Keywords And Improving Search Text For Optimized Web Pages
Keywords And Improving Search Text For Optimized Web Pages
Search engines now represent a major method of Internet access for many users. These search engines allow users to enter words or phrases (known as key words), and then yield a list of websites relevant to those key words. With the huge growth in size and complexity of the Internet, the power and convenience that search engines offer have quickly grown to become one of the best ways to browse the Web.
Because of this, many webmasters have realized the importance of formatting their web pages properly, in accordance with how search engines work. Getting more visitors (known collectively as traffic) is every webmaster’s goal, since the success of a given website is usually proportional to the size of the audience that it reaches. The means and methods of making a given site or page more accessible and attractive to search engines is now known as search engine optimization, or SEO. Here we discuss some of the basic concepts, which are keyword selection and search text improvement.
Since search engines operate mainly around keywords, webmasters must have a firm grasp of how they work. Search engine optimization bases itself on a set of target keywords, for which it is desired that the website appear on search listings. For instance, a computer dealer might want to get listed higher up for the keywords “online computer sales”.
The previous example actually is also an example of a not-so-good keyword choice. The rule of thumb is to choose relevant keywords that are as specific as possible to your website. Relevance of course refers to how related your target keywords are to the actual content of your webpage. Think about it: if your website is optimized for keywords that are totally unrelated to your content, the visitors you receive might turn out to be not interested in your website, after all!
Specific keywords, on the other hand, are desirable because of the huge amount of competition for more general keywords. There are millions upon millions of websites on the Internet, and the more general keywords would be relevant to a larger portion of these websites. By choosing more specific keywords, you would be able to narrow down the competition and be better able to optimize your website effectively.
After creating a list of good keywords, it is time to actually improve search text, or that is, the text within your web pages. The important thing to remember here is to actually use your target keywords within your body text. Edit your existing text, if necessary, to incorporate as many of your keywords as you can, up to a certain extent.
Keyword density refers to the frequency of occurrence of a particular keyword, and a good figure to shoot for would be 8 – 10%. Any higher than this and there is a chance that the page would be marked simply as spam by search engines. And besides, at that point the sheer repetition of keywords has a good chance of making the body text sound unnatural! That is why it is important to think about right keywords.

Next you’ll want to go to your G-mail to start a spread sheet to keep good track of your work.
If you don’t have a G-mail account you can obtain a free account by signing up for g-mail. Once in your G- mail account click on documents then click on the word new on the left then click on spread sheet. Begin by entering your 10 chosen keywords by typing them in going straight across from left to right. After this is completed go back to your word tracker account. In the keyword box provided enter one keyword at a time then click hit me to get a list of related keywords. The number you see on the list is the number of times that word has been researched across all of the major search engines. By clicking on a keyword of choice you can drill down further for more keywords and even further by clicking on the new keywords that the list propagated. Any number of searches on the left should be 20 or higher keeping in mind that anything below 20 is not worth your time.
To get started with keyword research for web 2.0 content campaigns you should have 10 base or seed keywords in your G-mail spread sheet
so we can determine how competitive those keywords are. If your doing PPC Advertising you’ll be showing up in the very top and right side of Google. with Web 2.0 and content such as blog posts, articles, press releases or Squidoo lenses you’ll be showing up on the bottom half of Google for free. You’ll learn how to do this with good keyword research. By using the free Word Tracker tool we can determine how competitive the keywords are so we rank in the free or natural search of Google.
To determine if the word is being searched choose a keyword and type into Google the click search.
On the right side at the top you’ll see results like 22 million. Now we want to determine how many websites are being optimized within the search engines for this specific keyword so put quotes around the word and run the search again. Ideally, we are looking for a number of 5,000 or less and can use under 10,000 but under 5k is best. So keep going through each keyword to find the optimum number of 5k or less. Keep track of results on your spread sheet so you don’t repeat your work. You can form a new column on your spread sheet by highlighting/click on the B column then right click insert right. Add your results next to the keyword. When you find a keyword that’s a winner be sure to highlight it so it stands out.
Once you’ve found a good keyword (should be able to find 10 good keywords)
write articles that contain good value, post your articles on Squidoo lenses, press releases, Ezine Articles and Articles Base. Then do videos and blog posts so you can start driving quality free traffic to your sights and begin forming relationships on the internet that leads to earning an income.
Keyword Research: Make Them Optimized for Search Engine Indexing
Keyword Research: Make Them Optimized for Search Engine Indexing
Keywords play a crucial role in search engine optimization. Keywords or key word phrases are those words or phrases that define and highlight the crux of your content. The choice of keywords is essential to the indexing of your blog or site to the reputed and most used search engines.
A successful blog is conditional to proper and scientific research of relevant keywords that qualifies a specific niche audience search. Therefore, key word research has to be performed carefully and properly to launch a blog that gets a good rank. It should also be catalogued to match the most vital and relevant search generated in the same field.
Tools can only help you to get or access the inventory of keywords listed for a specific business niche. However, you need to choose the right keyword that narrows down the search to your blog appropriately. If you are veteran business professional and in net business for a long time you might be able to locate the right set of keywords that makes your site or blog rank the top in the search engines.
Keyword research could be disconcerting task if one does not put in effort and time to analyze the need, know the audience, and then design the blog. Tools are available in for free keyword research and implementation. This is not just a mere selection of words that you like but those words that people generally search for when they visit the net.
If you are new in internet business, it is always better to consult SEO experts or firms to help and generate a set of keywords just optimized to match search engine results. Employing an SEO expert will be a positive investment in launching business that has success potential from day one.
The most important factors that should cover your keyword research are: Each page of your blog or site should be optimized for a single keyword, Use of latent semantic indexing or LSI i.e. using key phrases rather than single words, Use of geo-specific keywords or using keywords that are optimized to specific demographics.
Each page of your site should be linked to a specific keyword or keyword phrase. Overuse of relevant keywords in the same content or same page could sometimes be confusing. Using up to five different keywords in the description and meta title are permissible and accepted for indexing by the search engines.
The other factor that is elemental in SEO is clustering of words to express one relevant keyword that defines your text. This positioning of the words in a particular right sequence in which the popular search is generated makes a keyword most sought after. Latent semantic indexing in keyword research and analysis actually focuses the variations or iterations of the keywords. It is a strictly mathematical or scientific approach to relate semantically close keywords and generate fruitful search.
Use of country specific keywords in also an important part to ensure the targeted traffic to your blog or site. The same word could be spelt differently in USA, Australia, and UK. Therefore, your research should be able to exclude or include these variations according to your specific target audience. Referencing the keyword phrases in the commonly used search engines is also significant in this context.
Keyword analysis follows your research task. Your keywords should be checked for competition with other sites. Read relevant blogs related to the same business and study carefully the keywords used and their density. Monitor your keywords for contemporary modifications and new search results. These might require re-positioning and fine-tuning for better matches or best rankings.

Google Place Pages Optimized for Mobile
While Facebook is handing out stickers to the “Like” page businesses of the world, Google is continuing its move toward mobile integration of all things Google on the local level. The latest development is the introduction of optimized Place pages for the Android and iPhone/iPod Touch crowd.
As a result, I think the mobile experience of a Place Page trumps the desktop experience by a mile. One thing that I dislike about Google Place pages on a desktop or notebook is the amount of white space in the listing. You can never do enough to make a listing look like it has some depth. The presentation of the very same data on a small screen though, looks so much better and provides a much better user experience, in my opinion.
Check out the video that Google has so kindly put together for us non-Googlers found on the Google Mobile Blog.
There isn’t much else to say about the offering really. It’s just another instance of Google taking the mobile bull by the horns and making sure that all of the features that many people have some to depend on translate as well, if not better, when experienced on the go.

Your Website Has Been Optimized…. Now What???
Â
Your website has been optimized…. Now WHAT???
Last week, as I was having lunch in a restaurant, a young man sat next to me wearing a T-shirt stating â The road to success is always under construction!â I thought right away about how much this applied to all websites! As I came back  to my office shortly thereafter, I spoke to a customer whose website had just been re-optimized a couple weeks earlier. This individual asked me to  forecast as per when he should expect to see ranking improvements. I was somehow surprised to be asked  that question such a short time after we had updated his site… regrettably, to my customerâs frustration, I had to respond âit depends…â as I realized that I would have to cover several variables involved in all SEO campaigns. This is why I decided to write the following article in order to emphasize the fact that re-optimizing your site is only part of the overall strategy that every single website marketer should implement. The optimization for your website is like food supplements for your body: no matter how many food supplements & vitamins you take, you still have to feed your body healthy food on a daily basis. An up-to-date optimization  will  contribute to  your success, however, you will need to âfeed your websiteâ  with a healthy content and ongoing one-way link enhancement! Although re-optimizing your site is a great & mandatory step toward ranking improvements, it is not sufficient âto do the trickâ. Furthermore, it is impossible to know when you will be able to harvest results from such action. In other terms, forecasting the timeline for result improvements from a re-optimization is unfeasible. In fact, like in the aforementioned example of my customer asking for the âSEO crystal ballâ, his website had been featuring an obsolete profile for quite a  long time.  Such site had therefore been indexed and re-indexed repeatedly by all major crawlers with an archaic technical infrastructure. This means that for months and maybe years, this website had been known accordingly by all major search engines…. Okay, the site has now being re-optimized â its  updated content will be picked up by Google technology and other major crawlers within a few days/weeks â the site will be known for its  ârejuvenatedâ technical profile â major search engines  will then come back and forth and re-index this site on a monthly basis â  it will take months to establish seniority with this up-to-par infrastructure and  to see ranking eligibility ameliorationâ it is like  cleaning up someoneâs  bad credit history; it takes a long time for financial institutions to trust a person who has had previous bad credit; the longer someone had  financial troubles/bad credit, the longer it takes to reestablish a trustworthy relationship with banks â the same applies for a website: the longer it has been left with an antiquated optimization, the longer it will take search engines to make such website eligible for ranking betterment.  It may take as little as a month and as long as a year â nothing can be done from âthis side of the internetâ to expedite the process. As mentioned earlier, re-optimizing your site is not sufficient in itself without a good link popularity (visit the link-building section of our website to familiarize yourself with one-way-link enhancement: http://www.mseo.com/link_building_services.html ). Link-building is a ceaseless effort which needs attention on an ongoing basis. This is a âcontinuous taskâ: be relentless!!! Now… your website has been re-optimized? Good deal! Thatâs just the beginning!  Time has come to work on your link popularity â  work on your website content â be patient and tenacious: the road to success is always under construction (I wish I was the one who came up with that one!). By the way,  after re-optimizing your website, if a search engine consultant/ SEO technician is being prognosticative in regards to when ranking improvements will occur, you then have every reason to worry! Such individual would need to have psychic powers! This type of âvisionary forecastâ is a fraud â once again, in spite of the frustration involved, there is no way for your SEO agency to  guesstimate what is not technically possible to assess. In most cases,  clients want to be reassured â they want someone to tell them that results are just around the corner â  most people feel that if they have paid for optimization, the SEO agency they contracted should know as per when more traffic should be  expected….regrettably, such âpresageâis not available. May be I should not be so straightforward….but come on! Your SEO agency has only limited powers…. Their work consist of re-optimizing your site and it is not like you have a choice anyway! A good optimization is nothing without a great website content and valuable incoming links… Re-optimizing is  just your first step….

Although it is sweet to have SEO websites that are optimized for the search engines, the web sites also need to be educational to acquire patrons and keep visitors returning to the site. Having a website is step 1 in having a successful internet business. Good sites are those that provide valuable information and answer all questions for visitors. In in the competitive arena of web selling, it isn’t enough to just have an interesting and optimized internet site. 5 Tips for Writing Search Engine Optimized Press Releases
Online press releases are one of the most inexpensive and highly effective marketing methods for a small business owner. Yet, many people think only “big businesses” use press releases. Wrong.
The Internet gives a small business’s website the same visibility as a large corporation’s website and online press releases work the same way. Once an online press release is distributed, it’s out there in cyberspace generating hits and driving traffic to your website for years to come. Just last week I received an e-mail from someone who read a press release I wrote two years ago!
Unlike an offline press release that is distributed directed to journalists at newspapers and other media outlets, the online press release is “evergreen,” it never goes away. A simple keyword search could turn up your press release years later. Compare this to the offline press release that may or not be used by the journalists and then is trashed, never to be seen again.
An online press release also has a worldwide distribution to thousands of media outlets. Popular newswire service PRWeb.com, e-mails “press releases to between 60,000 and 100,000 global contacts points including journalists, analysts, freelance writers, media outlets and newsrooms.”
Along with its large distribution and staying power, an online press release can be even more effective in driving traffic to a website if it is search engine optimized. Here are five tips on how to create a more powerful online press release:
1. Have a newsworthy angle. A press release is not a sales pitch. Provide the media with information that answers the questions of “who, what, where, why and when.” Make it interesting by telling a story that engages the reader
2. Choose the right keywords. What words would someone use to find your business when using Google? Experiment to see which words are most popular. When you type in a phrase in the Google search feature, it now lists the number of times that particular phrase has been searched in the last 30 days. This is a new free service being offered by Google; use it to your advantage.
3. Vary keyword placement. Don’t get so carried away with your keyword phrase that it shows up in every other sentence of the press release. Have a reasonable balance in your writing so that the keyword placement is invisible to the reader. Include the keyword phrase in the first sentence and then two or three more times throughout the press release
4. Use eye catching headlines. Make sure to include the keyword phrase in your headline and at the same time, make the headline interesting. Write the headline after you have completed your press release and it should easily come to you.
5. Use anchor text. Although it will cost you more to place a press release with anchor text, it is well worth the money. Anchor text is the hyperlinked words on a Web page that you click on to take you to another location within the website or to another website. Search engines love anchor text because it tells them what the page is about. It’s a great way to boost your ranking with the search engines, especially Google.
Consider using search engine optimized press releases to publicize your business and drive traffic to your website. It’s simple to get started and hugely rewarding. One of my clients had over 1,400 media outlets pick-up his press release within two weeks after I wrote it. A keyword search found the press release as top ranked on both Google and Yahoo. Needless to say, we are going to continue with monthly search engine optimized press releases.
