Make More Money With Your Online Advertising – a Three Pronged Approach
Make More Money With Your Online Advertising – a Three Pronged Approach
I’ve been making money with advertising for about 5 years now, and my income continues to grow. I believe I’ve found a strategy that works well, is very doable, and one that will work for you too. All you need to do is follow some very simple steps and you will be on your way to a nice online income.
I am not saying it is easy…in fact there is work involved, and as with most things the harder you work the bigger the reward. Building a website can be done quickly, but obtaining a good enough position in the search engine results pages to bring a significant amount of traffic takes time. If you’re willing to spend money on PPC ad campaigns or paid links you can get rapid results, but you really need some compelling content to make money from advertising if you are going to pay for advertising to get visitors to your site.
If you already have websites and you have visitors, then you should be advertising because you make money when you do. It’s a numbers game. The more visitors you get the more money you make. There are a variety of ad programs out there…and I suppose you could include affiliate links as ads too. I joined some affiliate programs, and I made some money, but I prefer advertising revenue.
I’ve found that by having good content, ultra-simple layouts, basic good SEO practices including link building, and lots of pages of great content, I can get a lot of search engine traffic. However, be prepared to tough it out for usually at least a year or so. Your site navigation needs to be easy for the search engine spiders to navigate. You need at least 500 words per page, and I typically try to create 100 pages for a site. The more words you have the more opportunity for a search engine to find your page.
Design your site for humans. Make it easy for your visitors to find what they are looking for. Make sure your spelling is perfect and your grammar impeccable. High quality sites do not have poor spelling and grammar. The engines can check the spelling and grammar, and if they can they probably do. It’s just one more way they can use to help figure out how good the site is. Use formatting to help the engines figure out what is important by using headings and bold text etc. Do not forget punctuation either. Poor punctuation does not reflect well on a high quality site.
Include a strategy to obtain links from other sites. Since the information available on your website that the search engines can use to rank your site is limited, they use other indicators as well. They can use bounce rates, and other indicators to help them determine how to rank your site. One of the more important ways they can determine your sites importance is by counting the number and the quality of the links to your site from other sites. So obtaining links with good link text from other quality sites is important.
The three pronged approach I use for my advertising revenue stream consists primarily contextual based ads such as Adsense or others. Search engines can easily determine if your site is cluttered up with ads and links, and they most likely reduce the importance of pages that are teeming with ads and affiliate links. I put my navigation links on the left side of the page, a context based ad across the top of the page, another tall skinny contextual ad on the right hand side. Then finally across the bottom of the page I have another contextual based ad. Contextual based ads are the first prong of the three pronged approach.
The second prong of my attack is using impression based ads. At the top of each page I have an impression based ad. These ads pay me 50 cents for every 1000 impressions. I’ve tried various combinations of CPM vs. PPC ads, and I make a lot more with the pay per clicks like adsense, but then by adding a single CPM ad at the top of each page my earnings from the pay per click ads did not go down, and one of my sites that does about 10,000 page impressions a day makes me an additional .00 per day…an extra 0.00 a month.
The third prong of my advertising income is in its infancy, and I believe that in time it will prove to be hugely successful and I intend to be there and benefit from it when it happens. What is this baby internet advertising program? It’s called NetAudioAds, and they are 5 second audio ads that play when a visitor lands on your site. Like the CPM impression advertising it pays you for each play. Your visitor does not have to click anything. Like with the other programs, you just place a snippet of code on your web page and they do the rest.
This program also allows you to sign up other webmasters to play the ads on their sites, and when they do you get a portion of the ad revenues for those ads. If you can sign up lots of new publishers you could make a nice income just from their ads playing on their sites. The ability to sign up new publishers and receive a percentage of their ads is permanent, however once Net Audio Ads has decided it has enough publishers signing up converts, it will stop letting new publishers do that.
This 5 second audio ad program, sometimes referred to as 5 second audio ads, and sometimes as GetAudioAds, has lots of interesting things going for it. For one thing, it will only play once every three minutes to any particular web surfer. It does not take up any room on your web page. It’s free to join and doesn’t cost you a nickel. For advertisers it’s great too. No other form of advertising such as radio or TV has the listener sitting with full attention on the computer when the ad plays. With TV and Radio the listener might be in the bathroom, the kitchen, or driving down the freeway. With Net audio ads you know the listener is there because for the ad to play the listener must have just clicked on a link to go to your page. Very powerful stuff.
So there you have it, my three pronged strategy, which includes a potential gold mine in the form of the new 5 second audio ad program.

Three Funky Mice Made for Laptops
Three Funky Mice Made for Laptops
It isn’t easy being a computer mouse these days. While laptop sales grow and desktop sales decline, more people rely solely on laptop touchpads, many of which offer more functionality than mice. And tablets like Apple’s iPad and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab shun the mouse altogether.
But before you toss your tethered friend, it’s worth paying homage to the many things this gadget can do. From precisely cropping one of cousin Fred’s fleeting girlfriends out of a family photo to selecting just the right number in a spreadsheet filled with thousands of digits, the mouse is just the right tool for such precision jobs. And sometimes it’s just a lot more comfortable to use for long stretches of work on a laptop. IBM laptop battery
This week, I tested three computer mice that laptop users will actually want to bring along with them. Their designs make them simple to pack in a bag, use while sitting on the couch or recharge directly from the laptop. I tried Microsoft’s Arc Touch Mouse, Logitech’s Couch Mouse M515 and the Swiftpoint Mouse.
At first glance, Microsoft’s Arc Touch Mouse looks like nothing more than a flattened mouse. But it’s cleverly designed to bend into an arc that serves as a comfortable rest for the hand. As soon as the Arc Touch Mouse is bent into this shape, its battery turns on. It holds this shape until you flatten it with your hand. When it’s flattened, the mouse turns off to conserve battery. Microsoft claims this battery will last up to six months. The flattened Arc Touch is much easier to pack in a carry-on or to slip into a side pocket than its rotund relatives.
On a Mac, the Arc Touch is limited to basic functions, including use of its touch-sensitive scroll strip that scrolls super quickly when a finger flicks up or down on it. This strip makes a subtle sound like that of a roulette wheel as it scrolls, and a tap on the strip stops the scrolling at a specific location on the screen. I caught myself looking down at this mouse a few times to make sure I wasn’t using a real scroll wheel because the sound effects and feel of the scroll strip are so wheel-like. sony laptop battery
On a Windows PC, installing software will give the Arc Touch extra functions. Double tapping the middle of the scroll strip gives it the same function as a regular mouse’s middle click. Or this button can be programmed to open a link in a new tab within Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser. This mouse’s tiny USB receiver can be plugged into a laptop almost unnoticed or it will magnetically stick to the base when not in use.
Logitech’s Couch Mouse M515 seems like it was made with me in mind. I often sit on my bed or couch using my laptop, and this mouse has a sealed underside so its sensor doesn’t collect fuzz from fabrics after passing over them several times. I used it on carpets and on a blanket and liked its base, which is designed to glide easily over all types of surfaces. This mouse felt fast and responsive.
To conserve battery, the Couch Mouse is only on when a hand grips it. So if someone stops to watch TV for a while, then accidentally sits on the mouse or the mouse slips between couch cushions, its buttons won’t continue clicking away. An underside switch turns it entirely on or off. The Couch Mouse also uses a USB receiver, and it can be stored inside the mouse for travel.
Like the Couch Mouse, the Swiftpoint Mouse from Swiftpoint Ltd. of New Zealand, is designed for use with laptops in less than ideal working environments. This tiny mouse was designed to operate directly on the laptop wrist rest area or on the laptop touchpad, itself. In fact, the mouse comes with a large, clear sticker labeled “Swiftpoint Parking Accessory” that goes on the laptop so the mouse doesn’t slip off when the laptop’s tilted. fujitsu laptop battery
The simple sticker worked well, creating a magnetic square in the center of the wrist rest area that kept the mouse from slipping off when I was leaning back and typing at an angle.
A scroll wheel on the right of the Swiftpoint Mouse works by rolling it with one finger or by turning the mouse on its side and moving it up or down, which made for faster scrolling. I found this feature awkward and unnatural at first, but after a lot of use, I grew accustomed to it. Touching the left click button while scrolling up or down zooms in or out, respectively, on any screen.
This mouse is so small that rather than its USB receiver fitting inside or on it for storage, the mouse magnetically attaches onto its USB receiver, resting on it while the receiver is plugged into the laptop. This allows for the Swiftpoint Mouse to recharge its battery; Swiftpoint says 30 seconds of charging will give the mouse an hour’s worth of juice and a 90-minute charge will last two to four weeks, depending on how much you use it. The former proved to be true for me, but I didn’t have enough time to test the latter claim.
When I set this mouse onto the USB receiver for charging, it flashed a rapid green charging indicator light, which slowed after about a minute. Using a rechargeable mobile mouse means not worrying about getting stuck somewhere with dead batteries.
For those looking to have more control in the Windows 7 environment, Microsoft is bringing out in May an model called the Touch Mouse. It will work specifically with Windows 7, using a touch surface that responds to gestures so as to perform tasks like docking, minimizing or maximizing and displaying the desktop.
It’s an awful lot like Apple’s Magic Trackpad, a square surface that came out last summer and enables gestures within the Mac operating system for desktops.
Though these three mice are easy to port around and work well in a variety of work environments, they can’t replace many of the clever gestures built into so many laptops nowadays, especially Macs. But if you’re looking for comfort and function on the go, they do the trick.

Three Website Marketing Suggestions You Can Implement Now
Three Website Marketing Suggestions You Can Implement Now
The possibilities are almost endless when it comes to internet marketing, you only have to get started. No matter what kind of internet marketing endeavor you have in mind, the following tips will help you.
As an online marketer, if you’re not necessarily engaged in a particular traffic generation method, then you at least are aware that it exists. There can be many reasons for a poorly performing website, but it is certainly a fact that if you’re receiving traffic that is “not” targeted to your market or offer, then that will not help. The properly optimized site that ranks high in the search engines is almost assured of impressive amounts of targeted traffic. The ideal situation is to rank in the top three for good volume search terms. The net is so huge, and markets are also very huge; so if you want a piece of it – then just go get it. Period. Anyone with the basic understanding of on page and off page search engine optimization can get their site ranked and get targeted traffic.
While we would not necessarily recommend it – there are probably millions of businesses who solely depend on search marketing for traffic. This approach does require time, effort, and patience because that is just the nature of the process. Naturally keywords are extremely important because they are not all created equal. As time goes by, you’ll realize how valuable search engine traffic is, mainly because it doesn’t cost you a cent. If you get highly ranked, you’ll have to work to keep it there; but it’s worth doing and you’ll have to work no matter what you do in internet marketing – that is if you want to be successful. The second Internet marketing tip is obvious but still many new marketers tend to ignore it. Your sales copy must be compelling enough to motivate readers to take the action you want them to take. Having informational content on your blog or website will not motivate most people to buy something. It’s necessary to have sales copy that makes your readers feel they can’t live without this product. If you don’t have the right skills to produce an effective copy, then go ahead and spend some money to outsource the job to a professional copywriter. There is simply no way you can hope to succeed without having compelling sales copy. You can present sales copy in a number of ways, from sales letters to videos. The reason why it’s important is because when your prospect hits your website, he/she wants to know about the various benefits of your product, which can easily be listed out in your sales copy. Your readers or visitors must be told how this product can help them and why you are the best person to buy it from.
Testing is something that can literally change and transform your business overnight, but really very few marketers do it. If there was ever a tried, true, and tested (no pun intended) method to increase your conversions it is with testing. If you want to test a new traffic source, then by all means give it a test and find out how it works for you. So, keep the above internet marketing tips in mind and

Website Design – The Three Most Important Elements
Website Design – The Three Most Important Elements
When it comes to website design, there are three very important elements that must influence the process of developing a site which can be viewed on the Internet.
1. Customer Satisfaction.
Although this should be common sense customer satisfaction does not always take a front row seat in the priority department for many agencies. It seems that in the era of our fast paced society a lack of customer satisfaction is the status quo. Companies often rush from completing one job to the next and in the process they somehow skip steps, miss promised timelines, or fail to meet agreed upon priorities. Which comes to my next point.
2. Listening to the Customer’s Needs
The old adage that the customer is always right has been somewhat lost. Clients generally have an idea of what they want to achieve with their websites. Usually, for businesses, it is to bring in new business or increased revenue. What they often do not know; however, is how to accomplish this online in the form of their website. This should not really be a surprise, because often this is not an area of expertise for many entrepreneurs or company executives. This also does not mean that the web development firm hired to complete the website should just run ahead without consulting the client on their needs.
It takes a practiced skill to help the client identify what they want to accomplish online and what the look and feel of the website should be. This initial groundwork will certainly go a long way in understanding the overall goal of the site, and how to best achieve this within best design and development practice.Website designer
3. The Ability to Communicate with the Client
This skill of helping the client identify what they want to accomplish online can be best identified as communication. It is the process of exchanging information through various means to accomplish an understanding or shared meaning of ideas. The ability to do this well only comes with skill and practice. A good analogy of this process would be the traveller looking for directions in a foreign place using a different language. The traveller is like the website design firm looking for directions from the local: the client. Like the local who may or may not know the directions, the client may or may not know what they are looking for in their website. A good project manager in the web design firm will use all their skills to gather the information, and help the client along in their journey of conveying what they want in their website.
These skills may include interpersonal projection, asking for clarification, using probing questions to seek further details, and evaluating and explaining the process thoroughly. The client needs to know sooner than later what is possible with the budget specified, and how modifications during the website design process can increase the cost to develop the website.
Although there are many other elements that contribute to excellent website design, web designers or their project managers must be able to provide these three main aspects for the web design project to be on a successful track.

The SEO Keyword Research Series – Part Three: ‘Relevant Keywords’
The SEO Keyword Research Series – Part Three: ‘Relevant Keywords’
In Part two of the SEO Keyword Research Series we looked at the four ‘Key’ elements that you need to consider each and every time you pick a keyword for your business. This is to ensure that you are driving the right traffic to your site, providing you with the sales and income you want (nah, deserve!!). These four elements were Relevant, Competition, Commercial and Traffic. We will be looking at the first of these in more detail – ‘Relevant Keywords’.
More often than not, people will over look the need to ensure that their keywords are relevant. They will often choose random keywords and hope that it brings in the numbers. These may even prove successful to a degree, often providing high levels of traffic or a high ranking in the Google keyword search. This high level of traffic is useless if it does not produce sales. No sales. No income. This is all because the people coming to your site are not interested in your content.
The secret is not just ‘traffic’. It is ‘Targeted Traffic’!!!
To avoid this, the content on your website needs to be directly relevant to the keywords that you are targeting. So, you can do one of two things. Change the content. Although this seems like a laborious option. Alternatively, you could change the keywords you are using.
To ensure you are using relevant keywords you need to consider the following:
· See what sites come up when you are entering in your keywords into a search engine. For example, Google.
· Ask yourself – Bearing in mind your key search words would you find this site useful?
· Remove irrelevant keywords from any phrases that you are using.
· Think of the order of the words you are using – What order would a searcher put these into a search engine in?
· Think of some positive phrases that you can use. Focus on different lay outs of words in these phrases that are directly relevant to your niche or market. For example, ‘dog train’ and ‘train dogs’ will come up with completely different replies from a keyword search in Google.
By using these techniques, along with the other 3 ‘key’ elements, you are able to pan through the keywords and obtain a more definitive set of words that are highly relevant to your product, business or market place. Ensuring that the traffic you get is accurate, relevant and targeted to provide you with the sales you need.#
Thank you for reading and see you in Part Three – ‘Evaluating the Competition’.

Do you want to read newspapers on your iPad? And do you know how to read newspapers on your iPad? If you don’t know how to read newspapers on your ipad, the how- to below will show you.
Apple’s ipad is well built for the purpose of reading newspapers and magazine. The book-like user interface, navigation aids, graphics and vivid color display makes reading newspapers and magazines on the ipad particularly more enjoyable than on the kindle.
I have tried reading papers on the Kindle, and I didn’t find the experience to be interesting. I missed the graphics and navigation aids I expected with the physical papers. But on the iPad, the applications look a lot better, and in general, reading the papers that way has been a great experience.
On the ipad you can read ebooks and newspapers in flip book style reading. You can also read the best newspapers from top publishers on the iPad in a few simple clicks. Newspaper reading is especially customized for comfortable big screen viewing.
Downloading newspapers to read on your ipad is very simple and can be summarized in three simple steps:
First Step:
Buy an ipad. Head over to apple.com, amazon or your trusted local retailer and purchase one. Its going to cost you between 9-9 for an ipad of your model of choice at apple.com.
Second step:
Tap on the apps icon on iPad home screen to check the apps that are installed on your iPad. You can go to an App store and add applications for top newspapers like New York Times. Purchase the iBooks app if you intend to read e-books also. Apple will charge .99 for iBooks, which is compatible with their Mac versions. Appsare also available to access news content from BBC News, USA today, Wall Street Journal, Financial times among others (most newspapers charge a subscription fee). you can search the apps store for desired news apps.
Third step:
Once your newspaper app is loaded on iPad, Adjust the screen and light to how you want to read. Select the number of columns and fonts you would like to read with. The New York Times app for instance has a drop-down contextual menus and support for multi-touch functionality. Relax and enjoy reading

Three Tips to Write an Effective Internet Advertisement
Three Tips to Write an Effective Internet Advertisement
I am sure you have seen thousands upon thousands of Internet ads for anything and everything. Of course you have more than likely seen your share of terrible Internet ads and the really good ones.
In this article I am going to give three points on what makes up a good Internet ad so you can use it in your marketing strategies.
Start with a hook. A hook, (just like in fishing) is the piece of the Internet ad that catches the readers attention. In the case of your Internet advertisement, it is the headline. A bad headline would be, “Look inside to learn how to make a million dollars in ten minutes”. This headline suggests something so unrealistic, no one, and I mean not even the most desperate of people would investigate further. However, “Educational program teaches you how to increase your income”, is a much better way of writing the hook. Everyone is looking to increase their income, everyone knows education is a good way of doing that, and it also suggests that it is teaching you how to do it.
Now that the person is “hooked”, you need to keep their interest. If you are doing an Internet ad with mostly text, you can use a technique called “salting”. Salting is a way to keep the readers interest by telling them of some information and then letting them know you will give the rest to them later. For example, “Our cleaning process uses three steps to ensure the job is done right. In a moment, we will describe what they are, but right now we want to…”, you get the point. Now the reader of the Internet ad is curious as to what those three steps are and will continue to read the Internet ad until they read that information. Continually “salting” in your Internet ad, will keep the reader interested to the end.
If you are using pictures, keep in mind a picture is worth a thousand words, but a bad picture will ruin your Internet advertisement and possibly your business. If you are a hair stylist and you are promoting your business and you use a picture of someone for their hair style, yet the picture shows something you would see on a monster in horror flick, chances are, you won`t get too many responses. Choose your photo wisely.
Now that you have the reader`s interest until the very end, you have to close the deal. Closing the deal is the hardest of the three steps, in my opinion, to effective Internet advertising. Without a good close, all of the previous work mentioned is for naught. To “close” the deal, you need to give the reader something to do. For example, “Contact us today and receive 10% towards your next cleaning”. This would obviously be followed with a phone number, email, web page, or whatever it is you are trying to get them to respond to. Your reader must be given a way to reach out and obtain the product or service you just advertised about.
If you want to increase your response rate of your Internet advertisement or promotion these 3 steps alone should do it.

Three Great Google Android Apps
Three Great Google Android Apps
There are many apps (applications) that you can download through the “market” icon of your G1 Android Phone. This list can help guide you as to which apps you might want to download.
1. Quickpedia – This is a free app that lets the user browse Wikipedia on the Google Android phone. Viewing Wikipedia pages with this app is easier than attempting to view them without it, as the app optimizes the pages for the Android phone?s small display screen. You can also use the Quickpedia to search for articles that might interest you. With its easy-to-navigate user interface, browsing Wikipedia becomes a breeze. The app also lets the user save the text of the Wiki to the phone’s SD(secure digital card, or memory card). You can use its “nearby” feature to find Wikipedia articles about places near you. You can also find out what other Quickpedia users are looking for, by using the “popular” tab.
2. Ringdroid – This was one of the first batch of apps to be released for the T-Mobile G1 phone. It lets users create ring tones from songs they already have on their phones. A user can also choose to record his own sounds. Although it is one of the older, first-generation apps, it still is one of the most downloaded. It works like a simplified Audacity. There?s a time line on the screen, and users can zoom in to place start and end marks on it. Once they are sure of the segment, they can save it, to create a ringtone, a notification, an alarm, or an edited tune. It is very user-friendly, and can turn anyone into a sound technician.
3. Fbook – This is the unofficial Facebook app for the Android phone. Just about everyone I know has a Facebook account. The fact is, if you must choose from all the social networking web sites around, Facebook is probably one of your first choices. Fbook optimizes Facebook?s iPhone website for the Android Phone. It also allows users to upload their photos directly from their phones to their Facebook accounts. Even when the app is closed, users receive notifications when new updates are made by their friends.
These are just three of the Google Android phone apps that have been found to be quite helpful for daily use. There are a lot more apps out there. Maybe you have your own favorites, that aren’t on this list. What are your favorite apps? Let us know about them.

Internet Marketing Opportunity – Three Powerful Reasons You Should Do Targeted Email
Internet Marketing Opportunity – Three Powerful Reasons You Should Do Targeted Email
A great internet marketing opportunity is obviously email marketing. Email marketing can be done many different ways. However it is a proven fact that the most effective way is to send your messages to a targeted audience. In this article let’s take a look at three powerful reasons you should be doing targeted email and nothing else.
1. Your ultimate goal when it comes to any internet marketing opportunity is to sell. In email marketing you sell products to your list. The best way to do this is to have a list of people who know who you are.
To make your list a targeted audience you actually encourage people to join it and become what is known as opt in subscribers. An opt-in subscriber is someone who has given their permission for you to send email messages to them.
2. Targeted email means that the information that you send to them is something that is relevant to the list that they are signing up for. It makes no sense to send out the latest and greatest cooking recipe if you have an email marketing list of people who are looking for tips on building an Internet business.
A targeted audience is someone who is looking for information on a specific subject. Targeted e-mail marketing then is a form of niche marketing. A niche is a smaller internet marketing opportunity in a larger theme.
You will make more money if you target your marketing to a specific niche as opposed to a broad theme.
3. The long term benefits of doing targeted e-mail marketing are unbelievable. There are people who report earning over one dollar per subscriber that they have on their list every month.
When you understand this statement you know why there are people who are earning several thousand or even hundreds of thousands of dollars per month mailing out to their list. This should get you very excited and encourage you to build a large list of your own.
4. A targeted list is a quality list. You will have very few spam complaints from it, and you will have very few people who unsubscribe once they have joined it. This means that you’re not constantly replacing old subscribers with new ones.
In conclusion these are four powerful reasons you should use targeted e-mail as your main internet marketing opportunity. If you don’t feel you have the skills for that you can certainly learn by joining other people’s list and watching how they do it. The bottom line is that anyone can make a lot of money if they are targeting the e-mails they send.
