When writing article marketing content it is important to make sure the copy itself would be able to reach the intended and target readers. That is imperative because obviously, no content or article marketing copy would ever succeed in attaining its purpose if it is not targeted well. No matter how informative, entertaining, engaging and interesting your article is, if it is not gaining a favorable and appropriate search engine ranking, it would not be disseminated and shared well to reach its target audience. Thus, it is important to know some methods on how you could effectively manipulate the use of keywords to meet your article marketing goals.

To begin with, it is most significant to determine the right keywords for the subject you are writing about. A keyword is a main subject that would be the focus and theme of the entire marketing article. When using keywords in this regard, be reminded that keywords can be made up of a single word, a phrase, group of words or different sets of words that are put together. Keywords are important because that would be how search engines would identify, index and rank articles.

For example, you are using the search engine to search for articles with ‘article marketing’ as the keyword. Upon typing the phrase into the search engine box, a page containing all sites and Webpage addresses containing direct links would be flashed into the computer screen. Notice that the listing consists of several or numerous listings. Also take note that those sites and links listed on the topmost portion would likely solicit and enjoy more search engine clicks from online readers. You surely would look first at those listed on the first few links. And for sure, you would be more likely checking them out than the rest.

That is the wonder of using search engine ranking well. An article or a Website is enjoying a high search engine ranking if it is listed first on search engine results. You know for now that articles or sites with high ranking are more likely to enjoy higher page and readers review. As an article marketing writer, you naturally would be inclined to aim to attain that ideal search engine ranking. And manipulating with the working and operational keywords is the most likely key to that.

To be able to understand more the role of keywords targeting and usage in making your article marketing copy really effective, it would be better to know more about some specific keyword concepts. The following are those along with recommended actions to make your articles work.

Keyword density

This concept basically refers to the percentage or ratio of keywords within the overall volume of words that can be indexed within the whole Web page. Some companies and article marketing clients are particularly instructing writers to make sure the keyword density of the article is made ideal. In general, it is an unwritten rule or a strong recommendation from experts to make sure the keyword density is maintained at about 2% to 8%. This way, you can make sure that your article marketing output is well endowed and sprinkled with the most helpful and noticeable volume of keywords. Doing so would also help ensure a favorable and desired search engine ranking.

Keyword frequency

This concept is basically referring to the total number of times a particular keyword or keyword phrases are used not just within an article but within the entire Website. As you know, online sites are not just consisting of the article content. Usually, Website designs and pages are consisting of logos and brief descriptions of the content or of the subject or content to which the site is focused at. In general, the more frequent a keyword appears in the online site, the more likely any search engine would allot a high search engine ranking for that keyword.

Keyword prominence

The term keyword prominence is not widely known and practiced but it is one of the most needed. It refers to the way prominent keywords are strategically used inside the online site. As a recommendation, experts advise article marketers to put significant keywords within, near or at the beginning of the online page, or at the first sentence, title or within what is referred to as the meta tag.

Keyword proximity

The term refers to the proximity or closeness between keywords. With this regard, it is advisable that keywords be closer and more identical or synonymous with each other. For example, the keyword ’search engine rankings, is proximate, close or equal to the keyword ‘rankings in search engine’. It would be advisable to use the two at the same time as operational keywords so that any way online searchers make their queries, they would be able to arrive at the same result.

keywords usage in the meta tags

keywords usage in the meta tags

Once the sites keywords have been finalized it is now time to start using them to optimize the site. The first & most obvious place to start using them is the meta tags of the site.

There are three metatags that we can start to use them with.

Header

Description

Keywords

Lets look at them one by one:

KEYWORDS and KEYPHARASES uses in THE META DESCRIPTION TAG :

The Meta Description text is used to display a short description of the web page which is listed in the search result by search engines. The Meta Description text should be attractive and meaningful so that it could give exact information about site services. It is very important from keywords inclusion angle as well for the SE tend to index it first & perform a keyword matching with it. Also bear in mind that this text is displayed along with the site title in the SERPs. Hence it is the first introduction that visitors will read about you.

Example:

KEYWORDS and KEYPHARASES uses in THE META KEYWORDS TAG :

Without Meta Keywords tag we can get top ranking as Meta Keywords tag is less important, as far as search engine optimization is concerned. Still, it won’t hurt to include it. Meta keyword tag is used to include all the keywords for which you would like search engines to rank your site. Meta keyword tag is not supported by all search engines now as it has been flagrantly spammed. Keyword meta tag contains keywords and key phrases separated by comma’s that users may search. Keyword must not be repeated in the Meta Keywords tag more than three times(rule of thumb) and one must not repeat any keyword one after the other.

Example:

Keywords should be listed in order of importance. Size preferences for meta keyword tags are not same for all Search engines. For example, MSN, will accept a meta keyword tag up to 1024 characters long, while HotBot indicates 75 characters . However, some top-ranking pages of Hotbot’s in various categories used meta keyword tags much larger than 75 characters. So, 1024 characters can be used as guideline.

KEYWORDS and KEYPHARASES usage in Header Tags

KEYWORDS and KEYPHARASES usage in header tags is very powerful in SEO(search engine optimization) . As headlines makes a page easier to read and helps in rapidly finding required information, it saves time. Headlines should be short and descriptive. Headline tag text should never have more than one full line of text. It is preferred to use header tags text H2 or H3 tags to gain additional points with search engines.

Header tags text (headline) provides the right kind of keyword and key phrase information to the search engines which helps in better indexing of the website in their database. Header tags text also helps to rapidly inform what the page is all about. So, we should integrate KEYWORDS and KEYPHARASES into header tags text (headlines). Heading should start with the keywords that are being targeted.. We should use the standard headline tags (, ,, ,, ).Also better control over the layout of web pages can be achieved by using cascading style sheets in combination with the headline tags.

For example :

“KEYWORDS and KEYPHARASES usage in Header Tags”

“KEYWORDS and KEYPHARASES useage in THE PAGE TITLE ”

“KEYWORDS and KEYPHARASES useage in THE META TAGS “.

Types of Online Advertising & their usage

Types of Online Advertising & their usage

Online advertising is everywhere around us. Sometimes it’s discreet, and sometimes it’s in your face. Sometimes it is useful, and sometimes it’s annoying. The Web as a totally free service, sponsored by the advertiser only continue to grow, even as online advertising is integrated complexity. The purpose of this post, both with regard to the general public and advertisers to see human nature is to explore the art of online advertising.

A collection of free Internet services, how prepared?
In the early days of the Internet, people had pretty much paid for everything. For an online directory you can think of to pay? AOL did. And they have a lot of money from her. Pay for services such as online directories, but was little used to live, the competition is due to human nature. In the mid 90’s, a few students from your favorite websites a free online directory, and then added search capabilities. It was a small project called Yahoo. As for other free services to compete with paid services began to emerge, through the Internet started with free services, web resulted in that we know and love.

Nature of the online advertising
One of my previous articles, how online advertisers, sponsors of the Internet, I have most major websites that we discussed today how to get free services that earn revenue from online advertisers use. That said, it is interesting to see how different business models for online advertising support. Really understand how online advertising world wide web fits, it is important to realize what the public want and expect from your Internet experience, and what online advertisers want and expect from the ad-driven websites.

General public, for the most part, used the Internet as a tool for finding information, entertainment, network, and get to work. Usually these new products and services offered by businesses are not looking to find. On the other hand, online advertisers, potential new customers see the Internet as a portal. They are usually only one thing: to help people learn about their business, more people to use their services or products to buy. Finally, we can use free websites, Google and YouTube and Facebook-like, a sort of desires and expectations between the two groups a happy medium. How do they do?

Attack Ads
Aggressive attack advertisements when users view a website for the forces. The most notorious example of an attack ad pop-up ads. On Web sites today use this technique because it usually causes new site visitors to leave and never return. In these types of websites advertising for radio stations that play 90% of the time when. Who wants to hear?

Vocal Ad
Vocal ad attack ads less than a technique that aggressively promote websites with advertisers. For example when loading a page or video, sometimes vocal ad websites to use the time to load an advertisement to the user will wait for the show content. Visitors are usually more open to this kind of advertising because it is non-disruptive attacks against advertising.

Peripheral Advertising
Peripheral advertisement advertisement in an advertisement that users’ websites with the hope of both content and ads as well as the type while viewing the contents follow. The most common form of advertising because it is easier to implement and is generally annoying to visitors. This type of advertising usually at the top right of this page to a way out of image ads and banners.

Inline Ads
Inline ads most efficient and least invasive form of online advertising. This type of advertising usually integrated within one or two links to the content of a web site. Shows examples selected for Google search results pages on top of paid advertisements. They are looking for materials for users who are looking, they obviously read by clicking on an ad link and much more likely hood. Another example, Digg inline position ad uses every square Digg Digg page article in the final third paid. Inline Ads WebKrunk also the end of each article by two paid links directly used for online advertisers.

Future of Online Advertising
Since the inline ads and advertisers more effective and less intrusive to visitors, it is logical that this form of advertising in the future will be increasingly popular with websites advertising. Inline Ads

Media Usage Down, Except Mobile (And Not-So-Mobile)

Decreased media usage during the recession, plus lower spending, put a hurting on advertising prices in 2009, according to the Yankee Group (via). Their study shows that Americans spent only 11:50 with media each day last year. Yeah, that’s 11 hours and 50 minutes—or nearly half the day and the majority of our waking hours. That’s down from over 14 hours in 2008.

Television and video were the hit hard, losing an hour a piece. The Internet lost only 40 minutes, and remained in the top slot. But mobile was the big mover here—the only category to show an increase over 2008, with a 12% increase and within mobile, “Internet use grew 36 percent, to 11 minutes a day, and texting grew 55 percent, to 27 minutes a day.” (Percentage-wise, reading actually suffered the biggest loss, 59%.)

Internet ad revenue actually increased in 2009, but only by $2B or 8% ($24B to $26B).

Meanwhile, another study shows that “connected” devices make up a significant proportion of mobile Internet usage. MediaPost reports on a study by Millennial Media that shows that these devices account for 21% of mobile ad impressions.

“Connected” devices include “the iPad, iPod touch, Sony PSP and Nintendo DS.”

Millennial media also looked at the fastest-growing smartphone OS—Android, followed by RIM. But considering the iPhone still had 70% of mobile Internet impressions, they have a long way to go to catch up.

What do you think? Have you used less media? Are your mobile devices actually connected?

3 Marketing Insights From Twitter’s New Usage Stats

twitter chirpYesterday at Twitter’s developer conference, Chirp, lots of new Twitter related news and stats were announced. One major announcement, was that the Library of Congress has acquired all of Twitter’sarchived tweets, giving the library more than a billion tweets in its archive. In addition to the Library of Congress announcement, Twitter also announced a fresh batch of usage statistics:

  • Twitter has 105,779,710 registered users
  • 300,000 new users sign up per day
  • Approximately 60% of them are coming from outside the U.S
  • Twitter receives 180 million unique visitors per month
  • 75% of Twitter traffic comes from third-party applications
  • 60% of all tweets come from third-party apps
  • Since the new Blackberry application was launched, it has accounted for 7 to 8% of new sign
  • There are 600 million search queries on Twitter per day
  • There are over 100,000 Twitter applications
  • Twitter gets 3 billion requests a day through its API
  • 37% of active Twitter users use their phone to tweet

3 Marketing Insights From Twitter’s New Usage Stats

1. Mobile Matters- With 37% of active Twitter users relying on cell phones to send and receive tweets, it is important that marketers understand that social networks are not limited to one device. Twitter is a great example of a social network that is used on desktops, smart phones and via SMS.  As a marketer it is important communicate with customers and prospects on the “screens” they use the most. This usage rate could likely increase due to the recent acquisition Twitter made of popular iPhone application Tweetie. The company plans to release the app for free instead of the current price of $2.99, which could help speed mobile adoption.

2. Marketers Need to Understand APIs
- An Application Programming Interface (API) is a set of instructions that lets a software platform communicate and work with other software. Twitter announced that more than 100,000 applications now use the Twitter API. Twitter, a company of only about 175 employees, would never have had the resources to build all of these applications itself. However, by having an API, it was able to make it easier for other people to build on its platform. As a marketer, understanding what is possible with APIs is important. APIs can let you create better online experiences for your customers, give you access to social data that can inform marketing decisions, and provide access to a built-in community of users. So many companies want to build their own social network or web application, but building a community around it can be quite costly. Using APIs of existing platforms like Twitter gives marketers access to a large built-in community of users.

3. Twitter SEO Is Important- Do you think about keywords in your tweets? You should. With 600 million searches per day on Twitter, the platform has become a major real-time search engine. As a marketer you likely pay attention to keywords on your web site, why not on Twitter? Twitter is still refining how it ranks tweets in its search results. However, the first key step is to make sure that your tweets include words that your prospective customers are searching for. While you likely know what these words are, you can also do searches of your own and see what types of words competitors are using.

Many of these new stats are impressive and offer insight into the future of social media marketing.

Do these new stats change how your business approaches Twitter?

You need the best services of a corporate graphic design company, if you are starting a project from scratch, or even planning to redesign an existing website. Most corporate graphic designers offer flash multimedia design, logo & graphic design, and web hosting. Some assure extended services, including domain registration and other marketing strategies.

Before choosing a professional graphic design company, it is very important to understand the different aspects of web color. In general, there are two types of colors used in web graphics: RGB and CMYK. These colors determine the background page elements and photographs. RGB and CMYK colors are generally associated with GIF and JPEG graphic file formats.

Graphic designers use web colors for web page backgrounds, HTML text, table and layer backgrounds, web links, GIF and JPEG files. Most designers employ web safe palette (Web 216 palette) in all computer graphics, web development applications and multimedia. These graphic designers use the following rules:

Flat graphics employing web 216 palettes are saved as GIF files;

Photographs and full color images employing RGB palette are saved as JPEG.

Moreover, a standard web page should be of 600×800, 620×480 or 1024×768 pixels. These important factors make a website look professional and attractive. A professional graphic design firm follows these rules and displays samples, both printed and online, in its portfolio. Always look for portfolios with diverse samples. Also, ensure that the portfolio boasts quality graphics and not poor quality images or basic clip art graphics.

A corporate graphic design company should have a proper background or reference. If you are looking to have a long term project from your graphic designer, check the company’s project report card. Make sure the graphic design company has any long term repeat clients and is not a startup company. Hence, determine whether a corporate graphic design company suits your business!
