SEO Services – Get a Top Rank in Search Engines that is also Long-Lasting

SEO Services – Get a Top Rank in Search Engines that is also Long-Lasting

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a prestigious but time consuming technique where the website is tweaked with search engine-friendly programs, codes, content, and graphics to make it top ranked in important search engines. The content primarily is interspersed with relevant keywords so that useful customers get to see the website in the search results.

Although the salient algorithm used by the search engines are not known to any webmasters, seasoned web experts can easily identify the points based on which sites are ranked. The main criteria considered here are keywords, consistent navigation, lucid layout, clean source code, and files which don’t increase the loading time of the site. Here are some important SEO services you should look for when optimizing your website.

Identifying Business Goals and Audience

The optimization effort can be successful only when the correct tasks are chosen for each SEO services that are offered by an SEO firm. For instance, the business objectives, website expectations, target audience, traffic wants and expectations, and popularity of keywords matter a lot for implementing the SEO methods in a site. The first task for an SEO team offering SEO services is to identify these factors in business.

Managing Keywords and Key-Phrases

The success of SEO is keywords and key phrases. SEO services from a capable SEO team would look into the right combo of keywords which is able to attract the right kind of target audience. The tasks would include keywords, popularity of these key phrases against the amount required to use them for bidding process.

Integrating Apt Content

Content is the king for all types of websites which are vying for top slots in search engines. SEO services would include developing just the right content, integrating optimum number of keywords, and polishing the source code as well with relevant key phrases.

For instance, Meta tags, Alt tags, titles, and headings are provided with keywords. The density of the keywords should not cross 6 percent of the body text. Apart from keyword, content should be direct, informative, to-the-point, lucid, and simple for the readers to understand.

Navigation and Layout

Consistency and appealing look-n-feel helps website get a good rank in search engines. SEO services offered by a competent firm take care of the intuitive navigation of the site by making it consistent in design and outlook.

The layout should reduce the cognitive power of the reader. An appealing website design would have colors of the background and fonts matching enough so that the site is pleasant to read. Adequate white space, sitemaps, instructional text, and many such useful elements must be looked after by the SEO expert.

Link Building

Links, socialization, and communication marketing are also important in making a site top ranking in search engines. In fact, more the inbound quality links better would be the ranking and its consolidation. As a result, SEO services include link building from relevant websites.

Remember, White Hat SEO services are essential for a website to succeed in attaining top ranking in search engines. Top SEO services providers take a note on legal services for optimizing a site. Side-by-side they also keep a check on the illegal Black Hat SEO techniques as they can spoil the effort rendered through sincere SEO services.

End of the horizon for PCs as the sun rises for smartphones and tablets

End of the horizon for PCs as the sun rises for smartphones and tablets

End of the horizon for PCs as the sun rises for smartphones and tablets

IDC nearly gave a funeral oration to our beloved PCs in a recent report … and no one cried. Businesses, manufacturers, media and consumers were all brutally silent. Does this mean that they won’t miss the PCs? Don’t you remember how they furiously defended PCs when netbooks hit the market? Where’s the loyalty gone? Why have they switched sides this time? Perhaps it’s because never before in history has the mobile device market grown so aggressively.

IDC predicted in December 2010 that the shipments of smartphones, tablets, and other app-enabled devices would overtake PC shipments within the next 18 months, but it seems like the fall of the PC era is coming faster than expected. Quarterly smartphone sales surpassed PCs for the first time in history. According to IDC, there were 100.9 million smartphones shipped in the fourth quarter of 2010 compared to 92.1 million PC units. Smartphones are up by 87.2% on a year on year comparison, and this as opposed to a scanty 5.5% rise for the PC market.

John Dvorak from MarketWatch says, ”This industry is dead in the water. But nothing shines like a hot PC industry. It’s like a bull market. All the ships rise in the sea at once. Well, that hot market is never going to return and there will be no rising sea.”

Gartner predicted a 17.9% rise for PC sales in 2010, but then the iPad happened and Gartner had to eat its words. So this time Gartner has been a little careful with its 2011 predictions, tipping a subtle 15.9% rise in sales instead of the previous estimate of 18%. The stats are not heartwarming, but not declining either. IDC has predicted 12% annual growth rate for the PC market, to reach 630 million units by 2015, that’s a decent growth rate.

George Shiffer, an analyst at Gartner, bluntly argues that the PC market’s inability to innovate is to blame for the sluggish growth: “PCs are still seen as necessities, but the PC industry’s inability to significantly innovate and its overreliance on a business model predicated on driving volume through price declines are finally impacting the industry’s ability to induce new replacement cycles.”

But Dirk Meyer, CEO and president of AMD is betting on PCs as the ultimate way to handle the huge content requirement of users, ”There is growing global appetite for multimedia content created, edited and enhanced on PCs. That content is consumed downstream by any number of devices. Video–the lingua franca of the global village–will comprise 90% of all Internet traffic by 2013, according to Cisco. Right now, 20 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute. More than 1,000 pictures are uploaded to Facebook every second. 3-D films and gaming will soon be mainstream–a disruptive opportunity for the PC industry.”

But smartphones and tablets are quickly adapting to the content demand. Internet surfing is no longer limited to just desktop PCs or laptops; consumers are increasingly moving to mobile devices. Emails and chats are no longer dependant on desktop applications; they are already replaced by mobile email clients, Facetime and Skype apps. There are even apps that allow you to write and edit documents, spreadsheets, PDFs and poerpoint presentation on mobile devices.

Manufacturers are piling up iPods, smartphones and tablets with storage capacity, and they can now carry your complete music collection. Casual gamers are more comfortable on the gaming apps and hardcore gamers are switching to powerful gaming consoles. eBooks and online magazines are now widely available on e-readers and through e-reader apps on smartphones and other mobile devices. Smartphones have even replaced cameras for quick unfussy photography that produces increasingly good quality images.

Apple launched iPad last year with 256MB RAM and 1GHz processor, but all subsequent iPad contenders have more than quadruple memory and dual core processors inside. Many smartphones at CES 2011 debuted dual core processors, which are as powerful as PCs and can be used for watching movies or doing HD gaming. Soon there will be no boundaries for the storage and memory needs of consumers living in this multimedia age.

The technology has rapidly moved from text based machines, mice and keyboards to touchscreen devices that have suddenly made PCs looks gigantic and antique. Smartphone-tablet mania is sweeping the world and there continues to be an inevitable shift towards interactive computing. The majority of users don’t actually need high end desktops, they just need to surf a little, check a few emails, watch a few videos and hang out on social networking sites.

It’s not the end of the line for the PC market, but there is certainly a shift that is ticking in favor of smartphones, teblets and other mobile devices. Duncan Stewart, director of Deloitte Canada Research says: ”Like kids in a candy store, consumers and enterprises will be excited, yet overwhelmed by the sheer variety of options available to them… With PCs, netbooks, tablets and smartphones, buyers must choose among a wide array of functionalities, platforms, operating systems, sizes, features and price points.”

It’s too premature to declare the death of PC now; but netbooks, smartphones and tablets PCs have all have enhanced the way we are computing. PCs aren’t going anywhere just yet; we  still need them for high end video and photo editing and animation tools, for those who have huge content needs, need massive processing power, and of course for developers. But their significance will decline due to our craving for connected devices and for convenient mobile computing.

Shattering the #1 Myth in Internet Marketing: Quick Easy Money

Shattering the #1 Myth in Internet Marketing: Quick Easy Money

So why do so many people get fooled into believing Internet Marketing is a “cash cow”? Perhaps due to all the hype we see and hear about how ordinary people, down on their luck, who suddenly discover a system or method that generates large sums of money, quickly and easily while working from home. Guess where all the hype is coming from?  The online marketers who are creating these “get rich quick” schemes and products and selling them to you and I. Certainly there is money to be made in Internet Marketing, but sadly only the elite 3% are making most of it and their profit is from doing a great job of selling and promoting the #1 myth associated with IM, namely “quick and easy money” to the remaining 97% of us!

So how does this happen?  Everyone who has ever been involved with Internet Marketing has their own unique story as to how they got started. Here is a typical chain of events that many of you will probably relate to:

Phase 1 “Buying Into The Myth”
Generally this usually begins with a friend, relative or perhaps job colleague telling them a story about someone they know, or read about, that is making a ton of money since they started their own online business.  Best of all, you are your own boss, work from home, and all you really need is a computer, internet connection, and some basic knowledge of how to create a website. Throw up a website, find a product to sell, either one that you created or someone else’s and get paid a commission on all your sales (called affiliate marketing) and then “presto”, in a short time the money will start rolling in.  No more bills, new car, new house, exotic vacations and let the good times roll! (NOT!  Sorry getting ahead of myself here.)

Phase 2  “Info Overload”
Typically the inexperienced marketer takes on a “sponge” mentality, and is determined to quickly learn everything there is to know about how to make money online. Never dreaming that there are thousands of articles, reports, ebooks (downloadable books), blogs, websites, podcasts, webinars and more that are focused around making money online. Before long your e-mail is full of e-mail messages from people you have never met, all promising to
reveal to you the “secrets” of making money online in exchange for your name and e-mail address. Although you don’t realize it at the time, this is a thing called “list building” which as you will later learn, is essential to making money online.  At this point in time all you know is that this is FREE and so you subscribe to one marketers list after another. Before long your head is swirling with all this information, some of it good, some bad, but all claiming to be the answer to your money making dreams. You go to bed at night with terms such as “SEO“, “PPC”, “CPA”, Adwords, Adsense, Traffic, Tracking, Blogging, etc, all dancing around in your mind. Welcome to “Information Overload”!  So much information that you do not know where to start!

Phase 3 “All That Glitters Is Not Gold”
This phase usually starts to cost you serious money! By this time you are so stressed out over how much there is to learn that you are willing to consider most any quick and easy method to become successful. Enter the “get rich quick schemes”. Remember all that so called “free” material you received in Phase 2 in exchange for your name and e-mail address.  Well it really wasn’t!  This is a very common marketing technique used by most
successful Internet Marketers to get you on their customer list. Now they can e-mail you with product offers, sometimes their own products, but most often other online marketers products that they get a commission on if you purchase the product using the web link they conveniently provide. Click the link and you are sent to a promotional page or sales letter page that tries to convince you in a multitude of ways that you MUST have this product if
you are SERIOUS about making money online.  By this time you are probably so fed up and frustrated by your inability to make money as quick and easy as what you were led to believe (the myth), that out comes the credit card.  Before long yet another message arrives about a NEW launch of a product that will take the Internet business community by storm and make you rich in a few weeks or months. “Ching-Ching” … guess who bought
another product!  In no time at all, you are jumping from one “deal” to another as each one looks better than the last.  This lack of focus and desperation buying ends up costing you mega money and hours and hours of wasted time, with little if any money made in return.

Phase 4 “End Of The Dream”
To reach this point may take weeks, months or even years, depending upon how much money you are willing to throw at your failing Internet Marketing business. The cost may be in the hundreds or even thousands of dollars and all you have to show for it are countless hours spent sitting in front of your computer, a hard drive or book case full of information, and collections of “get rich quick” products that just never seemed to live up to the great promotional advertisements you read before you bought them.  If you are really lucky, then perhaps a few hundred dollars in profit which is rather insignificant given all the time and money you spent to make this small profit. Congratulations, you have now joined the 97% statistic of marketers who failed to create a successful online business.  At this point you may even bitterly announce to all that Internet Marketing doesn’t work, is a scam, or that all successful marketers must be crooks!

But Wait! REWIND to the beginning! How come 3% of the people who develop an online business are successful?  What did most of them know or do, that you didn’t? Have you ever hear the saying “People Don’t Plan To Fail, They Simply Fail To Plan”? This simple quote contains the key to becoming successful in an online business. You MUST have a solid plan of action from the very beginning or find someone who is already very successful as an online marketer (that you feel is sincere and trustworthy) and be prepared to learn from them, copy their successful strategies and techniques, and in the process avoid mistakes that could cost you both time and money.  Now this information and help will probably not be FREE, but it WILL more than pay for itself in the end when thanks to this training and support you can join the elite ranks of the 3% of Internet Marketers who are actually making serious money from their online business efforts.

Merchant Web Marketing And Affiliate Programs

Merchant Web Marketing And Affiliate Programs

merchant web marketing, affiliate programs, data feeds

Recently I wrote an article called “Put your spare domain names to work for you using affiliate programs”.
What that article basically described was an important approach to Merchant Web Marketing. A trend that many merchants offering affiliate programs are more and more starting to include in their package of affiliate services are Product Line Data Feeds. These Data Feeds can bring affiliate web marketing to a new level.

If you don’t already know, a product line data feed is a complete (or mostly complete) file, usually in .CSV or Tab Delimited format containing data pertaining to the products the merchant is making available for an affiliate to promote and sell. This has opened the door for many individuals who otherwise would not have an avenue to sell products online. And through something other than banners and buttons on a BLOG or website which for the most part go unnoticed by visitors.

This is one of the reasons (I feel) that generating massive amounts of traffic to a blog or personal website is sought after so intensely. It is simply required based on statistics on how poorly affiliate banners actually perform. For the most part that statistic works in the favor of the merchant. The more affiliates the merchant has promoting their products, services and website, the more revenue they stand to generate on a Collective level. Unfortunately on an individual level, very little revenue is realized for an affiliate. Which results many times in an affiliate generating some sales and some traffic to a merchant, and then moving on to something else disappointed by the performance of the banners. Many times never even having reached the minimum tier for payment by the merchant.

So in essence the merchant received free exposure and sales and increased their visibility on the internet and didn’t have to pay out a cent to the affiliate. It’s win win for the merchant. There are exceptions of course to EVERY affiliate program and each will have some truly inspirational success stories.

Not all is as bleak as it sounds. Google Adsense and clickbank are two affiliate programs that are an exception to this whole theory. Neither of them offer Data Feeds like i’m talking about and they are both great programs for many. And not all merchants base their marketing strategies on those types of statistics. There are plenty of merchants that want to see their affiliates succeed just as they want their own personal success. They feel that if their affiliate doesn’t make money, they don’t make money, even if that not entirely the case.

So they invest time, money and resources in providing a thorough Data Feed of their products so that affiliates can take their websites or blogs to another level and make a powerful impression on their visitors. The affiliate is now empowered in selling a much broader range of products and in control of how they present these products to their visitors and business prospects, which they know better than anyone else. And without having to stock or ship or process a single item.

A few things to look for when researching a merchant’s affiliate program is find out what the minimum payout tier is. Do the math and determine how much traffic your website must receive to achieve that payout, doing your best to estimate what percentage of your visitors actually purchase from your website. If it is a realistic number, you’re off to a great start.

Look to see if the merchant offers Data Feeds to their products and makes them available to you. Even if your interests are only in “easy to implement” banners and text ads, it’s a positive sign that the merchant is willing to expend extra effort in providing as many tools for you to succeed with their program.

And with any affiliate program, sell items that you know something about. You may not realize it, but the more you believe in a product or service the more convincing your sales presentation is.

And that in itself translates into sales.

Keywords: A Search Engine Marketing Tool to Sure Shot Success

Thus, it is suggestible to hone the keywords and the basis of their popularity.

Have you implemented Need Hierarchy Theory in Social Media????

Have you implemented Need Hierarchy Theory in Social Media????

The buzz around social media is increasing day by day. It has crossed all the geographical and age barriers. It’s not restricted in the circumference of specialists. Social Media Theory is the new approach which is widely accepted by all organizations.

Abraham Maslow introduced the pyramid of Need Hierarchy Theory. The pyramid consists of 2 levels- lower level known as Basic Needs and Complex level as Social Needs. The theory states that people are motivated to fulfill basic needs first before moving on to other needs. One can easily apply this theory in Social Media.

Have you ever wondered about the success of social media? Why does Facebook have more than 400 million active users? What made Facebook become a billion business? Why more than 3 million images are uploaded on YouTube and Flickr every day? Why are over 900,000 thousand blogs posted daily? The answer to this success lies in Maslow’s Need Hierarchy Theory.

Enterprises are now using this theory in Social media in order to capitalize the market. Social media, In accordance with the Maslow’s Hierarchy has been found largely related to various external and internal factors of production in an organization so as to optimize the use of resources and profit generation. They are applying this theory in the following areas:

1.Cost savings – Saving can offset the cost of enterprise system. This co-relates to Maslow’s hierarchy of physiological needs. The $ $ saved cover the cost to purchase.

2.Revenue generation – Revenue generation is another area of concern. The benefit is more focused on new products and services. Getting ideas from customers and employees that lead to new revenue generating products/services helps the enterprise in expanding its business. Customers have great ideas in their minds, and provide good direction for new products. On the other hand Employees too have new ideas with them but lacked effective means of making them known to a wider audience. And this thing can be compensated by sharing of thoughts/ideas between employees and customers via Social Media. The reason revenue generation is above cost-cutting is that there is an uncertainty about the revenue, from where it will come or what new idea would lead to increase in it.

3.Customer satisfaction – Happy customers are the key to success. Having customers suggest their ideas is a valuable approach to improving products and ideas. Customers who are not satisfied can lead to negative publicity for companies.

4.Employee satisfaction – The ability to find the right person to help with an idea or project. Highly engaged and connected employees are essential for the growth of an enterprise. Their ideas may become the projects for the enterprise which in turn gives high level of satisfaction to the employees as well as new platform for the organization to work upon.

5.Innovation culture – Ideas that are discovered and turned into action have produced favorable results in terms of business value. Innovation culture can be measured by Principles of Innovation Management which flourish inside an organization. This leads to creation of equalization among employees as well as generation of new ideas at all levels of organizational structure, which are oriented towards the short term and long term goals and objectives of the organization.

6.Organizational agility – The last stage Organizational agility is equivalent to Self Actualization, the top of Maslow’s Hierarchy Theory. It includes seeing changes in the market quickly, shifting resources in response to new opportunities, mixing incremental and disruptive innovation, moving on from initiatives, programs, markets, products that no longer work, employees can recognize opportunities and threats themselves, and act accordingly.

Similar to Maslow’s pyramid, in the social media counterpart first of all satisfy your basic needs than social needs and ultimately you will achieve Social Optimization. Do your basic needs sync with your social media needs? Identify where do you stand? Consider your needs and find what you require to fulfill them.

Three Funky Mice Made for Laptops

Three Funky Mice Made for Laptops

It isn’t easy being a computer mouse these days. While laptop sales grow and desktop sales decline, more people rely solely on laptop touchpads, many of which offer more functionality than mice. And tablets like Apple’s iPad and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab shun the mouse altogether.

But before you toss your tethered friend, it’s worth paying homage to the many things this gadget can do. From precisely cropping one of cousin Fred’s fleeting girlfriends out of a family photo to selecting just the right number in a spreadsheet filled with thousands of digits, the mouse is just the right tool for such precision jobs. And sometimes it’s just a lot more comfortable to use for long stretches of work on a laptop.  IBM laptop battery

This week, I tested three computer mice that laptop users will actually want to bring along with them. Their designs make them simple to pack in a bag, use while sitting on the couch or recharge directly from the laptop. I tried Microsoft’s Arc Touch Mouse, Logitech’s Couch Mouse M515 and the Swiftpoint Mouse.

At first glance, Microsoft’s Arc Touch Mouse looks like nothing more than a flattened mouse. But it’s cleverly designed to bend into an arc that serves as a comfortable rest for the hand. As soon as the Arc Touch Mouse is bent into this shape, its battery turns on. It holds this shape until you flatten it with your hand. When it’s flattened, the mouse turns off to conserve battery. Microsoft claims this battery will last up to six months. The flattened Arc Touch is much easier to pack in a carry-on or to slip into a side pocket than its rotund relatives.

On a Mac, the Arc Touch is limited to basic functions, including use of its touch-sensitive scroll strip that scrolls super quickly when a finger flicks up or down on it. This strip makes a subtle sound like that of a roulette wheel as it scrolls, and a tap on the strip stops the scrolling at a specific location on the screen. I caught myself looking down at this mouse a few times to make sure I wasn’t using a real scroll wheel because the sound effects and feel of the scroll strip are so wheel-like. sony laptop battery

On a Windows PC, installing software will give the Arc Touch extra functions. Double tapping the middle of the scroll strip gives it the same function as a regular mouse’s middle click. Or this button can be programmed to open a link in a new tab within Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser. This mouse’s tiny USB receiver can be plugged into a laptop almost unnoticed or it will magnetically stick to the base when not in use.

Logitech’s Couch Mouse M515 seems like it was made with me in mind. I often sit on my bed or couch using my laptop, and this mouse has a sealed underside so its sensor doesn’t collect fuzz from fabrics after passing over them several times. I used it on carpets and on a blanket and liked its base, which is designed to glide easily over all types of surfaces. This mouse felt fast and responsive.

To conserve battery, the Couch Mouse is only on when a hand grips it. So if someone stops to watch TV for a while, then accidentally sits on the mouse or the mouse slips between couch cushions, its buttons won’t continue clicking away. An underside switch turns it entirely on or off. The Couch Mouse also uses a USB receiver, and it can be stored inside the mouse for travel.

Like the Couch Mouse, the Swiftpoint Mouse from Swiftpoint Ltd. of New Zealand, is designed for use with laptops in less than ideal working environments. This tiny mouse was designed to operate directly on the laptop wrist rest area or on the laptop touchpad, itself. In fact, the mouse comes with a large, clear sticker labeled “Swiftpoint Parking Accessory” that goes on the laptop so the mouse doesn’t slip off when the laptop’s tilted. fujitsu laptop battery

The simple sticker worked well, creating a magnetic square in the center of the wrist rest area that kept the mouse from slipping off when I was leaning back and typing at an angle.

A scroll wheel on the right of the Swiftpoint Mouse works by rolling it with one finger or by turning the mouse on its side and moving it up or down, which made for faster scrolling. I found this feature awkward and unnatural at first, but after a lot of use, I grew accustomed to it. Touching the left click button while scrolling up or down zooms in or out, respectively, on any screen.

This mouse is so small that rather than its USB receiver fitting inside or on it for storage, the mouse magnetically attaches onto its USB receiver, resting on it while the receiver is plugged into the laptop. This allows for the Swiftpoint Mouse to recharge its battery; Swiftpoint says 30 seconds of charging will give the mouse an hour’s worth of juice and a 90-minute charge will last two to four weeks, depending on how much you use it. The former proved to be true for me, but I didn’t have enough time to test the latter claim.

When I set this mouse onto the USB receiver for charging, it flashed a rapid green charging indicator light, which slowed after about a minute. Using a rechargeable mobile mouse means not worrying about getting stuck somewhere with dead batteries.

For those looking to have more control in the Windows 7 environment, Microsoft is bringing out in May an model called the Touch Mouse. It will work specifically with Windows 7, using a touch surface that responds to gestures so as to perform tasks like docking, minimizing or maximizing and displaying the desktop.

It’s an awful lot like Apple’s Magic Trackpad, a square surface that came out last summer and enables gestures within the Mac operating system for desktops.

Though these three mice are easy to port around and work well in a variety of work environments, they can’t replace many of the clever gestures built into so many laptops nowadays, especially Macs. But if you’re looking for comfort and function on the go, they do the trick.

Battery company is an operated online retailer of high-quality electronics accessories, specialising in laptop batteries and laptop adapter, battery chargers, camera batteries, camcorder batteries, dewalt power tool batteries and mobile phone batteries. Battery company has quickly grown to one of the top online Australian retailers of electronics accessories, offering generic product brands that provide the same quality as the big brand names but at half the price.
