Motorola Droid X success pushes Motorola to challenge Apple iPad

Motorola Droid X success pushes Motorola to challenge Apple iPad

Motorola Droid X has done a world of good for Motorola, and they are now back on track competing with top mobile companies. Motorola had struggled a bit in the past, but with introduction of their Android based mobiles, they are challenging even the biggies with products like Droid X. Their recent release Motorola Droid X is a great success and they even went on to challenge Apple iPhone 4.

Motorola is now reportedly planning to challenge Apple iPad with their new Android based tablet PC. Yes, Motorola is entering into the tablet PC arena to test their luck! Motorola didn’t announce their plans officially, but the ‘sources’ are pretty sure about the new Motorola tablet PC.

Motorola tablet is around 10 inches in size, and similar to that of Apple iPad in terms of dimensions. Since it’s an Android based tablet, we can expect the regular features of it. Apart from them, Motorola is said to be keen in including television services in its tablet, and Verizon will be marketing it in US.

Motorola will now be competing with the rest of the tablet PC makers, and this Motorola tablet might hit shelves by this holiday season in US.

Want to know all you can about the new Motorola Droid smartphone? Well how about the entire user guide for the much talked about Verizon Motorola Droid.

Apparently the Motorola Droid user guide is now available and the guys over at engadget mobile have a nice gallery showing off everything in said user guide to satisfy your curiosity.

Although they do say there’s no revelations thus far, but if you have some spare time on your hands and looking to purchase the Motorola Droid when it hits then why not check it out.

Is The Changing Education Scene In This 21st Century a Challenge To The Teachers?

Is The Changing Education Scene In This 21st Century a Challenge To The Teachers?

Change is a constant phenomenon and man have always known and experienced it socio-politically, economically and demographically However, the 21st century changes are occurring at a fast speed and is now affecting the way people lead their lives all over the world
If the world has been a global village, if the learner living in the world is adapting to the changes, and if education is taking a new shape, then the teachers are expected to make the necessary changes and be up to date with information. For instance, we have e-mails, e-commerce, e-banking, e-voting, etc and the greatest of them is ICT- Information Communication Technology which has changed businesses for people and have granted people access to do business with other people on-line Education is one of the major tools for strengthening  every nation’s capacity to become a part of the global village, and the facilitator of the teaching and learning activities is the teacher. The major determinant of an educated person is that his or her mind should be refined. An educated person today should be able to stay up to date in a globalize world like ours
Teachers should be professionals of this knowledge so that they can inculcate them into the learners The teacher in the 21st century is expected to make learning a way of life. The teacher should go into research, investigation and should be good with the internet and turn every experience into a learning opportunity. He or she has to be specialized in his or her area of study. The teacher should have learnt the foundational disciplines of education (psychological, philosophical and socio-cultural foundations), Management of Education and Principles Governing effective teaching and Learning
For instance, previously, any graduate could just go and teach but now the person has to be qualified, which means that the person must have a degree in education before he or she can be allowed to teach
Above all, the teacher’s ability is been judged by his or her students’ performance in examinations

Digital Signage Payoff: What’s a Challenge for TV May be a Boon for Digital Signage Networks

Digital Signage Payoff: What’s a Challenge for TV May be a Boon for Digital Signage Networks

I had dinner the other evening with some friends from New England. The couple splits its time between a home in the southern part of New Hampshire during the winter and a scenic farm in northern Vermont during the summer. In the past, I’ve had opportunities to visit both places and travel with them between their homes.

As dinner progressed, the conversation turned to the Old Man of the Mountain, a natural rock formation on the New Hampshire landscape that serves as a symbol adorning state highway signs and license plates. I’d stopped on several occasions at Franconia Notch State Park to view the Old Man from a distance.

In May 2003, erosion, wind and weather finally took their toll on the Old Man, when in an instant the rocks gave way and the landmark slid down the mountain and into history. At dinner, I asked in passing about the event and my friends told me a few things I had never known about the landmark.

The Old Man of the Mountain had existed in a tenuous state for years, my friends said. In an effort to preserve the landmark, the state had wrapped chains and cables around portions of the face to keep it in place. Plastic was strategically placed in an effort to prevent rain from penetrating crevices, freezing, expanding and making the face more unstable. Volunteer quarryman even regularly inspected the landmark and did their best to maintain its integrity. However, despite everyone’s best efforts, the Old Man of the Mountain collapsed in a heap May 3, 2003.

As my friends discussed the Old Man and the efforts to preserve it, I couldn’t help but think about the similarities between the fallen-away landmark and TV, commercials and digital signage.

As a mass medium television is the undisputed champion, but I see signs of erosion, unstable features and steps at preservation that ultimately are likely to prove futile. TV is in a state of transition, and the medium as it’s been known for the past 60 years or so is undergoing radical changes.

Sure there’s the transition from analog to digital that the government has mandated for February 2009, but that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m referring to a transition being forced upon the medium that’s about as welcome as the rain and snow were to the Old Man.

Since it’s inception as a commercial medium, television in this country has been linear. Programs have a set starting time and known finish –for the most part. In between show segments are commercial breaks; and in between shows are more commercials. Networks and stations have relied on this structure to build program lineups, audiences and desired demographics that advertisers wish to reach.

However, with the roll out of digital video recorders over the past few years, viewers –not network programmers- are in charge of when a show gets watched. Worst of all for the marketers and the networks, viewers can use the same recorder to “zap” or zip by commercials. Each time a viewer does so, it’s like another drop of rainwater penetrating a crack in the Old Man’s face, wearing away the underlying soil and rock holding the structure in place.

Add to that the growing availability of video-on-demand from cable and satellite TV operators, TV network Web sites that make popular shows like “Lost” and “Grey’s Anatomy” available on-demand via streaming broadband connection, and the countless shows, movies and events available for download via file sharing, and it’s easy to see the cracks are growing and the edifice is nearing a shift.

To be sure, the networks rolling out the chains, wrapping up their franchise tight to hold the status quo. Shows like “American Idol” garner huge ratings and encourage viewers to buck the VOD trend by asking them to call in and vote for their favorite performers live. But that strategy raises some interesting questions, like how broadly can it be applied, and doesn’t it just feed the desire of viewers for interactive control over the content they view?

Technology and interactivity are only two of the elements eroding the status quo. The other is demographics. Closely tied to technology and interactivity to be sure, the highly sought after younger demographic is fluent in technology. From text messaging to gaming, on-line chats to music downloads, younger audiences are immersed in the stuff. Unfortunately for television networks and their advertisers, this group also appears to be less interested in television than older viewers.

All of these shifts, as gradual as they may be, are good news for digital signage networks. On one level, digital signage gives marketers who may grow uncertain about the stability of the Old Man of Television a refuge for targeted advertising. On another, digital signage bears a close resemblance to television and can easily take advantage of the cache of the medium without falling prey to the elements eroding its stature. On yet another, digital signage displays can be configured to work in hybrid mode, offering the benefits of linear program playback, which can be interrupted with something as simple as a touch of the screen and sent into an interactive, digital kiosk mode. This in particular, positions digital signage to capitalize on the propensity of younger viewers to feel at home with interactive technology, and thus offer marketers direct access to a highly desired demographic.

Will television slide down the media mountain just as the Old Man did in New Hampshire? Perhaps, but I can’t say when with any more reliability than the surveyors 100 years ago who predicted the demise of the Old Man. What I can say is this: The forces buffeting the edifice of television are growing in strength. Whether or not that media landmark can withstand them in the long run, television and its traditional business model are likely to continue changing. As they do, the prospect of digital signage networks to offer marketers an attractive alternative will only grow.

Affiliate Challenge – The Live Charity Experiment: Banner Ad Blueprint Review

Affiliate Challenge – The Live Charity Experiment: Banner Ad Blueprint Review

A few weeks back I issued an online challenge to all the Super Affiliate Gurus. You know the ones who continually push and promote products such as: ClickBank Pirate, ZFM, Affiliate X, The Affiliate Code, Lazy Cash etc. These people, Saj P, Philip Mansour, Alex Goad, Soren & Cindy, Ewen Chia, Michael Jones, et al, bombard us all each and every day with the latest twist on how to give up the day job and become and internet millionaire, simply by promoting their product for them.

My Hub article Internet Challenge For Marketing Gurus expanded on this theme and issued a challenge to all of them to carry out an online demonstration with me to ‘prove’ that their products actually deliver. I posted this challenge right across the internet, even on their own twitter accounts.

Guess what?

Yep! You’ve got that one right. NOT ONE OF THEM RESPONDED.

In my challenge I offered to donate the entire proceeds – 100% – to charity. Well, they didn’t take up the challenge so I can only assume they were running a bit scared. In which case, I will do it for them.

Tonight I am going to buy into the latest product from Saj P and Philip Mansour, called Banner Ad Blueprint and every day, I am going to keep a diary, in this Hub Page, on how it is going.

And I am going to keep to my word. If I make any money from the first campaign I set up then I will donate it to charity.

What I want you to do is keep coming back to this Hub every day and spread it around as much as you can, to as many people as possible because, either way, this one is going to be a winner.

Either I will demonstrate, with my online experiment and by following the program step by step, that these things are scams and only work for one set of people, the designers of the program, who benefit from the affiliate links in the ‘0’s worth of free bonus products’ that they give away, plus the fees YOU pay, that you cannot be bothered to cancel.

OR

These programs actually work. In which case, a charity is going to benefit.

By the way, this is going to cost me, because the purchase fee is and then there are ongoing costs for the bits and pieces I will have to buy along the way, as reccomended by the program. So I am going to be out of pocket over this.

As the program develops, I will provide a screenshot of whatever financial account I have with whatever affiliate program I have to join (I will have to figure out how to do that and display it in here!)

So . . . . Gentlemen, Start Your Engines And Let The Challenge Begin!

Banner Ad Blueprint (BAB) Review – Day 1

Ok. I have purchased my subscription to Banner Ad Blueprint (BAB). It cost me 4 as I also bought the ad-on that virtually guarantees success by having ‘Saj P’ right there so I can ‘look over his shoulder’ and copy what he does.

Sounds foolproof, doesn’t it?.

Oh and I also watched a ‘leaked video’ ??? How on earth, when it is your own product, can your own video be leaked??

It is all just like ZFM, which I tried last year and which was a miserable failure. The language and the techniques are basically the same, except for the fact that, instead of promoting PPC, he is promoting banner ads.

Funny thing . . I bought ZFM around September, when he was saying that PPC was THE Big Thing and yet, all his promo stuff for Banner Ad Blueprint says to stay away from PPC, as it is dead and . . . here somes the crunch . . . his screenshots of his Banner Ad account were taken in August, which is at the same time as he was saying that PPC was King!

So, how come he was promoting an out of date as a hot thing, with a + monthly subscription when, at the same time, he was preparing his next product saying, effectively, that the techniques he was selling were a waste of time??

Also, have you ever noticed, with Saj P, Philip Mansour and all the others, that the account detail for their campaigns which they show are usually about 6 months out of date?

I think they milk something and then, once it is past its sell by date, sell it on for plus to per month as a special member subscription.

Anyway, it is midnight and time for bed. So, I have made my purchase and in the morning I will be ready to start the course and give you my first daily diary report.

Diary Day 2

Well, I started working my way through Banner Ad Blueprint this morning. It is now 10pm in my part of the universe and I have spent a few hours today working my way through the material from Saj P.

So far I have watched 4 modules. Each module consists of an average of 5 videos and each one varies in length from about 2 minutes to 20 minutes, so that is about 20 mini video presentations.

Up to this point it has been a re-run of ZFM. Nothing new, except that this time he is plugging banner ads as the way to make big bucks.

I have to say, I have almost had enough of “Hey! What’s up” as the intro to each video.

It has all been theory stuff related to CPA, CPM and PPC with the usual promo for COPEAC, Neverblue, CJ and other CPA networks. This time, however Saj has added a couple of new things which, it must be said, are useful. One is asseenontv.com and the other is Market Samurai, a keyword tool.

I haven’t obviously got to the ‘meat’ of it all yet, where he reveals how to actually make money. But let’s just keep in mind his sales pitch for this, which is copied below:

Here’s what all that means to you-

You could literally make money with this stuff within the hour…

Literally … within an HOUR…

I’m not kidding, and I’m not exaggerating.

I’ll show you where to find hot stuff to promote – and I mean stuff that converts – I’ll show you how to get hordes of hungry traffic to it, and I’ll show you how to do that over and over.

Seriously, you could watch just a couple of these videos, and be making money immediately.

And that’s what this is about right?

Well . . . . there is NOTHING in the first 4 videos that would lead anyone to be making money “within the hour” or “immediately”

In fact, there has not been one direct piece of information that would lead anyone to make money. He doesn’t reccoment CPC or CPM, he just says “You will have to decide for yourself” and he doesn’t reccommend direct linking or landing pages, again saying “You will have to decide”.

It is all (so far) just regurgitated theory which is 6 months old and which is available in a dozen different places.

This all sounds negative on my part, I know. But I WANT it to succeed simply because I would love to make the 0 000 in one month that he says his system has made because it would be brilliant to give a charity that sort of money.

But just ask yourself. If he were REALLY making that sort of money, why would he waste his time selling BAB?? Would YOU?

Of course not!! 0 000 each month is 560 000 per annum, so you would just keep replicating that and make even more.

Still, I am going to start with the next module now in the hope that it actually tells me how to do something that will make money, rather than a load more theory about CPA, CPC, CPM, landing pages, banner ads, google, weight loss and white teeth!!

The competition is getting though for those who don’t know what are they doing. This can lead waste of valuable time and money.

I read an article online by Brain Fanale title: Why Is There a 95% Failure Rate With Home Based Businesses? According to Brain reason for such a failure rate is simplicity and support. Is this really true? Well not all the truth in my opinion. There are more to that than just support and simplicity. By the way this is a big number when the internet promises the average person to create unlimited wealth especially preached by the gurus.

Don’t worry I will soon revealed the number #1 secret why so many will not make in their internet businesses.  This is something so many successful online marketers know, but fail to tell the new person.  This is so obvious, you will kick yourself for not paying more attention to it.

In all businesses you got know the fundamentals. That’s the key to anything you want to achieve. One reason why people failure online is lack of capital. There are so many free places online to market your business, but if you don’t have the money to speed up or invest, then I think you have a long road ahead of you to make any money immediately.

Finally the reason so many people fail online miserably is because they don’t have the fundamental of traffic generation. This is the key my friend because without traffic coming to your website you got no business. This is the bread and butter of the internet.

Traffic=visitors=leads=sales simple as that. That’s why I decided to focus 95% of my time generating traffic to all my sites and I encourage you to do the same.  The free traffic generation all work but having a little money to invest in your business will do so much good.   The good news is online marketing is the cheapest and least expensive way to do business compare it to all the overheads offline requires.
