Is Your Squeeze Page Not Getting Any Traffic? – 4 Sure Ways To Drive Targeted Traffic To It

Is Your Squeeze Page Not Getting Any Traffic? – 4 Sure Ways To Drive Targeted Traffic To It

Driving traffic into your squeeze page sounds easy, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not. And no matter how great your squeeze page is, you will get no traffic if no one knows it exists.

Also if everyone in the world other than your target audience reads it, that would not help your online business either. This is why you need to find media through which you can drive targeted visitors to your squeeze page. 4 sure ways of finding such traffic are:

1. Optimizing your website for certain key phrases: You can do this by creating pages that specifically focus on one keyword on your given niche. You can then set the page extension to that keyword and optimize the content at a 1.5 percent density for that keyword. You will also want to use it in header and title tags.

2. Consider using pay per click advertising: You can do this by opening an account with Google Adwords. Successful Google Adwords campaigns do two things: they group keywords into multiple small related groups and they send leads to multiple tweaked Squeeze Pages.

This means you will have to start with some careful keyword research and you will then have to alter your Squeeze Pages to match that research.

3. Joint venture: You can enter into a joint venture by compiling a list of possible partners or people who might be able to assist you in some mutually-beneficial way. This list might include other list owners in your niche, site owners in your niche and experts.

There is only one important thing you should keep in mind when contacting joint venture partners and that is to make it as quick, easy and beneficial for them as possible. If they have no incentive for doing it, they probably would not even reply you back. And if it is not easy, they will accept other joint venture offers over yours.

4. Through blog and forum posting: With forum posting, it is important that you do not spam. Instead actively participate on the forum and provide people with something of value. After a while post your product in your signature and try to network with people on the forum who work in similar fields.

Your approach to blog posting should also be similar. Include a signature file that links back to your Squeeze Page, but do not spam. Instead post useful comments. This is not only more ethical but it is plainly more effective. Spam gets deleted. Good comments get praised, inducing people to follow your link and check out your products.

This list is not exhaustive. Driving targeted traffic to your squeeze page should be your number 1 priority and you should actively be looking out for more ways to get targeted traffic to it.

Online Advertising–5 Tips To Get Your Small Business on the First Page

Online Advertising–5 Tips To Get Your Small Business on the First Page

As a local business owner, you can no longer rely on print advertising alone. Online advertising is becoming critical as more and more people are turning to the Internet to find local businesses to deliver the products and services they need. Every second of every day someone is typing into a Google, Yahoo or Bing search box a product and a location like “guitars Nashville Tn”. The resulting search page provides a map and 3-10 businesses.

There are multiple pages to the map, but how many people actually browse the other pages unless they are looking for a specific business? How critical is it then with your small business advertising strategy for your business to be on that first page? Huge!

How do you get there and how do you stay there? The algorithm that Google uses to place businesses on the map is a well-guarded secret, but there are experts who through experience have learned some of the tricks. Most of the experts agree on a few of the secrets.

Have a website–You can get on the first map without a website and Google will list your site as maps.google.com. But you are very vulnerable to being bumped off if you happen to luck into a top spot without a website. Physical address–Google’s intent with the maps is to highlight local bricks and mortar businesses. A business with a physical address will trump one with just a PO Box all else being equal. The address should be accurate and checked for proper placement especially if there is a directional factor like East in the address. Categories and keywords–Selecting the proper categories is critical for showing up in searches. Keyword research in your niche can yield big results allowing you to carefully select the most “searched for” keywords. Other Data Providers–It is believed that listings in other directories like Internet Yellow Pages, Superpages, etc. provides Google with a higher credibility score. But just having those other listings will not help if there are discrepancies between the listings. Customer Reviews–It isn’t clear what role customer reviews plays in the ranking, but most experts believe that they do play a role and should be encouraged.

Strategic Role of the Keyword in Successful on Page Search Engine Optimization

Strategic Role of the Keyword in Successful on Page Search Engine Optimization

Most webmasters know the significance of the Keyword. They also know that to increase the organic search results of a website, you have to adopt successful Off Page and On Page Search Engine Optimization strategies. Here we shall consider On Page Search Engine Optimization strategies and the vital role Keyword plays to increase your website ranking on search engine results pages.

Single keywords are highly competitive today; hence it is advisable and easier to optimize for a keyword phrase rather than a single keyword. In this manner you stand a chance of ranking higher in the search engine results. How and where you place the keywords or keyword phrase can make all the difference between success and failure.

1. Page’s Title Tag:

It is very important that you have your keyword or keyword phrase in the title tag. It will be even better if you can make it the first word or phrase in the title.

2. Description Tag:

It is also necessary to insert your keyword or keyword phrase in the Description tag at least once.

3. Meta Tag:

Google and some of the major search engines no longer consider this important; nevertheless there are some search engines that do place importance to this. No harm will be done by including your main keywords here and reap the rewards from these search engines too.

4. Keywords in your H tags:

You should ensure that your specific keywords appear in a headline H1 tag in your page since search engines are on the look out for such tags. This is the code used to display your headline in large type. This tag should be used only once and should be at the top of the page.

Having sub titles by including your keywords in them and using H2 and H3 tags once each will also be very effective and attract the search engines.

5. Bold Text or Italicized Text:

Since search engines give more consideration for bolded and italicized text compared to regular or normal text, it will be advantageous to have your keywords in bold or italicized text once or twice in the page. Don’t do it in excess since Google can construe it as Black Hat tactics and penalize you.

6. In the Content:

Content is King and the Keywords in your content certainly takes pride of place. Place your keyword or keyword phrase within the first two lines of your content and at the bottom of your web page. This clearly indicates to the search engine what your website is all about. You should of course place your keywords judiciously right throughout the content so that there is a natural flow in the content. Do not stuff your content with keywords. Search Engines can penalize you for keyword stuffing. About 3%-5% of the text will be considered as reasonable.

7. Use Alt on Images with Keywords:

Search engines cannot read images; hence it is important to ensure that you use alt text for every image on your web page. Include your keyword in the text. This helps the search engine to know what the image is about and also helps the speech synthesizers for the blind.

8. In URL:

If your website is up and running with a designated URL, you will not be able to make any changes. But it is important that you give serious thought when you choose the Domain Name for your website at the initial stage itself. It is advantageous to have your prime keyword or words in the URL and preferably at the beginning of the URL.

Conclusion:

It is not everyone who can optimize a web page. It certainly needs skills, effort and patience but it can be done by webmasters themselves. On page search engine optimization is absolutely necessary to reap the benefits of having a website.

Number of Keywords on a Page

Number of Keywords on a Page

One of the most accepted ways to catch the eye of a search engine spider is to optimize the number of keywords on a Web page. By keywords, we mean the core subject described on the Web page, or a particular word or phrase a person wants the search engine to find in cyberspace.

For the best SEO results, the keywords must be repeated at least three to four times within a page of text. There are no defined limits to the number of times the keywords can be used, but ideally they must not be used too often or too infrequently. For keyword phrases (combinations of several keywords), you must take care that the keyword phrases are repeated several times throughout the text, with each of word in the phrase appearing in the exact order every time. Additionally, each word in the keyword phrase must be used often and independently elsewhere in the text.

For example, if the keyword phrase is “SEO optimization,” the whole phrase should be used a number of times in the text body, and the individual words “SEO” and “optimization” should appear spread throughout the text independently a number of times. As a rule of thumb, if the key phrase “SEO optimization” is used 10 times, the individual word “SEO” can be used 7 times and “optimization” can appear 5 times. This is not a set pattern, but it represents the general picture of keyword/key phrase distribution.

Another way to describe the number of keywords on a page is the term “keyword density.” In fact, this is how Web designers explain the arrangement of keywords on a Web page. Keyword density denotes the frequency of times a keyword appears in the given text. It is usually expressed in percentages. For example, a keyword appearing 6 times on a page of 100 words has a keyword density of 6 percent.

Paying attention to keyword density is important because if the keyword density is too low, search engines pay scant attention to the page. Likewise, if a keyword density that is too high could invite trouble if the search engines regard it as spam and activate the spam filter for that particular Web page. If the latter occurs, Google will penalize the Web page and demote the Web site’s ranking. Very simply, maintaining keyword density is like a tightrope walk, with very little room for error. It is hit or miss at its very best!

For optimal search engine response, keyword density on a particular Web page must ideally hit between 5 and 7 percent. In the case of keyword phrases, the total density of the individual words in the phrase must also fall within these limits. Anything more than 7 percent could be counterproductive, as it is detrimental to your SEO success and also spoils the readability of the page’s content.

Another aspect of keyword use that could ratchet up your success with search engine response is the number of keywords used intelligently at the start of the page or in the headings. Search engines generally place more weight on keyword density at the upper portion of a Web page. Also, keywords used in the title tag, those in strong/bold font, and keywords or key phrases featuring links to other pages could influence search results phenomenally.

To conclude, keywords are vital for improving the rankings of any Web page. But you must use caution to use them often enough to positively affect the search results, but not so often that the spiders consider them spam. Once Google or other search engines penalize a Web page for its contents or ungentlemanly behavior, it becomes very difficult to regain the lost ground
