Ipad Video Lessons Review

Ipad Video Lessons Review

YOU REALLY DON’T KNOW HOW POWERFUL YOUR IPAD IS UNTIL YOU LEARN HOW TO USE IT WITH IPAD VIDEO LESSONS, UNLEASH THE POWER OF YOUR IPAD

When the Ipad was released be the Apple company many of us jumped up to be first to buy it. It looks soo good, feels great on your hands, BUT here is a problem, THEY IS NO MANUAL THAT COME WITH IT.

I was so frustrated opening my ipad and not seeing and manual in the box, i really thought maybe it was just a mistake. I asked myself why is that Apple believe that their models are “easy to use”.

The statement they tried to make was that you don’t even need a manual. And, maybe that’s true if you’re just going to use your iPad as an overpriced email checker. But, it’s not just a giant iPhone. You want to get more out of your iPad. You want to unlock it’s full potential.

Well this made me to hunt for a tutorial or manual. I came across the Ipad Video Lessons.  Just watching the videos showed me what i was missing. They are so many features of the Ipad that you will never know about if you don’t have this video lessons.

What is Ipad Video Lessons..?

This is a series of videos that will help you understand more about your Ipad. This was created by a “Super-Geek” who after months of frustration, not getting the Ipad full potential, decided to create a manual that will help understand the full potential of his Ipad. The Videos reveals all those tricks that you will never have been able to learn. The best part about this videos is that you can watch them on you ipad while at the same learning the tips.

Will it benefit you to learn any of this tips

Let me start by saying you don’t know what you are missing, an Ipad is the best gadget in the fashion right now, but whats the use of having something that you cant really use to its full potential. Would it not be cool if you can show your friends a thing or two about how to really use their ipad. So yes, this is what you need.

When it comes to Ipad, I HIGHLY recommend a wonderful resource called Ipad Video Lessons! Check it out!”

I love my ipad, I take it everywhere with me. I did’nt know how to really use my ipad until i came across the Ipad Video Lessons.

I will forever be the happest Ipad Owner

Lessons learned: what Apple has gained having lost the PC war to Microsoft

Lessons learned: what Apple has gained having lost the PC war to Microsoft

The unleashed war actions like Apple’s suit against HTC which is a Google’s partner, Adobe-Apple tension, and many other minor signs all that gives certain ground to view the relations between Apple and Google as a full-scale war similar to that Apple had in the past with Microsoft. Google being a relatively new company can hardly boast of big expertise in building an overall marketing and promotional product strategy, while Apple having suffered in the past a bitter defeat had to get some useful experience. And it seems that it really has learnt something.

Consumer-oriented distribution channels. During the PC Wars, PCs were delivered through a rather limited retail shelf space. There was a range of branded stores. To be successful one should place its products there along with products of other manufacturers. No technical support was guaranteed. Today the situation is completely different. Apple runs a range of stores that provide a superior environment for consumers to experience hardware hands-on and learn about the full line-up of Apple products. By contrast, Google is absolutely lacking that consumer cooperation feature while Apple has learnt its lesson.

Pricing. Apple used to price its Mac products at a higher range, pointing at a unique nature of their devices in comparison to Windows-based PC offerings. People turned out to be more saving –oriented and chose cheaper Microsoft-IBM products. Now Apple is leading quite a reasonable pricing policy, not leaving a sufficient pricing gap between its products and products of its major competitors. Besides, iPad is the cheapest new product category delivered by Apple.

Development environment. To have a quality platform can be good but it is definitely not enough. It must attract developers who will enrich its content with diverse apps focused on different target audience. While competing with Microsoft, Apple forgot this, launching and abandoning technology initiatives, co-opting and competing with their developers and at times missed promised milestones.
By contrast now Apple is following the path Microsoft routed almost 20 years ago. It integrates core technologies across all products (moving on to the 4.0 stage of its mobile platform at all devices), made sure developer tools readily support these core initiatives (SDK kits which are updated on the regular basis), has consistently hit promised milestones, and has ensured that the iPhone application development process makes money for the third parties engaged.
That’s why the number of iPhone only apps has past over 140 000, and iPhone and iPad developers all over the world are eager to be engaged in the pious activity.

Target audience choice: PCs first came to offices of large enterprises giving them a possibility to dictate standards or types of solutions. Common users kept to the same hardware they used at work. Moreover, a more conservative nature of Microsoft was a safe harbor when compared to weird Mac products. Microsoft managed to straddle enterprises which were the key audience and drove the company to success. Today Apple is good at defining its target audience and making its products mass-market friendly. Though the slogan “Think different” seems to be out-of-date, as Apple products are in the consumer mainstream now, while Google occupies the niche Apple had many years ago – tech focused adherents.

To sum it up Apple’s market success is evident and undoubted though the company itself is becoming that powerful evil enterprise Microsoft was in the previous decade. And it is that resilience and all embracing reach that has averted many prior adherent Microsoft’s followers. Can the scenario repeat?

Meta Tags and Keyword Density Lessons for Your Internet Business

Meta Tags and Keyword Density Lessons for Your Internet Business

Okay, you have a domain name, layout and content. Now we get to a step that will go a long way to determining how the site will rank. Yes, we are going to focus on two infamous topics, meta tags and keyword density.

Meta Tags

Meta tags are html code blocks that “tell” a search engine what is on a particular site page. Meta tags are not visible on the pages of your site, but search engine robots focus on them. Three different meta tags should appear on each page of your site.

The meta title essentially acts as the title of the page. When you do a search on Google, the meta title is the first underlined text in each listing. The content of the meta title should include the keywords you want to push with the most important being listed first. Each word should be included no more than 2 times and the total word count should not exceed 13 words.

The meta description tag allows for an expansion of the meta title. Use short sentences to emphasize the who, what, why and where of your business. Make absolute sure that every keyword in your title also appears in your description.

One of the aggravating things about search engines is how they use meta descriptions. Most pick only certain sections of your description. When your link appears in the search results, the description may make little if any sense. Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do about it.

Historically, meta keywords were a very important factor in the ranking process. How times have changed. Google doesn’t even look at them, while MSN and Yahoo give them marginal value. You should still use them, if for no other reason then forcing you to focus on your keyword phrases when creating content.

Keyword Density

Keyword density simply refers to how often keywords appear in a page as a percentage of the total text. A few years back, it was common practice to cram and hide keywords all over a page. You probably remember seeing pages with thousands of keywords listed at the very bottom. This no longer works and is considered spamming by search engines.

Much like the meaning of life, the best keyword density percentage is a hotly debated topic. Theories and opinions ranged from 1.5 to as high as 20 percent. We recently ran a test with a page that only had a keyword phrase on it, thus representing a 100% keyword density. The only search engine that reacted was Yahoo, which listed it at number 1 for 25 days before dropping it. Notwithstanding this test, the simple fact is that nobody really knows the optimal density, except for programmers at the search engines. Rumor has it that they are permanently locked away in the Himalayas, so there isn’t much hope of getting any information from them.

Our experience is keyword density really doesn’t matter if you have flowing text on the page. The point of your site is to sell, so write copy that accomplishes that goal. Once you have completed the copy, modify it to make sure the important keywords appear at least once in the first paragraph. Do not force the keywords into sentences; just make sure they appear at least once. We have clients with number 1 rankings on Google, Yahoo and MSN that have keyword densities ranging from .5 to 18.5 percent. Yes, these rankings are on keywords with lots of competition and traffic.

In Closing

In my opinion, meta tags and keyword density are mystified far too much. They are important factors, but the content on your pages is far more so. Be judicious with your content, pursue a targeted linking campaign and the rankings will follow.

Copywriting, Tutorials, Lessons and Training

Copywriting, Tutorials, Lessons and Training

Copywriting is a field which you can learn through practice and education. If you find that you’re a good writer, the only nuance is that you must learn is how to write in a way that sells. Within this article today on copywriting tutorials and lessons, we will look at a couple of different books which you can look into it as well as tutorials and lessons on the Internet.

Copywriting will not be easy to learn and it is a lifelong subject which you will continue to improve at if you work at the subject. To paraphrase a quotation from Stephen King, he said that copywriting, really writing in general, is a subject that you continue to improve on. It would be similar to lifting weights for 10 years. You will develop muscles. If you write every day for a certain period of time, you will develop writing skills to the point where you become a very good writer. If you focus on copywriting and write everyday, you will become a very good copywriter.

The key to copywriting training for your development into a good copywriter is to make sure that you continue to train every day. When you take the time to work on this subject day after day, you will find that you will have consistent development. Another key to copywriting training is that you must make sure to continually learn about the field. There’s a great deal of information to learn about copywriting and this is not a field which you can learn overnight. It will take the development and persistence as well as the education and experience that you get from continually working.

The first resource that you should look for in copywriting training would be any book by Dan Kennedy. He is one of the world’s foremost experts on copywriting, specifically direct response writing. Direct response writing is copywriting where people respond immediately to the offer that you present to them. This is often done in the form of direct mail. One of the very good books that he wrote is called The Ultimate Sales Letter.

If you would like an introduction into copywriting, visit your local library. You will find that there should be at least one or two do-it-yourself books on copywriting training. Another great resource to help you would be the Internet. There are many different resources out there to help you in your copywriting training. Here are a couple of good websites which have tutorials on operating which you can use at your own convenience. The first website which you should visit is: http://www.sherus.com/business/copywriting/. The second website that you should visit is: www.adcopywriting.com/Tutorials_List.htm. Each of these websites has different steps that you should work on so that you do not have to learn everything at once. You can learn at your own pace and when you have the time available.

 Website Optimization Suggestions:

1. Need to start a blog.

2. On-page SEO needs keywords in the home page title tag.

3. Meta-description does not exist.

4. Domain expiring at end of year.

5. No Twitter profile associated with the website.

 Website Optimization Suggestions:

 1. A blog would be a perfect method of communicating to their volunteers and donors.  Much better than a newsletter. People involved in a non-profit love stories, and what better way to communicate stories than with a blog?

2. Too many competing images on the home page. Stick to the story.  The Flash competes with the banner.

3.  Speaking of stories and images, President Barack Obama visited SOME and that would be pretty big news.  Yet, the picture and accompanying story is buried in the lower left of the home page, way below the fold (see below).

5 Call-To-Action Lessons From Craigslist Scalpers

ticketWe’ve all done it. We forget to buy tickets for an important game or concert when they first go on sale. Because of this mistake, we then spend hours on Craigslist looking for tickets, ending up clicking on all types of sketchy ads.

Why? Because some Craigslist scalpers are great call-to-action (CTA) writers. While looking at spreadsheets and attending workshops are important educational opportunities, I would argue that a few minutes of looking at ticket scalpers’ ads on Craigslist can also provide ammunition to bolster your lead generation activities.

Don’t believe me? I took just 5 minutes on Craigslist, and here is what I learned.

craigslist

1. Context Matters – When we use Craigslist to look for tickets or anything else for that matter, most of the time we have a clear idea of what we are looking for. For example, if you are looking for Boston Red Sox
tickets and you see a random ad for “Boston Tickets,” you’re likely not going to click on it. The same is true if you are a B2B company that is working to generate leads to sell medical supplies. CTAs work best when they are in the right context. To make your CTAs work better, it is important that you segment your content. For example, if you are putting CTAs with blog posts, make sure that the CTA relates to the content of the post as closely as possible.

2. You Have to Get Noticed, Even When People Are Looking

– When people are on a web page, many visual elements can distract them. On Craigslist, people visit the site with the intention to buy, but they don’t go through and click all the ads. One of the things I love about looking at Craigslist ads is that every seller is working with the same text ad, yet some can make ads grab your attention by using tactics like all CAPS. Design matters.  It isn‘t good enough that somebody has decided to come to your site; it is your job to create a CTA that has the visual appeal to convert them into a lead.

3. Pricing Too Soon Can Be a Deal Breaker

– How many of you have avoided a Craigslist advertisement simply based of the price listed in the headline? Be honest; we all have done it. The lesson to learn here is to avoid mentioning pricing in your CTA
whenever possible. Focus on creating non-monetary value for the prospect to help ensure they will convert without being influenced prematurely by price.

blog call to actions

4. Building Trust Only Takes a Split Second
– When looking for tickets, one of the most comforting phrases you can see is “face value.” It makes you think that the person is a fan and not a scalper after your hard-earned cash. What is the “face value” of your CTAs? What is a word or phrase that you can put in your CTAs
today that can help build trust with prospective customers? Find the answer. It is normally some type of phrase that creates a middle ground between you and the customer.

5. Urgency Sells – Timing is a key factor that drives people to action. Does your CTA
have a timing element? Think back to our friends, the Craigslist scalpers. How do they use timing? They use phrases like “won’t last long.” When creating CTAs, remember to include some type of element of urgency. Some examples: “offer ends tomorrow” or “only for the first 100 visitors.” Sure, these phrases need to work with the overall theme of the CTA, but urgency can mean the difference in hitting your leads goal this month or not.

You can learn from anyone at anytime. People who sell tickets through one-line text ads everyday get very good at writing them. Take a few minutes and see what you can learn from Craigslist scalpers that could apply to your business.

What other non-traditional sources do you look to for marketing inspiration?

Lessons in Web Site Optimization Using Website Grader

new WSG logo

Our first effort at a live HubSpot webinar was better than we expected (thank goodness!).  We were prepared with a few web sites to review with the 1500 registrants of our live optimization event and we were able to call two marketing managers and discuss what they were trying to achieve with their website and get real-time feedback.

Mike and I enjoyed it so much that we’re going to do this weekly and we’ll do everything live!

Company: Information Mapping – Website Grader score: 96  info map site

With a score of 96, you’d think there might not be much room for improving. Wrong!  Mike and I both found a few areas we thought this website could do better.

Our suggestions for improvements:

1. Start a blog.  With a blog providing regular content they will be able to generate more inbound links.

2. Reduce the amount of Call to Action clutter on their Home Page.  So many offers, it is very distracting.

3. Stop using Information Mapping in the title tag and on every page, and start utilizing descriptive, long-tail keywords was an easy fix and one to surely juice up their SEO presence.

Company: Mesiro & Fink – Website Grader Score: 6

mesirofinklaw.com

This is a three-month-old site and has been nicely optimized by an SEO firm they hired, so their score of 6 came as a bit of shock to Cynthia when we talked to her during the webinar.  She’s concerned that this site is not generating the number of leads that they expected.  Here’s a few things that Mike & I thought might be helpful:

1. Put a telephone field on the form.  The form is nice and visible but the immediate need for someone with their skill set might necessitate a telephone call instead of an email.

2. Attach the social media efforts they are making to the website and make sure the name of the firm is being used in their Twitter handle.  Currently, they are using a more generic name to tweet.

3. Contribute more actively to their blog and make sure the posts are more educational and less self-promotional in nature.

Company: BT-TelConsult – Website Grader score: 44

BT--

This is a big company.  British-Telecom could afford to do just about anything they wanted, right?  Well, it appears that they might want to consider a few tweaks to their site if they want people to contact them.

1. They had a telephone number on their site (if you looked for it) but wouldn’t an email form be better if someone was looking for consulting help?

2. No Blog!  A company of this size is perfectly poised to leverage their army of consultants in talking about the Telecommunications vertical.  They could have tons of blog posts that would help them with the next key point.

3. Only 162 indexed pages.  Clearly, they need more content, more frequently which would give them more inbound links (currently just 29!).

Company: Photos by Orion – Website Grader Score: 21

photos by orion

This new site has a very passionate business manager, Katherine.  We were able to talk to her about this site at great length and it was great to have an opportunity to understand how a creative person sees the web.  There were a few points we wanted to help Katharine with and most of them had to do with design.

This is a new site and we wanted her to do more than a few things in order to optimize it.

1. Move away from frames in the web site.  The difficulty of having two bars to navigate can be confusing.

2. Eliminate the knocked-out white on black background, a favorite of designers around the world, yet notoriously difficult to read.

3. Connect the blog that has some excellent content on it directly into the website.  The content would be a terrific lead generation tool for this site.

4. Add geographical keywords to the title tags.

5. Use more pictures of portraits and wedding photography in the site, especially on the home page.  The beautiful butterfly is nice, but it is not their business.

Join us on Tuesday, April 6 at 1 PM for our next Live Optimization Webinar.  Please submit your site and we’ll look forward to talking to you live!

Social Media Pitfalls: 5 Lessons Learned

Allow me to introduce my friend Jordan Kasteler also known as Utah SEO Pro. His background is in organic search engine optimization, which has been doing professionally for 4 years now, and has stayed pretty focused on that and has’t delved much into paid search at all. But as of late, he told me he has been playing a lot lately in social media and there are quite a few things he has learned. He also told me that there were quite a few things historically done he wishes he could erase. He doesn’t want to look like an idiot, especially to the SMOs, but what he wants to do is save a few headaches for people getting into social media. Today I am going to take what Jordan has taught me and I’m going to focus primarily on Digg because, it seems to be the most complex social media site out there due to its sophisticated algorithm. I am going to write his exact words, of course with his permission. So everything below will be straight from Jordan, which is some great insights on Social Marketing.

Mistake #1: Abusing self-promotion

For the past year and a half to two years I’ve had social media accounts but I never used them. If I did ever use them it was just to submit some of my own blog posts or my company’s blog posts too.

Let me note that self-promotion isn’t bad all the time. If you’ve established an authoritative status in a community or are a power-user then you are more likely to get away with it if you do so sparingly. Nobody likes a self-promoter or person who is greedy. It is essential to contribute to other people and help them promote their stories. Karma comes full-circle when it comes to social networking.

Mistake #2: Not understanding the scope of the site or the community in its entirety

I’ve heard a lot of social media experts suggesting to take a look at the site and community before you register to understand what it’s about. That advice is half the battle but before you can really understand what it’s about you have to observe, participate, and test significantly. My mistake was not knowing that the one community perceives things differently than other communities.

For example, Digg.com hates SEOs. I learned this by my low response on SEO articles submitted. Good thing I was currently operating under the name “jordankasteler” instead of “UtahSEOpro”. This could have been bad had I started participating with the name “UtahSEOpro” and then realized, after much wasted time and effort, that none of my stuff will ever get promoted because nobody likes me.

Another example happened lately on Mixx.com. I submitted one of my own articles to a group on Mixx that had a rule strictly against self-promotion. Needless to say that didn’t go over well.

Moral of the story here is know the community, know the rules, know that goes hot and what doesn’t, know who’s hot and who’s not and imitate them.

Another tip is to seek out niche communities that aren’t as big as say Reddit, Digg, Delicious, or StumbleUpon. There are niche sites like sphinn.com for Internet marketers, Sk-rt.com for woman, and Hugg.com for nature lovers. Relevant content in niche communities can drive more traffic and links than broader communities sometimes.

Mistake #3: Not having goals When I very first started using Digg used it almost as a bookmarking service. At the time, I probably didn’t even know the difference between Digg and Delicious. When I found a site I liked, I submitted it to Digg not considering or caring if the community would like it or not or if it was news worthy. What a horrible waste, I now have 70+ submissions and only a small percentage of them are actual quality content that I’ve submitted with intentions of promoting news worthy or remarkable article, video, or image.

Start by creating goals for every piece you submit. Your goals should be to promote everything you submit and do so with pride. If you submit low-quality content then you’re a low-quality contributor and the community will recognize it quickly. Don’t just submit and forget. Use a tool like Digg Alerter to watch your submitted content. If someone comments on a post then respond back to them whether the comment was positive or negative. The key here is to engage with the community and try to start a conversation. Comments are a good quality indicator of a post so this is an important part detail. If you don’t have a good response for the comment at least vote it up or down depending on the quality of the comment.

Mistake #4: Choosing quantity over quality when it comes to friends

Initial thinking of a newbie would be the more friends the better, right? WRONG! I’m not sure if this is recent with Digg’s new algorithm change or what but what I’ve found out is that the more friend you have the higher the threshold is for a story to go popular. My mistake was adding too many friends and not monitoring if they were voting for my content or not. After decreasing my friend count on Digg from nearly 500 friends to about 65 friends I’ve seen the threshold drop dramatically. For most social media sites you want to keep your friends very relevant to your interests and make sure that they are active users. Having non-active users, people who don’t appreciate your submissions, and people who don’t help you promote your submitted content is useless. I’ll go back to Karma here, if you’re not being active and helping others yourself then don’t expect your friends to do the same.

A wise thing is to constantly monitor your friend activity and trim down friends who aren’t beneficial to your success or not. This isn’t to hurt anyone’s feelings but if they aren’t going to play they need to get off the field.

Mistake #5: Not using RSS

I hate RSS when it comes to reading my news so I’ve stayed clear from it but I discovered that RSS is my best friend for social media. There are a couple reasons why. The first reason is if you’re contributing a lot of content, especially news worthy items, then timing is everything. It’s wise to subscribe to news sites like CNN.com or NYTimes.com so you can catch hot stories as soon as they are posted.

The second reason is that you can subscribe to what your friends are posting so you can help them promote their content without having to go to each profile and check up on them daily. It’s a huge timesaver and an easy way to keep tabs on your friend’s activity.

*BONUS Mistake* Not considering submission timing

There are certain times in each community where there are more eyes on the site or certain categories than others. Knowing those times and submitting during them is important. Generally, most people surf social sites in the morning or around lunch time during their break at work. It’s a good time to submit around then to capture people’s attention. It can make the different of whether your story goes popular or not.

If you’re up at 3:00 a.m. and you see a hot story pop up on your RSS reader from CNN then it’s probably not wise to save that until lunch-time the next day to submit because then you run the risk of someone else submitting it first. So be wise and use common sense.

Summary

Hopefully learning from my mistakes will help you avoid them in the future. I like to teach people the correct way of doing things based on my experience and hopefully you can take what you’ve learned and do the same.
