Are your website pages being indexed by Google and Yahoo?

We have already discussed why strong internal link structures are so essential to your SEO strategy for the company website, and we looked at how to better promote strong internal linking.  Adding a sitelink map to your text link navigation menu was mentioned as one major way to ensure better internal links, and we also talked about how these maps should comply with both Google and Yahoo.  It would be a worthwhile exercise to login into both these search engines and confirm that they are both indexing each of your site pages.  Making sure that those pages are engine-indexed does not guarantee higher engine keyword rankings but it certainly does not hurt.  At the very least, you will obtain relevant and valuable data on how well those internal links are functioning as well as which external website pages are actually linked to your internal pages.

Webmasters and SEO guys have not always been able to go to Google and Yahoo and find out if site pages are engine-indexed.  These two engines use to steadfastly keep secret which external pages are linked to your internal ones.  The SEO world has changed, however, and now Google and Yahoo recognize the importance of helping Webmasters and SEOs find out which pages are linked.  So now they offer up the tools to help you.

After designing your site and engine optimizing it, and making sure that you have created an engine-friendly sitemap, you should immediately set up accounts in Google Webmasters Console and Yahoo Site Explorer.  With your sitemap established, you can employ tools from the two search engines to find out if your pages are indexed.

Google Webmasters Console (www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/)

After setting up an account in Console, you can actually add one site or several sites and have multiple ones all registered on a single interface.  There are several tools empowering you to obtain valuable information on your site pages:

ü      Diagnostics Tab: find out in detail if Google spiders are having problems accessing pages (i.e. URLS not found, timed out or restricted by robots.txt, http errors).

ü      Links Tab: click on External Links to view all external links pointing to each of your internal pages.  Click on Internal Links to discover which internal pages are linked to a specific external page.  In both areas you can select Numeric Link to access a list of website pages currently Google-indexed that point to each of your own pages.  Links Tab probably provides you with the most valuable information you will obtain in Console.

ü      Pages Analysis: access a Google Analysis of your site and/or page content

ü      Sitemap Tab: create the sitemap for each of your domains, and feature all pages you want crawled.

ü      Statistics Tab: learn about how Google PageRank is distributed on your site, and which page ranks the highest each month.

Yahoo Site Explorer (www.siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com)

After setting up an account in Explorer, you can also add one site or several sites but you have to authenticate each of your unique domain names.  Tools allowing you to collect details on your pages include:

ü      Explore: located on the administrative interface, this tool lets you view all site pages which are engine-indexed.

ü      Inlinks: allows you to see how many pages are linked to the page you are “exploring”.  By selecting Except From This Domain on the Show Inlinks dropdown menu you can view just the external links pointing to your site.

You are advised to visit both Console and Explorer frequently to find out which pages were recently indexed and which pages have external links pointed to them.  The great news for both Webmasters and SEO people is that Google and Yahoo are finally allowing them to obtain detailed and valuable information on their website links.  If you are a Webmaster or SEO person, you would do well to take advantage of such support, as it can only help you formulate a more comprehensive and effective SEO campaign!

Google Friendly Techniques for Getting your New Site Crawled and Indexed

You know how Google can deliver free website traffic. More than the other search engines like MSN or Yahoo! combined.

However, you may have heard the rumor that Google puts new websites into what people call the “sandbox.” Its supposed to be like a “waiting list” where new websites aren’t included in their search results until a “certain amount of time” has elapsed. How or why this rumor got started isn’t clear.

Many Internet Marketing “experts” have capitalized on this rumor. They say their software can get your new website crawled and indexed by Google and avoid the “sandbox.”

Many of us are impatient and want to get fast results, so we easily fall for the hype in the sales letters that promote these questionable products.

Unfortunately, some of these products can give you only short term or mediocre results.

Examples of these questionable approaches include building hundreds or thousands of blogs and posting links to your new websites on each. In one case, Blogspot or Blogger blogs, own by Google, will disable all of your Adsense ads if you create hundreds or thousands of fake blogger accounts just to earn income from Adsense.

Another tactic is to use software that automatically posts your link into the comment sections of hundreds or thousands of other people’s blogs. Owners of these blogs consider this spam and can report your website to your web hosting company who may decide to disable your account.

Why take the risk with such a high penalty to pay for questionable results when there are legitimate ways to get your site crawled and indexed by Google?

Two legitimate methods can achieve immediate results without getting you into trouble with bloggers or Google.

Getting your site listed in directories is the easiest way for Google to discover your new website and get your web pages crawled and indexed. There are hundreds of directories, which organize websites under different categories. Many of these directories have good Page Rank and are easy to get into if your site meets their submission criteria.

Submitting articles with your link in a resource box to article directories will also help get Google to discover your new website and get it crawled and indexed. There are hundreds of these article directories which also have good Page Rank and will accept your articles if your article is useful and well written.

If you built your site so it is easily crawled and indexed by the search engines, and you have relevant and unique content which is valuable or useful to your visitors, then your new site should not have any problems.

People who use these two legitimate methods aren’t surprised to see Google crawl and index their new website within 24 hours. Only a few days later, their sites are already getting traffic from the search engines.

Once you realize that these legitimate practices for getting crawled and indexed by Google are available and that they can give you immediate results, you don’t have to fall for the shady and questionable tactics that some Internet marketing “experts” are promoting to get you to buy their software.

How to Get Your Website Indexed by Google Quick:

In my searches for a better index by Google i have found some cool tricks to get my website fast indexed. In a matter of hours I could see significant changes in the number of pages being indexed by Google. The secret is Social Bookmarking sites.

Now what is a social Bookmarking site?

Social bookmarking sites are sites where you store your bookmarks ( or Favorites)and share them with other people. Now your wondering so what? Well… the great thing about these chind of sites is that they get indexed real fast by search engines like Google and because they provide backlinks back to your site Google checks them out as well providing better and fast indexing. But be shore you chose a high ranking social bookmarking website to get the best results. Also this is a great way to get traffic to your webpage, but well talk about that another time so stay tuned . My personal favourite Social Bookmarking websites are Stumbleupon, digg and del.icio.

STUMBLEUPON is a great site and I have had some great success with it. They have a tool bar you can install for your web browser and makes submitting your favorite sites as easy as clicking a button.

DEL.ICIO is the same but it’s a lower ranking website but offers the toolbar button as well.

DIGG is the best of all (leaving the best for last ). It’s the highest ranking social bookmarking website out there and you get great results with it, but the down side is they don’t have a tool bar to install, witch is OK but a little more work to submit your links.

All in all Social Bookmarking Sites are great for raising pagerank getting your site indexed better and bringing traffic to your webpage.

Google webmaster tools:

This is a great service provided by Google to help index your site and see how to improve your site ranking. This tool is for everyone how feels they can’t do anything to better index their site or just wants to see what Google bot is doing.

Google Webmaster Tools has some great features like what Google bot sees, adding sitemaps and other great stuff.

All in all it’s a great service provided by Google and could work wonders for your website, blog, forum or whatever.

Get your new website indexed in Google fast easy and free

Rome wasn’t built in a day.  Establishing your MyWorldPlus business or other online business will also take a while.  In fact, growing an online business can take months just to establish an online presence.  Getting your website indexed in Google or Yahoo can take months.  In fact, there is no guarantee they will ever index your site.  One thing is for sure, if you don’t get your site indexed, you are at the mercy of someone typing in your website address right after they read it off of your business card.

The best way I have found to get your website indexed is to open a Blogger account and get to blogging.  It is free, easy and painless.  This is Google’s own blog and you should see your website get indexed by Google before any of the others.  If you are not a big fan of creating your own content, borrow some related content from an article directory.  Just make sure that you post the proper credit to the author and follow the article site’s guidelines.  Before your borrowed content begins on your post, write a paragraph or two of related content and include the hyper link to your website.  Visit my blog for an example of what I am talking about.

Next, go to Technorati dot com and find the ping the page.  Enter the url to your new blog and ping your site.  Technorati is a content monster and webmasters from all around go there to find content.  If you will make a blog post every day, include your hyper link and ping your site, it will not be long at all before you find your website in the Google search results.  I have seen brand new sites show up in the search results in as little as two days with this method.  It may take a week or maybe a little more but it has always worked for me.  If you would like to know more marketing tips and ideas, visit my homepage at http://www.myworldrocks.biz

2 Main Ways to Get your Website Indexed By Google Within 48 Hours

When I was a newbie, I submitted to many search engines to let my new website indexed by Google and other search engines. But it took a long time just to see my new website to be placed into their index (about 6 weeks or even more). But now I know how to getting listed in Google in under 48 hours. I have proved it. So, what we can do then?My suggestion is: Never use the Google Submission Form at the following URL http://www.google.com/addurl.html !You should NEVER USE this form or any other of the top search engine’s submission forms (Yahoo, MSN, Altavista, etc). There are 2 main ways to get your website indexed by Google within 48 hours:1. All you will need to do is write one article based on the topic of your website! Once we have done this, we will visit many of the popular article directories on the web, and we will simply submit our article to those directories. Once they have added our article and link to their site, the search engines will visit their website, and then follow all the links on their site. One of those links will be a link to our site, then BOOM ! Our website is indexed by Google and other search engines. Try to submit your article to other article directories to get more links. The more links you get, the quicker you will get indexed. Here are some of the most popular article directories:http://www.articlesbase.comhttp://www.articlecity.comhttp://www.articlecube.comhttp://www.goarticles.comhttp://www.ezinearticles.comhttp://www.magportal.com, etc. You can add the list by typing “article directories” in Google search.2. Try to get high Pagerank website to link to your website! If you can manage to get 1 PR6 website to link to your website, you should be indexed by Google in under 3 days. If you can get 1 PR7 website to link to you, in most cases you will be in Google’s index in under 24 hours ! To persuade someone to add your link to their website, you must give them a good reason to do this. Try to contact sites that are highly related to yours and always think of a way that you can offer them something their visitors would benefit from if they add your link.Another way is you can purchase links from high Pagerank websites. Here they are:http://www.linkadage.comhttp://www.text-link-ads.comhttp://www.textlinkbrokers.com You can purchase their links but for only 1 month, not more. For example you purchase 1 PR7 link for 1 month. The next month you don’t need to renew anymore because you are already in Google’s index! By paying link of 1 PR7 website, you can be indexed by Google within 24 hours, with no work on your part. All the best,MES-SEOmaster.com

How To Quickly Get Your Website Indexed By Google

To be successful on the web you must have visitors to your site. They must be able to find you or your efforts will have been in vain. How do they do this? The best way is to have your site indexed by the major search engines (Google, MSN, and Yahoo). Once a searcher types in a keyword that your site is indexed for, the page should come up in the search, and hopefully on the first page. Having your site indexed by Google should be your first priority. The problem is that it can take weeks or months for Google to index your pages. In the mean time, the web-world is passing you by. So is there anything you can do to speed up the process? Yes there is. Follow these three steps and watch the Google-bots trip over themselves to index your site.
The first thing to do is start a blog about your new site. Starting a blog is both fun and easy. There are many sites that allow you to start a blog for free. Two of the most well known sites are http://Wordpress.com and http://Blogger.com. Both are easy to set up and easy to use. Once you have your blog set up, begin writing. You can write posts about your new site, your products, or the service you are offering. It doesn’t really matter. Just be sure to use specific keywords related to your site and also post links to your site on your blog. Next, read other blogs and leave comments. List their sites on your blogroll (links from your site to other blogs). Your hope is that they will blogroll your site also. Post at least one article per day.
The second thing to do is start a free Squidoo lens at http://Squidoo.com. A Squidoo lens is a website created on Squidoo that deals with a specific subject. It can be anything under the sun, just make it specific and be sure to add a link to your website. Now, join some Squidoo Groups. Groups are lists of Squidoo lenses that have something in common. There are hundreds to choose from. Join as many groups as you can and don’t be surprised if you are not accepted to a few you apply to. The lens masters have authority over their groups and some can be really picky.
Thirdly, create a Google sitemap using the free sitemap creator from https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/docs/en/sitemap-generator.html A site map is simply a list of the pages on your site set up in a hierarchy much like an index in a book. It tells Google what pages you have on your site and which pages are most likely to change. This allows Google to index your site quicker and more accurately.
This is also free and simple to do if you follow the directions very carefully.
Follow these three steps and you will be amazed at how quickly your pages begin to show up in the Google search results. Be aware that your ranking will be very low for your keywords in the beginning. Moving up the search engine ranks takes time and perseverance. Be sure to add content to your new site daily, post to your blog daily, and add to your Squidoo lens at least weekly for the best results.

How To Get All Of Your Web Pages Indexed In The Major Search Engines

A website is more than just a home page. In fact, it is useful to think of a website as a cluster of mini websites, with each of the inner pages being a full-fledged website. Depending on the content of these inner pages, visitors will enter your site through these “side doors” on the strength of search engine queries that match the content of these interior pages.
This is great news for you, especially if you have a lot of pages with interesting content. However, if these inner pages are not indexed in the search engines, then you will not gain the advantages of all this “extra” traffic. Here are some steps to take to make sure that all of your pages are “spidered” and included in the major search engines.
1. First, make a check to determine your present indexing position
Normally when a search engine robot finds your main page, it will then follow links to your inner pages, and continue following links until all of your pages have been indexed. If your site is well constructed, and search-engine friendly then all of your pages may already be indexed. You can find out how you are doing by going to Google, Yahoo or MSN and making the following search query: site:www.yoursite.com . The results of this query will show you how many of your pages are already included and which pages they are.
2. Improve the navigation system of your site to make your links search engine friendly
If you do a check and find that only your main page or only a few of your pages are indexed and the rest are not, then it is important to look at your link and navigation structure and to make changes that will enable search engine robots to find and follow all of your links.
Links to inner pages that are contained in the java script of drop-down menus or as “hot spots” on graphics are more difficult for spiders to recognize and follow. If your site uses this kind of navigation structure, then it may be helpful to add an additional text link navigation system at the bottom of the pages. This will not only help the search engine robots, but will also give your visitors another handy way to go on to the other pages of your website.
3. Build an html site map with text links to all of your pages
A site map is something like a table of contents. Construct a web page using your usual graphical and navigation, so that it matches the rest of your website. In the main content section of that page, make a text link to each of your pages, using the title tag of those pages as the clickable link text, and putting the description tag of the page as text below the link. Putting the descriptive text under the link does not affect the work of the search engine robots but it will help your visitors to choose which page to click on.
Some online website builder and website construction software (such as Xsitepro) contain built in site-map generators. If you have a very large site with many pages then you can find free online site-map generators or download software for this purpose.
4. Participate in the Google Sitemaps Program
Last year Google set up the sitemaps program to help webmasters make it easier for their site’s pages to be found by the Google spider. To participate, you have to construct an XML file with information about each of your site’s pages and upload this to the main directory of your website. XML files are the same kinds of files used in RSS syndication, but in this case the XML file is meant only to provide information for the Google robot.
If you don’t know how to make an XML file or you have a very large website with hundreds of pages it is best to use an XML sitemap generator. A free, online Google Sitemaps generator can be found at http://www.auditmypc.com/free-sitemap-generator.asp
Once you have made your XML sitemap and have uploaded it to your server, go to www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps and set up a sitemaps account with Google. When you log into your account you will see a tab at the top of the page that says Add. Click it and then check the box, add “General Web Sitemap”. You will be asked to put the url of your sitemap. Normally the url of your sitemap will be http://www.yoursite.com/sitemap.xml
The Google sitemaps program is particularly important if you have a large, data base driven site or ecommerce website with many pages that you want to be available in Google searches.
If you want to increase traffic to your site, check and see how many of your pages have actually been included in the various search engines, and then take steps to make sure that all of them are included in future search engine updates. Your efforts to improve the search engine friendliness of your site will be well rewarded.

How To Get Your Business Indexed By Google Cheaply And Quickly

Not so long ago there was a booming cottage industry that catered to novice internet marketers who were in a bat-outta-hell rush to get their websites indexed by Google.

The purveyors of those services that catered to the burgeoning get-indexed-quickly-by-Google crowd usually directed internet marketing newbies to buy expensive one-way links for the duration of one month from high page rank websites or more specifically, high PR web pages.

Such links commonly cost as much as $800/month (not an expense for the faint of heart, as you can see). But why would someone shell out that kind of money for one measly link?

MYTH 1: Being Indexed By Google Means Lots of Web Traffic

A lot of new marketers think that once they\’ve got their site indexed by Google, they can sit back, relax, kick off their shoes and contentedly watch the show of internet traffic snaking its way to their website. If you happen to have been (or still are) a student of this school of thought take consolation in the fact that you were (are) not alone, not by a long shot!

How come?

Because seo practioners of the day certainly weren\’t about to go out of their way to disavow such a misconception; after all it was very much in their interest to perpetuate the myth. How else would they convince you to fork over a princely sum for a mere one-month link? Anyway here\’s how the technique worked:

When you bought a one-way link on a webpage with a page rank value of 7 and above you were guaranteed of getting your website crawled by the googlebot within 24 hrs at the outmost which by proxy ensured that your site was indexed within 24 hrs. If your link was found on a web page with PR8 and above, your site would be indexed by Google within hours thanks to that high page rank link!

MYTH 2: Being Indexed By Google Means A Turbo-Charged Dash Up The SERPs

The 2nd selling point for acquiring an expensive one-month one-way link was the premise that your website would accelerate up the SERPs once it was indexed by Google. (SERPs stands for search engine rank pages which is just a fancy way of referring to the search engine page that lists relevant websites in response to your query). Obviously the higher up the SERPs your website gets, the greater the traffic flow!

But like any over-inflated bubble this one too had to explode, and so it did in time. With increased awareness and knowledge came new understanding of budget techniques that worked just as effectively. Besides Google effectively nullified the system by introducing the Link-Aging Filter which is an algorithm tweak that negates any influence that any new link may pass to your website or blog until said link has been in place for a certain amount of time. The interval of probation varies from link to link and appears to be based upon the competitiveness of the keyword incorporated in your back-link. The Link-Aging Filter hence effectively nullifies the technique of acquiring short-term links in order to get your website indexed rapidly by Google or accelerate your website up the search engines.

Methods To Get Your Website Googled Quick And Cheap!

1. Submit an original article to a high page rank article directory; don\’t forget to include a back-link pointing to your website with the anchor text of your choice! This technique works as follows: article directories are content rich sites (a quality Google loves) and assuming that the directory has a high page rank, you can bet that the googlebot (google crawler, google spider, it all means the same thing) will crawl such a site several times a day. When the googlebot comes across your article it will continue its eternal crawl across your back-link to your site and Hey Presto You Just Got Googled! (Well at least your site did.)

2. The second way to get your website googled fast and cheap, is by getting a back-link pointing to your site on one of the popular tagging websites which includes the likes of: 104inc.com, Technorati.com, del.icio.us to name but a few. The trick here is not to get lost in the sea of over-popular keywords; in other words, since you\’re aiming to attract the googlebot not eyeballs (human internet traffic), tag your website with a little-used-little-known keyword! Once again these sites are crawled multiple times a day and tend to have a page rank value of 8 and above!
