Iphone Marketing: Your Blog Isn’t on Their New Iphone?

Iphone Marketing: Your Blog Isn’t on Their New Iphone?

Like to be on the 45 million iPhones Apple may sell in 2009?

Woudn’t it be great to be able to put your web in the palm of their hand?

According to Fortune magazine (11, June 2008) the experts estimate that Apple will sell between 10 and 45 million iPhones in 2009!  This means people all over the world will be discovering the joys of surfing the net from wherever they are.

Wouldn’t it be great if one of their favorite destinations was your site?

By now, we all know that the iPhone is revolutionizing the mobile phone market.  It’s sleek, sexy and genuinely useful.

However, you may not have stopped to think about what an amazing marketing tool it could be for your web.

Thanks to the iPhone’s built in connectivity and Safari web browser, the millions of new users are discovering the joys of being permanently connected.

Let me share a real life example that happened to me just last weekend.

On the way home from a family outing, last Sunday afternoon our car “beeped” and a strange icon showed up on the dashboard indicator.  Slightly startled, I pulled over and reached into the glove compartment to find out what was wrong.

Of course, the car’s manual wasn’t there.

Should we drive on?  Find a gas station? Pray?

No!  Thanks to Daddy’s new iPhone, the answer was just three or four google searches away.

This is a true story.  The symbol indicated that the brake pads were getting worn (they’re now changed, thank you) and we were safe to keep driving home.

The only thing my iPhone didn’t do was save me from a stearn “talking down” by my wife.  “Why isn’t the manual in its place, love?”

Now you may be thinking, what does this story have to do with iPhone marketing?

Actually, I just wanted to make you understand two important facts.

In the first place, the iPhone is on a lot of people’s mind right now. It’s our new toy, we’re showing it off to all our friends and we’re eager to add as many nifty add-ons as we can.

In the second place, the idea of being permanently connected and informed is really seductive.  This trend is just starting off and you can ride this wave.

How much loyalty would you gain, if you’re readers installed a special icon and web application to their main iPhone screen?

Wouldn’t it be great to give them a special reader which automatically put your latest  posts conveniently at their disposal?

That’s exactly what we’ve done for our website.

If need to have your very own professionaly designed iPhone application, for next to nothing, please check out the following iPhone marketing proposal.

Blog Promotion A Way of Website Marketing

Blog Promotion A Way of Website Marketing

You have got your blog up and running on the internet. If you ask bloggers what they would want the most chances are you would probably get the same answer, more readers. At every point a blog owner should be posting their site name, blog URL or anything else that allow information about their blog. That’s why you should update your blog once a day if possible and at least once a week. Blogs get an early listing from search engines; hence, internet marketing experts are commonly using them as an enhancing agent for traffic count of websites as well as for product promotion. When you’re promoting your blog one of the most important things you need is content on your blog to promote. When you make a new post to your blog, ping it with a pinging service like pingates.com. Whatever be the type of business it has to grow and always requires interaction with people and customers with good customer relations. Networking with other bloggers can provide you a path to some of their readers and maybe a link on their blog. Within those email groups, you can find different people who have common interests and needs.

For your blog to generate enough traffic that will enable you to make money online, you need to learn some fundamental elements of blog promotion. You probably have some incredible content you want the rest of the world to experience. Social bookmarking is not the best way to drive tons of targeted traffic to your website. In order to succeed in blog promotion marketing you need to have some knowledge in customer relation. The reason that makes blog carnival a preferred means of blog promotion strategy is that publishers pick your permalinks for posting. Because the nature of blogging is fast and furious some bloggers have found that they need the ability to blog from a distance. Promoting your blog can seem like a task that can easily take up hours upon hours of your time every single day. All blogs have interesting articles, and a good blog can be a real treasure house of great content you can write about when you want to advertise a blog.

Focus on this productivity process every day, every week, and you will create stronger relationships in your personal blog community network. It can be said with certainty that creating a blog and launching it is easy enough compared to promoting it. Blogs are the easiest publishing platform on the Internet and the fastest way to potentially reach millions of other people across continents and time zones. But the content of your blog is the central part of your blog marketing. You should keep your blog active by posting on a regular basis so that there is fresh content to look over whenever a visitor comes. Nothing is more disappointing than pouring your heart and should into post after blog post without getting any feedback from your readers. You have to be diligent in building links, and you have to be patient enough for the search engines to find those links.

Importance Of Effective Blog Commenting For Social Media Marketing Strategy!

Importance Of Effective Blog Commenting For Social Media Marketing Strategy!

When we talk about social media marketing, blog comments have become an important part of it. Whether it is b2b or b2c social media marketing, using blog comments improves your search engine marketing strategy. From a search engine optimisation point of view, there are a number of positive effects of blog comments referring to driving qualified traffic to your site. Blog comments are an effective online marketing technique because they tend to bring more qualified and motivated traffic.

However, blog comments are also very useful and effective in building your online presence, so need to be carefully considered when designing your social media marketing strategy. Commenting on blogs demonstrates to readers that you’re active, passionate about a particular topic, and that you want to add value to the topic that’s being discussed.  Also, blog comments are an excellent way to connect and build relationships with key people in your field. Through their use, a business can create positive feedback and experience the benefits of social media marketing.

Before posting blog comments bare in mind three basic questions that will help you focus your message:

1. Who am I targeting through posting my comment here?

2. What action do I expect from their side?

3. How can I make them feel confident about taking this action?

We have compiled a list of Dos and Don’ts to have in mind as to structure your blog comments effectively:

Don’t:

* Embed links in the body of your comment. WordPress, for example, automatically adds a “rel=nofollow” attribute to the link, so you won’t see any impact on your web analytics .

* Add a comment if you have nothing of value to add to the conversation.

* Leave a comment without knowing your grammar and checking your spelling! It hurts your credibility.

* Leave disrespectful or inflammatory comments.

* Leave comments on every single post, or on a consistent string of posts.

* Leave comments just to build up your inbound links for SEO.  If you don’t add value, you will only be perceived as a spammer.

Do:

* Read all the comments before leaving yours. Leave comments that are relevant and valuable to others beyond mere opinion.

* Do answer questions left by other commenters.

* Use your comments to hint at your expertise. Try to be subtle and skilful.

* Do leave a link to your site.

* Use target keywords in your “name” in your comments as well as your tagline/position.

* Add insight, a new idea or a relevant link to the original blog post.

This is a list of do’s and don’ts to have in mind before posting a blog comment that will benefit your brand. Building your brand through blog comments has to be part of your business’ social media strategy.

Amazon.com Marketing: How to Get Your Blog Published on Amazon’s Kindle

Amazon.com Marketing: How to Get Your Blog Published on Amazon’s Kindle

Copyright (c) 2009 OnlineBizU.com

Amazon’s Kindle is a electronic book-reading device that allows people to purchase and download electronic versions of books, newspapers, and magazines. Now, you can have your blog available to Kindle readers, as well. Best of all, you can get paid for this strategy. However, you don’t get to pick the price Kindle owners pay to subscribe to your blog. Amazon chooses the price, based on what it believes is fair. This means .99 or .99 per month for most blogs. There is no way to distribute your blog for free.

The downside? You get only 30% of the subscription revenue. For example, if your blog sells for .99 cents and 1000 people subscribe to it via the Kindle, you’ll receive 7 per month rather than the full 0 per month paid to Amazon. International publishers must receive their funds via a U.S. check, which comes with a hefty international transaction charge.

All Kindle Blog subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial. Subscribers can cancel at any time during the free trial period. If they wish to continue their subscrption, they do nothing and it will automatically continue at the regular monthly price.

How can you get your blog distributed on the Kindle? Here are the 6 easy steps to Kindle publication:

1. Go to Kindle Publishing (Amazon) to sign up.

2. Create new account. Your existing Amazon.com account information will not work here. You’ll need to create a new account. Because you are eligible to receive payments for subscriptions, you’ll also need to provide some banking information and a tax ID number. Unfortunately, they don’t pay commissions via Paypal.

3. Add your blog. You’ll need the following information to complete your submission. RSS/Atom feed for your blog (be sure that your posts appear as full posts rather than excerpts or your blog will fail validation) blog description blog screenshot blog masthead/banner blog keywords 4. Double-check your entries before publishing the results.

5. Publish your blog to Kindle. Once you hit the “Publish to Kindle” button, it will take 48-72 hours to appear in Amazon.

6. Promote your Amazon status. Once your blog is published, you can ask your blog readers to go to Amazon and rate your blog as well as review it.

In all honesty, you’re not going to make much money from Kindle for the moment. Even though images are black and white and video won’t play on the Kindle, it’s a convenient way to read blogs on the go. However, I believe that the more methods of distribution you provide for your content, the better. Follow these 6 steps and become a published blogger on Amazon today!
