Essential Keyword Research A Must For Article Marketing

Essential Keyword Research A Must For Article Marketing

Almost everyday I come across people in forums asking why they are not making sales or getting traffic to their website or article even though it has a high Google search position. I myself have had number 1 spots on google , yet have no traffic or sales and there was a very good reason for that which I will go into in a moment.

Anyone can get a high google position but that does not guarantee any traffic or sales and it pains me to see so many products and ebooks out there claiming that their particular system or method can get you a top spot on Google because it means jack if you do not target the right audience.

I had a guy who emailed me from a forum and asked me for help in trying to figure out why he had not made a single sale from his site selling watches. His site was targeting 2 keywords, “First Class Watches” and “Class One Watches”.

After a quick Google search, it soon became clear as to what his problem was. First off, the niche is highly competitive and secondly he is targeting the wrong keywords. The keywords he is using does not in any way shape or form attract any kind of buying visitor. Just because someone types in First Class Watches does not mean they are looking to buy, infact I don’t even think that it is even a brand name, just a generalization of watches.

My advice to him was to do some serious research into watches and find out if people are searching for particular brands of watch and then check to see if anyone is looking to buy particular brands of watch and research the buying keywords volume, then build his site around those buying keywords, otherwise he is simply wasting his time. Like I pointed out to him, Sara Young of Easy Paycheck Formula covers this topic in fine detail and reveals good keyword research techniques using some free resources which I recommended he take a look at.

Look at it this way, I would rather have 10 potential buying visitors than 1,000 happy browsers. People who have dropped on your site via a buying keyword are there for a reason, they are there because they typed it in and they are looking to spend money and that’s why so many people get good Google rankings but don’t get traffic or make sales..targeting the wrong keywords.

Keyword Research is a Must for SEO

Keyword Research is a Must for SEO

You don’t have to be a computer genius to achieve higher search engine rankings for your website. There is a multitude of methods to get your site on the top of these search engines. Search engine optimization is a great way to get tons of free unique targeted visits to your site every month. Search engine optimization is very important for your online business if you are interested in staying in business. If you are consistent with these methods, your overall search engine optimization will increase, which will in turn boost your page rank.

When researching keywords you need to look for keywords that have many searches but not much competition. To figure out the r/s ratio all you need to do is divide the Each search engine results by the number of searches. Keyword density means the number of keywords in relation to the number of words on your page. Let’s say you are using a keyword that is “blue” and you have 10 words on the page and blue shows up 3 times, your keyword density would be 30%. You might also want to include a variation of the keywords in the menus, links or text.

When creating your title make sure you place the best and most important keywords in your title, this way when the search engines index your site they will show up in the result area. Remember that the SERPs (search engine results) page is the first opportunity for conversion. Your title should be hot and compelling. Creating unique titles for each of your pages will enable the search engines to direct traffic to not only your main page but also to these back pages. In addition to your homepage, it is possible to optimize other pages of your site using niche keywords. For multi-page sites, a site map can be an efficient way of insuring all of your pages are found and indexed by search engine spiders.

Using an anchor text, is one of the best methods when linking back to your website, it allows the keyword to be the link that points to your site. Anchor text is the link or text that is used to reflect the theme or subject of the page or paragraph that will link the page. The text is integral to your site, and there should be as much as works for the site. When creating links make sure you include your keyword in the link, for example if your keyword is “money” then create a link in this format money ,when the search engines index it will help your search rankings for that keyword.. When you place your keywords inside the link your are reporting to the search engines that your websites theme has something to do with the specific keyword. Anchor text is the text the web visitor sees on the web page, which is hyperlinked to your domain name or URL.

H1 or heading tags are very important to search engines. You have to place it at the top of the page and should contain your primary keywords/key phrases. Meta Tags are information placed in the HTML header of a web page, providing information to a search engine that is not visible to a user. When creating a website you need to include the meta tags for each page, if you don’t the search engines will get the information from the top of your page.

Preselling – A Must For Internet Marketing

Preselling – A Must For Internet Marketing

Over the years, the most important stage in any Internet Marketing process is Preselling. Preselling is the work you must start doing before you release and sell your product; that’s why it’s called pre-selling. It’s the work you do to convince your to-be-customers that your product has great benefit and only a fool will pass your offer without purchasing — all this without actually “selling” the mentioned product.

People don’t want to be sold. But in preselling, you are not selling something. You are establishing your credibility and the credibility of your product. They don’t buy anything at this point. It is still in the “window shopping” stage.

Preselling can be seen as selling yourself to the customer before you sell your product. When you sell yourself to the customer, you are making your customers think “okay, this guy is not one of those greedy marketers. He’s actually here to help me out.” so that they will let their guard down and listen to your sales pitch.

Preselling is also the art of building up anticipation. If a friend told you his chronic headache has been solved overnight by some new medicine but did not mention what it really was, would that leave you wondering what the medicine really is? More so if you’re having a chronic headache yourself! That’s why by mentioning a benefit which would get your prospects’ ears perked up again and again but not really revealing what the solution is, you will get your prospects dying to hear what you have to say next as you reveal slightly more about the solution each time. When you finally uncover the whole thing, your prospects will be crawling all over your website looking for the buy button!

However, preselling is not just about unveiling your product bit by bit. In fact, that was only one of the various ways one can presell. For example, you might run a weekly newsletter on acne problems and coincidentally you have just written this great ebook called “Ways to Solve Acne Woes Once and For All”. In your newsletter, you can presell by including a snippet or two from your ebook and mentioning it as a viable solution to acne problems. If people get good advice from your newsletter, they will perceive you as an expert on acne problems and naturally will be curious to find out the ways you can teach them to solve their problems.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to giving value to people before you ask people to buy something from you. If you can help people to solve their problems, they will, more often than not, be very willing to buy products from you.

The base of 1.15 billion regular Internet users is something very lucrative for the global advertisers. They use it for searching information, surfing on favourite websites, social media interactions, official work, research and analysis. All of these and many other activities lead them to web pages that satisfy their interest. The content of these web pages are based on the website theme. Failed Agreements: What Copywriters Must Know About Negotiation

Failed Agreements: What Copywriters Must Know About Negotiation

There are two financially ruinous negotiating tactics often made by beginning copywriters.

An example of financially ruinous negotiating tactic #1 comes from a successful book author who is adding copywriting to his writing skill set. Here, paraphrased, is a comment he made to me:

“My client seems unhappy with the work. I’m thinking of telling her she doesn’t have to pay the final 50 percent.”

My response: Copywriting is part science and part “art.” And it’s the subjective aspect of assessing copy that leads writers to feel responsible when a client is not happy.

However, time (and expertise) is all the copywriter has to sell. A client contracts for that time and uses it, and must respect it with the agreed-upon pay.

Is the copywriter always right to demand payment when a client’s satisfaction is unrewarded?

If the copy is indeed poor, then of course the client shouldn’t have to pay anything at all. But in the case of my student, a Creative Brief was used, and in fact, filled out by the client herself.

Thanks to the Creative Brief, the Web site copy was “on target,” and since I reviewed it as a “copy chief,” I know that the first draft copy was very good.

However, the client’s email noted that the “voice” was not sufficiently hers, that she did not feel that her positioning as a “rural GP” came through strongly enough, that her bio seemed overly altruistic, and that it was clear that she would have to take the copy “in house” to finish.

When a copywriter gets this kind of feedback, his immediate response is often one of confusion, and sometimes deep insecurity. These emotions cause him to react defensively, instead of studying the response.

Rather than throw in the towel and lose half the copywriting fee, I advised this writer to call the client and offer to add what she perceived to be missing from the copy.

Unless the copy is way off mark — and it shouldn’t be if the writer used a Creative Brief — the solution is to make changes and edit until the work is acceptable and meets expectations.

The take-away: DON’T offer refunds or partial payments. DON’T get defensive. Instead, study and analyze a client’s response. Get a clear picture of what the client is complaining about, then fix it.

If the client can’t specifically tell you what’s wrong, then it becomes obvious to both parties that it’s the client who is failing in the communication process. Revisions, refinements, and editing are a natural part of the copywriting process and their function is to “fix what’s wrong” and perfect the piece.

(In this case, the small two-person operation exhibited characteristics typical of small business…they were unsophisticated about marketing and its processes, and unclear about the value of copywriting. They confirm my timeworn advice to avoid small businesses and seek work from more marketing-savvy mid-size and large companies.)

An example of financially ruinous negotiating tactic #2 comes from one of my recently “graduated” coaching students.

She asks: “Do you always quote based on your time or do you quote based on the value the project has to the client?”

The answer is to always quote based on the value to the client. If your work makes the client many thousands of dollars, or more, then you should be fairly compensated.

In cases where your work is directly linked to leads or sales, it helps to view yourself not so much as a “copywriter” but as a sales pro. Get the fact that you’re a writer out of your head and see yourself in a different light.

Who are the most important individuals in any for-profit entity? Those who bring in the business! Everyone else’s salary depends on them. That’s why they’re usually paid more than anyone else. YOU are in that category.

Social Media Optimization – 5 Major Rules Must Have

Social Media Optimization – 5 Major Rules Must Have

Social Media Optimization or SMO is a set of methods for generating publicity through social media, online communities and community websites. It is in many ways associated as a strategy to viral marketing through the use of networking in social bookmarking, video and photo sharing websites instead of having the word of mouth created through friends or family. It is also considered as an integral part of an online reputation management or search engine reputation management technique for individuals or organizations that care about establishing their presence online.
As of today’s marketing industry, SMO has been widely used by marketers to give their business a boost in authority for their websites. Through SMO, they were able to raise their site’s performance and visibility in the entire internet marketing world. In relation to this, many are still wondering how SMO works. Below are the 5 major rules that can assist you while conducting SMO:
1. Boost your exposure through links. As you will notice in the internet community, many sites appear to be rarely updated. So if you want to optimize your site through social media, you need to update the content then use the links of your content to be visible on different social media sites. Adding a blog is a great step.
2. Use the power of tagging and bookmarking. You should add content features to your site like quick buttons which your audience can click if they like what they have read on your site. Be sure that bookmarking and tagging on your site is easy to find and navigate. Remember, typical visitors want a quick process.
3. Reward inbound links. Inbound links send visitors to your site. So it will be a good act to reward them since it helps to boost your site. You can encourage more inbound links if you are known to be someone who provides rewards back.
4. Aid your content travel. When your site has content, submit it to relevant site article directories. This way, your content is being noticeable to many sites and will help you to boost your own site if you provide a link in the article back to your original article.
5. Allow others embed your content. Letting others embed your content is a great way to prove your existence online. It also helps your content travel further and a more tendency of showing up to different sites.
Actually, SMO is easy. You just have to know the basics. After that, you will notice that you are increasing your site’s visibility. And now that I have revealed the five (5) major rules, start from there. I will be updating these rules in future articles as these ideas get more sophisticated.

7 Client Attraction Questions You Must Ask Your Target Audience

7 Client Attraction Questions You Must Ask Your Target Audience

If you are currently in a corporate job, you won’t know the first thing about starting and running a business. Therefore, you may be initially pinched for both time and money. Yet, once you’ve defined your idea and defined who your best and favorite client is, you need to do some Client Attraction Marketing and sales. How to do this with limited time and money is the question many people have all over the world. My advice is always the same – put yourself in your ideal client’s well-worn shoes and ask yourself these questions:

1. What is it that keeps them up at night worrying?

2. What is the biggest struggle they encounter on a daily basis?

3. What is the biggest improvement they could make in their lives, if they used your product or service?

4. What would they buy before and after your product or service?

5. Where do they shop? Where do they hang out?

6. What do they read?

7. What would they pay anything and do anything to solve or achieve?

Sometimes, my clients have a difficult time getting answers to these questions. This is when I recommend asking your ideal client directly. Make a list of the 5 clients you currently have that you would like to attract in large numbers. These are your favorite clients, the ones who got the best results from you and you LOVE working with. Contact them, and let them know that you are working on new marketing material and need their help (most will be honored that you asked them and will jump at this opportunity to help you) and that you’d like to ask them a few questions over the phone. Tell them it will take 30 minutes to 1 hour to answer the questions above, and then setup a time to talk. Consider doing this over lunch so you can really spend some time with them on this.

If you don’t currently work with your ideal client, then become a client detective. Find another adult that fits your client profile, preferably someone connected to lots of others who have the same need. Remember, birds of a feather flock together. Does your ideal client live on the other side of the globe? If so, you don’t need to jump on an airplane to do your detective work. Just locate a Foreign National business association in your area and attend one of their monthly meetings. Or, just write the president of the association with your questions. You’ll get the information you need on how to approach this client, what their struggles are, and how to position yourself in the future to attract that type of client effortlessly.

Skipping this research is the biggest mistake new entrepreneurs make. They assume they know their target market, and focus on building a product or service that they “think” people will want. They write little slogans that their friends love, but aren’t worth a hill of beans when it comes to attracting clients consistently. The marketing effort then becomes laborious and costly because you don’t have a clear message.
