaknesses; and ultimately know what words and phrases will be used to effectively advance the subject.

Know The Prospective Audience

Professional copywriting always think of ways on how to put the subject into the lives of their prospective audience. Building new and lasting relationships with prospects through the use of words require that copywriters know how their intended audience think and feel. By doing so, copywriters can effectively reach out into the prospects’ decision making processes.

Related to this technique is the ability to bring about familiarity with the target audience or reader. An effective copy can impress trust from other people.

Creativity Is The Name Of The Game

As a professional copywriter, you must invent ways to make your copy unique. Hone your skills at seeing potentially good copy ideas around you and not merely in books or websites. Being creative is the most important quality that a copywriter must possess. Being common and imitative will only bring rejection or even mockery from prospective audience.

People are a fickle lot; to please prospects you must always come up with new concepts. Your clients and their prospects will always open their minds to something they have not seen or heard before.

Be Informative

At the bottom line of every copywriting job is the need to spread information to the public; with a hope that the copy will influence the public’s views regarding the copywriter’s subject. As a professional copywriter, you must capitalize on the people’s clamor to learn new things and to be aware of their surroundings. Being informative, your copy will almost surely gain proper attention from the people.

Twitter – paddling in a toilet bowl of vomit (Bangkok Post – Thailand’s English news)

I should caution the reader at the outset that Twitter is, in the words of one of my dear online friends (read: complete stranger), “a toilet bowl of vomit”. There are many ways to describe Twitter, but that sums it up quite nicely.

Have You Heard These Words: Twitter, Tweet, Tweeting

Have You Heard These Words…..Twitter, TWEET, TWEETING, Internet Marketing, Making Money, Home Based income, or blogging for income?
Hi my name is Tom and I am a 40 year old married father of four and I have been hearing for the last several months about TWITTER.It is all over the news as well as the internet. Being a curous member of the Generation X I have started to look at several ways to increase my income. I am in the securities industry and well as we all know the market has had some big drops in 2008 and 2009. Recently, I decided to take the plunge and I opened an account. At first there really did not seem to be much to it.If you look or Google you find tons of information that will just spin your head right off your neck! Well I am a kind of gotta have it now kinda guy and with family, and work, I just don’t have the time to hunt down all the info.Recently I discovered how cool HOW TO videos are and have been learning from some great videos out there on Internet marketing as well as social marketing.Videos are the best learning tools that I have found. With that said, I came across The Twitter Traffic Machine, by a guy named Bill Crosby. At fist I found nothing but then realized I was typing in Bill COSBY who is neither a blogger or white bald guy with a sense of humor for that matter.
“The Twitter Traffic Machine” is a system that can build you a following of possibly 16,000 + followers in as little as 90 days.Currently Bill Crosby’s being followed by OVER 28,000 people as of 4/13/2009.The reason I looked at this opportunity is for the sheer traffic numbers that are possible. Imagine have a list of 10,000 people you can instantly give a link to.The possibilities seemed awesome.Well, I bought Bill’s product and guess what, it does what it says! Like I said earlier I love videos to learn internet marketing and how to stuff. Not only does this have videos but there is an ACTUAL GAME PLAN.This plan shows you how to duplicate his success.
I found Bill Crosby’s “Twitter Traffic Machine” so easy to understand and implement. You just put the thing on autopilot and watch it build, making you more money daily. And the price is so reasonably low, I spent more yesterday taking the wife and kids to dinner . The big thing for me with internet products is this A MONEY BACK GUARANTEE! If you are not satisfied, FOR ANY REASON he has a 60 day, money back guarantee! I think you owe it to yourself to check out and look at the videos on his info page. This I product and strategy I believe is going to be the marketing tool you’ve been looking for to skyrocket your traffic and sales! Just one word of advise, don’t show your age and say you twatted, heard that on a newscast and cracked me up.
Good luck all

Powerful Words When Marketing

When marketing online it is very important that you use powerful words.  When I get asked questions about my online success there are two reasons that I give.  First is dedication and second is marketing ability.  Dedication is of course a must when you are trying to learn website marketing and then you will also need dedication to be successful when marketing a website.  Now after you learn the basics of marketing online you will know that increasing your web presence is crucial, but it is also important when promoting your website or blog on promotional platforms to use words which people will click on.  This usually takes quite a bit of practice mixed with some trial and error.  The most important thing when beginning an online endeavor is to never give up keep trying testing and remember the great websites out their did not reach the top in a day.

You may be asking yourself what is a powerful word? Death, hate, love, conspiracy, really any word that you would see in a tabloid is a power word.  When marketing it is good to try and either upset or excite your web traffic.  Now after reading words from some of the great internet marketers I notice the ability they have to pump up the traffic to their website.  Let say you enjoy throwing up classified ads for your website and you are in the niche of selling something boring like shoes.  Now if you want to be like the 90% of boring webmasters put something like “shoe sale”, “selling shoes”, or other very plain bland crappy title.  Now if you want to be like the 10% selling shoes and making money doing so then place something exciting within the title of your ads.  You may have to exaggerate what your site is and/or about, but to stand out your title must be something to push past the rest.  Now if for some reason I thought I could make money selling shoes and wanted to excite my customer rather than picking a title such as “shoe sale” or something else bland I would put some thought into it and come up with something a little different such as “Walk on Air” or “Crushing Blow To Shoe Stores Everywhere” these are two just off the top of my head.  Which ones do you think you would be more likely to click on if you were browsing the classifieds looking for shoes?

Do not go overboard when advertising your site.  Even though it is a play on words sometimes I have seen internet marketers go too far when marketing their website.  Now if I were to say in the title of my ad “free shoes” and not even have a sale going on then this will probably piss some people off.  Do not piss off the wrong people!! If you want to lose credibility and have your website blacklisted all you have to do is piss off a blogger with a couple hundred thousand followers who also blog and have thousand of their own followers.  If you screw someone like this over then you are looking at an attack of epic proportions so DON’T flat out lie when promoting.
