It is the best website graphic design software ever, we make it simple!

Life is wonderful, no life is better than that; it is amazing!  After spending money hand over fist getting business started, things have finally settled down.  Now that business has stabilized and the initial impact of doing business has cleared, there was time to find the things needed to market our business even better. We needed a better website!  Deciding on whether or not to use someone to do the website graphic design was a no brainier.  Who can afford to pay the prices that graphic designers want these days?  Not taking away from their talent, but money is tight and it has to be spent as wisely as possible.

Which is why, after what feels like months of searching, we nearly gave in, however, much to our delight, we discovered Laughingbird software and our lives brightened up.  Immediately turned on to the idea of being able to design our website at such a low price, out came the charge card and soon the downloading began.  Besides being an awesome tool, the pricing seems too good to be true.  But it isn’t.  No hidden or secret charges to be found, the download was fast, and the software user friendly.

Will we ever see netbooks or tablets not equipped with wifi and broadband abilities

Will we ever see netbooks or tablets not equipped with wifi and broadband abilities

As the situation stands today, the answer to this question has got to be no. Increasingly, manufacturers are basing the functions of notebooks or tablets on connectivity with WiFi or mobile broadband networks and the lack of this connectivity would destroy most of the utility of the device.

Let us get a clear understanding of what these devices really do. Net books resemble a mini laptop, though they are not able to do everything that a laptop batttery does. They are not as powerful and have a restriction on applications so their multitasking capability is not nearly as good. However, net books have their own strengths in the following areas:
-outstanding battery life in comparison to a Asus a32-f5 Battery Many manufacturers claim battery life of seven to 10 hours, which makes these devices an outstanding portable computer. This is why they are known as UMPCs (Ultra Mobile Personal Computer).
-connectivity Manufacturers are now in the process of beefing up the connectivity to make net books the ideal companion to people who are constantly on the move. WiFi connectivity has been the de facto standard but this is not enough because of the limited WiFi coverage that is available. These devices now come with a slot that accepts 3G SIM Cards so that you can subscribe to a mobile broadband service as well. The devices also are equipped to give you the best connection the Internet and will accordingly choose WiFi or 3G depending on the circumstances.

The tablet PC has superior portability but limited battery life and is a little bit of a device in search of a niche. One of these could possibly be e-book readers like the Kindle and this is certainly one slot at which the I-Pad is aimed. Judging from various policy statements, better Broadband Deals are in the offing. UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown has described high-speed broadband as “the electricity of the Internet age” and has said that the digital future for Britain must be available to every single resident in the country.

These devices now come with a slot that accepts 3G SIM Cards so that you can subscribe to a mobile broadband service as well. Amadeus Consulting Discusses: What Ever Happened to Windows Phone 7?

Amadeus Consulting Discusses: What Ever Happened to Windows Phone 7?

Earlier this year, Microsoft® announced Windows® Phone 7 (initially called Windows Phone 7 Series), which will become its next offering in the mobile operating system market. In conjunction with the announcement, Amadeus Consulting also announced that we are offering preliminary development of custom applications for Windows Phone 7 so that companies can have applications ready for the launch of the first Windows Phone 7 phones, set to debut later this year.

Since that initial announcement we have seen a lot of interest in custom development for Windows Phone 7 apps, and have had many companies interested in building on the hype that will accompany the initial launch of the first Windows Phone devices.

To help companies interested in a mobile application for future Windows Phone 7 devices, but who are unsure where to start, we have compiled some of the major features of Windows Phone 7, and why they matter. Specifically, this article covers:

What makes Windows Phone 7 unique as an operating system
Why Windows Phone 7 appeals to business users
Silverlight, XNA and other interactive technologies in Windows Phone 7
What to expect from the hardware (the actual phones)
Some insights into the Windows Phone 7 App market
Finding a developer to make the app for you

Also, for those interested in having an application ready on launch day of some of the most anticipated phones yet, there is still time to order a fully custom Windows Phone 7 app for your corporation, business, startup or entrepreneurial venture. Contact us today and let’s get things started before time runs out.

Moving Past Windows Mobile

Windows Phone 7 picks up where Windows Mobile 6.5 left off, but it makes a huge leap forward making the platform very competitive with Apple’s® iOS 4 (Formerly iPhone® OS), and Google’s™ Android™ OS, in terms of features and capability.

In fact, even describing Windows Phone 7 as a “huge leap forward” from Windows Mobile is an understatement. Microsoft has taken a ground-up approach to redesigning its mobile operating system and has improved every aspect of the operating system in a remarkably positive way. They clearly have put a lot of thought, effort and testing into designing a product that is easy and intuitive to use, without skimping on power and capability.

The user interface on Windows Phone 7 is also distinct from Apple’s iOS 4 and Google Android™, which gets rid of the traditional icon view and replaces it with larger blocks and “hubs” that many users say they prefer because of its simplicity and ease of navigation.

Before we jump into some of the specific details, some quick benefits of Windows Phone 7 include:

Complete Microsoft Office® Integration, including Outlook®, Excel®, Word®, Powerpoint®, Calendar, and more
Massive Industry Support, including hardware commitments from Dell, Garmin-Asus, HTC, HP, LG, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, and Toshiba, and commitments from carriers such as AT&T, Deutsche Telekom AG, Orange, SFR, Sprint, Telecom Italia, Telefónica, Telstra, T-Mobile USA, Verizon Wireless and Vodafone
Support for Silverlight® and XNA® for high quality game development, as well as quick portability of applications across platforms.
Support for 3rd party advertisers and ad integration into applications, including ads in Silverlight®
Emphasis on business productivity, gaming, and community building. A perfect environment for app developers

Unprecedented Business Integration

Windows Phone 7 focuses on is business users. According to Microsoft, 90% of the target customers for Windows Phone use their Smartphone for business purposes, and 61% use their phones equally or slightly more for business than personal use.

As a result, Windows Phone 7 combines familiar tools such as PowerPoint®, OneNote®, Word®, Excel® and SharePoint® into a single integrated experience via the Office® hub. It also integrates rich email, calendar, and contacts, as well as allows businesses to utilize existing IT investments like Exchange and Exchange ActiveSync® to support Windows Phone access to enterprise assets such as corporate email.

In addition to deep integration of Microsoft Office, Windows Phone 7 provides advanced security options, including support for secure data transmission through 128 or 256 bit SSL encryption.

Gaming and Interactivity

Although it appears that the phones will be marketed primarily towards business customers, game developers for Windows Phone 7 will also have a huge advantage with the platforms support of XNA, which is the development system used for gaming on the Zune HD® and Xbox 360®.

Another big feature of the Windows Phone 7 is its full compatibility with Silverlight. Silverlight provides interactive capabilities similar to Adobe® Flash®, and can be run across a multitude of devices and platforms. Microsoft boasts that Silverlight developers will have an incredibly easy time porting their existing applications to the new platform, although there will be some tweaking necessary to comply with the look and feel of the phone UI.

Microsoft has also expressed its intention to provide Silverlight support on the Xbox 360 and Zune HD, which means that developers will eventually be able to bring the same app to the Web, PC, Personal Music Player (PMP), Console and phone with relatively little pain.

Hardware Capabilities

Microsoft has also been flexing its muscle to create minimum standards for the new Windows Phone 7 Phones, which are being manufactured independently. These standards are intended to ensure that applications are as compatible as possible across platforms, rather than requiring different versions of applications for each platform, or limiting features on applications in order to increase compatibility on different devices. These minimum standards include:

At first, only large 800 x 480 (WVGA) touchscreens will be permitted, which means that applications should have little trouble with being visually compatible across different phones – a problem with Android phones which often have different sized displays which creates UI problems.
Five specific hardware buttons are required: Start, back, search (which integrates with Bing services where appropriate), camera button, and power. Some devices might have more, but these are the baseline.
Capacitive multitouch with support for a minimum of four contact points, though no more than two are used by any of the platform’s six native gestures (developers are welcome to use as many as they like).
A Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU with DirectX 9 graphics support. Microsoft says the platform is flexible enough to expand to other chips in the future, but right now it’s all Qualcomm.
256MB of RAM or more
8GB of internal Flash storage or more
WiFi
AGPS
Accelerometer
FM radio!
5 megapixel camera or better with a flash

Microsoft has not yet announced a specific release date for Windows Phone 7 phones, however it is rumored that LG may have phones ready as early as September, with other developers ready by October or November of this year. In addition to LG, many other developers have been confirmed to be working on Windows phones, including Dell, Garmin-Asus, HTC, HP, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, and Toshiba. Motorola, which has developed many other mobile and portable devices for Windows Mobile, and Windows Embedded systems, has not yet confirmed that it is developing Windows Phone 7 devices, even though many rumors and reports indicate otherwise.

App Development

As both a positive and negative, development for Windows Phone 7 is substantially different than development was for Windows Mobile.

Windows Phone 7 uses technologies, such as XNA and Silverlight, which are less familiar to most do-it-yourself app developers. This means that there will likely be a smaller number of applications for Windows Phone 7, than for Android™ and iPhone®, but the applications that are available will tend to be much higher quality, since they will be done primarily by experienced developers.

App development also benefits from unique cross-platform integration. This means that with very little additional investment, a mobile application could be transformed into a web app, a program on a PC, an app on the Zune HD (essentially the equivalent of the iPod Touch), and eventually an app on the Xbox 360.

This means that with almost the same investment, an app can potentially return 5x the value as an app on other platforms, which are much more device-limited. Of course, this will be substantially affected by the actual adoption rate of Windows Phone 7 phones, but it nevertheless benefits from the massive player base of Xbox users, being compatible with PCs and the fact that it is usable as a rich Internet application.

As a note on the overall mobile market, Windows Mobile still maintains 19% of the smart phone user base, as of Q1 2010, according to The Nielsen Company. This compares to Android’s 9% share, and Apple iPhone’s 28% share. Although at the time, RIM Blackberry still held the largest share with 35% of the total smart phone market. It will be interesting to see how these numbers change by next year, once the iPhone, Android and Windows Phone 7 operating systems are all in full competition together, added in with new editions of Blackberry and whatever HP and Palm end up throwing into the pile as well.

In either case, this is a unique time for marketers and developers to build and launch applications in conjunction with the initial unveiling of one of the biggest operating systems in the mobile smart phone market.

Also of note is that every major US carrier has made commitments to carry Windows Phone 7 phones. This is a major boon to app developers, since the potential user base for the apps will not be limited by the “population” of an individual carrier. This is different from the iPhone, for example, which is limited to only AT&T’s subscribers.

Rather than focusing on ever larger machines running lower-power processors

Rather than focusing on ever larger machines running lower-power processors

Finally, but most importantly, have a play with any notebook you’re considering and thoroughly check its build quality. Does its case feel weak and plastic rather than solid? Does the screen flex when opened and shut? Unlike their desktop PC siblings, notebook PCs can get a lot more knocked about so a solid build will greatly extend their life expectancy.

A valuable feature of the Xserve is that it comes preinstalled with the latest Mac OS X Server 10.5 Leopard with an unlimited user licence. Apple has made good on its promises with this OS as installation is a very pleasant affair. The  process starts with a server setup screen where you can choose from standard, workgroup and advanced configurations.

Rather than focusing on ever larger machines running lower-power processors, would the effort be better spent on creating more cleverly engineered sub-Netbooks with even smaller screens? If consumers are already somewhat confused about the performance level of Netbooks vs. Core 2 Duo laptops, making Netbooks larger doesn’t seem to be the way to make the understanding any clearer. Then again, a bigger screen for the affordable Netbook category is hard to complain about…or is it?

Having said that, I took the HP (NASDAQ: HPQ) Mini 2140 on the road to meetings several times and it held its own. It was quite comfortable to carry and PP2171M battery use. I didn’t even need a case or bag. The other thing is that it boots up fast using the Basic version of Vista running a full version of Office. It also comes with SUSE Linux or Windows XP.

Again, Dell has not made any official announcement of a specific product. But the frequency or rumors about such a device is increasing. The latest appraisal came Tuesday from Bernstein Research analyst Toni Sacconaghi Jr., who said that while there’s potential for Dell to make some decent profits from a good handset–which could arrive “in the next six months”–he’s not convinced Dell’s execution will be all that graceful.

Like other netbooks, of course, the 2133 and Mini 1000 have been purchased and used by bunches of businesspeople as well as kids and consumers — the battery DD880A idea of an easy-to-afford, easy-to-carry PC companion for checking e-mail, browsing the Web, and doing a little touch-up work on a report or presentation created on a desktop is what’s made the category a smash.

Welcome to the April 2009 Most Popular Tablet PCs list. This report is made using the total page-views each product page receives in one month; so each time someone clicks one of the product links, they are submitting a vote in our monthly rankings. This list doesn’t always show which models are the best selling, but instead the models that readers want to research the most.

The battery hp DD880A, named for its 35 keys, performed all the functions of the slide rule to 10-digit precision and could determine the decimal point or power-of-10 exponent through a full 200-decade range. This combination of features ultimately made the slide rule, which had been used by generations of engineers and scientists, obsolete.

In the wake of our winter roundup of retail laptops, we noticed that while there are plenty of good, inexpensive laptops available. For frequent travelers, there are still few options that cost less than ,000 (Netbooks excluded).

Kindle : The Best Book ever

Kindle: The Best Book ever

Kindle is like the magic lamp. It really is. Few years ago if somebody would tell me that I have to have only one book and I can read almost anything with the same book. I would not believe it.

Also the book will be light, lighted and easy to carry. Kindle is really like a dream come true.

Advanced Design

Sleek & Light

At 10.2 ounces, Kindle is lighter than a typical paperback and as thin as most magazines. Barely a third of an inch in profile, you’ll find Kindle fits perfectly in your hands.

Simple to Use, No Computer Required

Unlike most electronic devices, we wanted to keep Kindle simple. Kindle is wireless and ready to use right out of the box–no setup, no cables, no software to install, no computer required.

Ergonomic Design

Kindle is easy to hold and read. We designed it with long-form reading in mind. When reading for long periods of time, people naturally shift positions and often like to read with one hand. Kindle’s page-turning buttons are located on both sides, allowing you to read and turn pages comfortably with one hand from any position.

Precise 5-Way Controller

Kindle has an easy-to-use 5-way controller, enabling precise on-screen navigation for selecting text to highlight or looking up words.

Long Battery Life

Long Battery Life—Read for Days Without Recharging

With Kindle’s long battery life, you can read on a single charge for up to 4 days with wireless on. Turn wireless off and read for up to 2 weeks. Battery life will vary based on wireless usage, such as shopping the Kindle Store and downloading content. In low-coverage areas or in EDGE/GPRS-only coverage, wireless usage will consume battery power more quickly.

Charge Via USB

Kindle ships with a U.S. power adapter and a micro-USB cable for charging your Kindle from a computer USB port. The U.S. power adapter supports voltages 100V-240V.

Wireless Access With Whispernet

Get Books in as Little as 60 Seconds

Whispernet utilizes Amazon’s optimized technology plus a high-speed data network to enable you to wirelessly search, discover, and download content on the go. Your books and periodicals are delivered via Whispernet in less than 60 seconds. And unlike Wi-Fi, you never have to hunt for a hotspot. Wireless download times can vary based on 3G or EDGE/GPRS coverage, signal strength, and file size.

No Monthly Wireless Bills

No monthly wireless bills or commitments. Amazon pays for Kindle’s wireless connectivity so you won’t see a monthly wireless bill. There is no wireless setup–you are ready to shop, purchase, and read right out of the box.

Uses GSM technology—the most popular mobile wireless standard—with wireless coverage in over 100 countries.

Travel the Globe with Kindle

Travel the globe and still get books in under 60 seconds. Download books wirelessly in over 100 countries around the world, such as Australia, Hong Kong, Germany, Japan, Norway, Spain, South Africa, the United Kingdom (UK), and many others. Stay in touch with news from home by having your newspaper and magazine subscriptions delivered wirelessly while you travel.

For U.S. customers traveling abroad, a .99 fee currently applies when downloading books or single issues of periodicals wirelessly from your Archived Items or the Kindle store while traveling internationally. For details on periodicals and personal documents,

Carry Your Library in 10.2 Ounces

Holds Over 1,500 Books

The ultimate travel companion, Kindle weighs 10.2 ounces and holds up to 1,500 books. No longer pick and choose which books fit in your carry-on. You can always have your entire Kindle library with you.

Automatic Library Backup: Re-Download Your Books Wirelessly

Books you purchase from the Kindle Store are backed up online in your Kindle book library at Amazon.com. You can wirelessly re-download books available in your library. This allows you to make room for new titles on your Kindle. We even back up your last page read and annotations.

Enhanced Reading

Lose Yourself in Your Reading

The most elegant feature of a physical book is that it disappears while you’re reading. Immersed in the author’s world and ideas, you don’t notice a book’s glue, the stitching, or ink. Our top design objective was to make Kindle disappear—just like a physical book—so you can get lost in your reading, not the technology.

Paper-Like Screen

Utilizing the latest in electronic-ink display technology, Kindle provides a crisp black-and-white 6″ screen with the same appearance and readability of printed paper. Sharp and natural with no glare or backlight, reading on Kindle is nothing like reading from a computer screen. Those who see it for the first time always do a double-take. The screen works using ink, just like books and newspapers, but displays the ink particles electronically. And unlike a laptop or smart phone, Kindle never gets warm so you can comfortably read as long as you like.

Read what some of our customers have to say about Kindle’s screen:

“My first impression of Kindle’s screen was: ‘That’s a screen?! It doesn’t look like a screen.’ When I got my own, I had the same impression again. It looks like a book page, only perfect. No grain or pulp.” —Jeremy

“I love how the screen really looks like a page, because I do work at a computer all day, and the last thing I want to look at is another screen.”
Amy P.

“I found the contrast to be soothing and I was able to read in direct sunlight with no glare.” —M. H.

“I use my Kindle for reading in bed and sitting at my desk. I also did a test read while sitting in full sun and the screen is even more readable.”
Dallas M.

“Everyone who has seen my Kindle is amazed at the clarity of the screen, ease of use, and plethora of features.”—R.L.S.

Read in Sunlight with No Glare

Kindle’s screen reflects light like ordinary paper and uses no backlighting, eliminating the glare associated with other electronic displays. As a result, Kindle can be read as easily in bright sunlight as in your living room.

Sharp Display of Images and Photos

Kindle’s high-resolution screen boasts 16 shades of gray, so images and photos are sharp and clear.

Adjustable Text Size

Because one size doesn’t fit all, you can increase the text size of your favorite book or periodical with the push of a button. If your eyes tire, simply increase the font size and continue reading comfortably. Kindle has six adjustable font sizes to suit your reading preference. Now every book in your library can be large print.

Read-To-Me Feature

With the experimental Text-to-Speech feature, Kindle can read English newspapers, magazines, blogs, and books out loud to you, unless the book’s rights holder made the feature unavailable. You can switch back and forth between reading and listening, and your spot is automatically saved. Pages automatically turn while the content is being read, so you can listen hands-free. You can choose from both male and female voices which can be sped up or slowed down to suit your preference. In the middle of a great book or article but have to jump in the car? Simply turn on Text-to-Speech and listen on the go.

Newspaper Reading

Using Kindle’s 5-way controller, you can quickly flip between articles, making it faster and easier to browse and read the morning paper. Want to remember the newspaper or magazine article you just read? Clip and save entire articles for later reading with a single click. Newspapers are auto-delivered wirelessly to Kindle before they hit news stands.

Bookmarks and Annotations

By using the QWERTY keyboard, you can add annotations to text, just like you might write in the margins of a book. And because it is digital, you can edit, delete, and export your notes. You can highlight and clip key passages and bookmark pages for future use. You’ll never need to bookmark your last place in the book, because Kindle remembers for you and always opens to the last page you read.

Full Image Zoom

Images and photos display crisply on Kindle and can be zoomed to the full size of the screen.

Personal Document Service Via Whispernet

Kindle makes it easy to take your personal documents with you, eliminating the need to print. Each Kindle has a unique and customizable e-mail address. You can set your unique email address on your Manage Your Kindle page. This allows you and your approved contacts to send Word, PDF documents, and pictures to your Kindle via Whispernet for a small fee. Kindle supports wireless delivery of unprotected Microsoft Word (DOC, DOCX), PDF, HTML, TXT, RTF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, PRC and MOBI files. Some complex PDF and DOCX files might not format correctly on your Kindle.

You can transfer personal documents to your Kindle via USB for free at any time.

Built-In Dictionary with Instant Lookup

Never get caught without a dictionary. Kindle includes The New Oxford American Dictionary with over 250,000 entries and definitions, so you can seamlessly look up the definitions of English words without interrupting your reading. Come across a word you don’t know? Simply move the cursor to it and the definition will automatically display at the bottom of the screen. Never fear a sesquipedalian word again–simply look it up and keep reading.

Wireless Access to Wikipedia

Kindle also includes free built-in access to the world’s most exhaustive and up-to-date encyclopedia, Wikipedia.org. With Kindle in hand, looking up people, places, events, and more has never been easier. It gives whole new meaning to the phrase walking encyclopedia.

Search

Kindle’s keyboard makes it easy to search within a book, across your library, in the Kindle Store, or even the Web. To use the Search feature, simply type in a word or phrase you’re looking for, and Kindle finds every instance in your book or across your Kindle library. Looking for the first reference of a character in your book? Simply type in the name and search. You can extend your search to the Kindle Store to find related titles you may be interested in. Explore even further by searching Wikipedia and the Web. Web access is not currently available for some customers outside the U.S.

Audiobooks

With Kindle, you are able to download and enjoy more than 50,000 audio titles from Audible.com, including bestselling audio books, radio programs, audio newspapers, and magazines. Due to their file size, audiobooks are downloaded to your PC over your existing Internet connection and then transferred to Kindle using the included USB 2.0 cable. Listen via Kindle’s speakers or plug in your headphones for private listening.

Read Kindle Books on your iPhone or PC

With our free Kindle for PC and Kindle for iPhone apps, you can read Kindle books even if you don’t have your Kindle with you. Our Whispersync technology saves and synchronizes your reading location across your Kindle(s), iPhone and PC. Read a few pages on your iPhone or PC and pick up right where you left off when you return to your Kindle. Kindle for iPhone is not yet available for customers outside the U.S.

Experimental Features

The experimental category represents features we are still working on to enhance the Kindle experience even further. Try them out and let us know what you think.

Read-to-Me

With the Text-to-Speech feature, Kindle can read English newspapers, magazines, blogs, and books out loud to you, unless the book’s rights holder made the feature unavailable.

Basic Web Browser

Kindle’s basic Web browser works well to read simple, text-centric Web sites such as Google and Wikipedia. Need to find a movie listing or look up a sports score? Now it’s easier than ever to find the information you’re looking for right from your Kindle. The experimental Web browser is not currently available for some customers outside of the U.S.

PDF Document Conversion

You can email your PDF documents wirelessly to your Kindle, just like other personal documents. Due to PDF’s fixed layout format, some complex PDF files may not format correctly on your Kindle.

Listen to Music & Podcasts

Transfer MP3 files to Kindle to play as background music while you read. You can quickly and easily transfer MP3 files via USB by connecting Kindle to your computer.

Included in the Box

Kindle electronic reader, U.S. power adapter (supports 100V-240V), and USB 2.0 cable (for connection to the Kindle power adapter or to connect to a computer).

Expert Reviews: See What the Experts Have to Say About Kindle “If you think there’s no way you could ever get used to curling up with an electronic reader, you haven’t given the Kindle a chance. Load up a good book and you’ll soon forget you’re reading plastic rather than paper. You’ll also wonder how you ever did without it. The Kindle makes buying, storing, and organizing your favorite books and magazines effortless. You can take your entire library with you wherever you go and switch from reading the latest New Yorker to the latest best-seller without rolling out of bed. In my few days using it, I was won over: The Kindle is the future of publishing.” — Farhad Manjoo, Slate “The best e-reading system on the market. Welcome improvements to aesthetics, more functional industrial design, better graphics and longer battery life. Sleeker than the original: A third of an inch thick and 10 ounces.” — Steven Levy, Wired “Bottom line: The Kindle is easier to use and more versatile, thanks to its wireless coverage.” — Consumer Reports “Overall, this is a great platform for reading a novel or anything where you just want to be able to pick it up and put it back down at a moment’s notice — the wireless delivery of books you order on Amazon’s website is still just about perfect.” — Christopher Null, Yahoo! Tech “It reads very easily without any eyestrain whatsoever; I felt like I was reading a book whereas reading on an iPhone or a computer is just a gimmick. The Kindle is indeed a genuine alternative to a print edition and not just a toy.” — Michael Glitz, Huffington Post “With a slimmer, sleeker design, a crisper display and 25 percent longer battery life, the Kindle 2 is fast becoming a must-have for avid readers who don’t want to schlep a ton of books.” — Star Magazine

The headsets speakers provide a surprisingly rich, full sound and the BlackBerry 9000 even has equalization software for when it is plugged into external speakers or headphones. Biggest Quarter Ever For Motorola Phones

Biggest Quarter Ever For Motorola Phones

Quarter 3 was a big time disappointment for Motorola, and Wall Street junkies are starting to wonder if the MOTORAZR frenzy is over. Motorola had made significant gains in the world’s cell phone market share, but their momentum has been fading significantly. Motorola stock is floating down in the dollar range after reaching a 52-week high of over . The way we see it, it could be do or die time for Motorola.

Mike Hughlett from the Chicago Tribune believes that Motorola may gain some momentum with the newest models that will be released for the Christmas season.

The MOTORAZR has been the hottest phone of 2006, even though it has been out for a few years. Motorola has come in with new colors and features; so many users have owned multiple Razr models. The Razr v3i and v3m have been released with some new features, and users have picked these up at lower prices than the original Razr brought.

Motorola has lowered the price of the Razr significantly. When it was released, Motorola was asking over 0 for the Razr, and you can now pick it up free if you find the right deal. The lowered price of the Razr has added to sales for Motorola, but Motorola has been left without a high-end model in their arsenal.

To fill the high-end void, Motorola has been working on a new model. The MOTOKRZR was released just in time for Christmas, and Motorola is hoping that it will be the one to trigger Motorola momentum again.

Verizon Wireless released the Krzr a few weeks ago, and priced the model at 0 with a two-year contract. Sprint is now adding the model, and there is a GSM version that will likely make it to Cingular and T-Mobile.

Speculation is divided so far, and all eyes are on Motorola for the fourth quarter, 2006. The Krzr will either show the Motorola is bound to take over the worlds biggest market share or lose the Razr led gains. Analysts are disagreeing with each other, and only the numbers will show the truth. So far, the numbers show that the Krzr will have a better first quarter than the Razr. In fact the release of the Krzr should be the biggest opening quarter ever for a new Motorola phone. Of course much of this is due to the pricing of the Krzr, which is significantly less than the opening price of the Razr.

Doubters are saying that the Krzr is just like the Razr, and users will buy the cheaper Razr at the discounted price. Those in favor say that the new model has enough upgrades over the Razr to justify buying. The Krzr does have some very significant upgrades that make it a much better phone than the Razr. This one will be left up to the consumers, who will ultimately decide whether the phone is worth the price or not.

The Krzr is going to sport a 2 mega-pixel camera, much better than the VGA resolution of the original Razr. The Krzr will record up to 25 minutes of video that can be saved in the included memory. The model is also smaller than the Razr, which will draw many to the model.

One thing is for sure; the MOTOKRZR is the phone to have for the Christmas season. Motorola has done well to finish the model before the holidays, and the timely release is definitely not a coincidence. Watch for sales of the Krzr, it should determine Motorola’s momentum for the next year or two.

Can Motorola continue to take over market share? Or is the recent slide a prediction of the future? The next few months will surely show us the truth.
