Web Design Layout For More Visitor Sign-ups

Web Design Layout For More Visitor Sign-ups

The big problem facing a lot of Internet Marketers is what is the ideal web design layout for their squeeze page to achieve the highest conversion rates.

The moment your visitor lands on your web page a handful of questions will be racing through their minds.

Does the landing page deliver on the promise of the domain name or the article that was written about it?
Is it obvious what this web page’s objectives are?
Can this page really help me with my problem?

There are no doubt many more subconscious questions that often relate to the web design layout itself.

You only have a few seconds to communicate your message to your visitor, and get them to willingly leave you their email address, so it’s vitally important that the web design layout of your page has been thoroughly researched and split tested to establish a winning formula.

Here is a list of what is essential for a highly converting web design layout:

Keep the important stuff at the top. A bad web design layout will have the sign-up box located at the bottom of the page, so the visitor will need to scroll down the screen to see it. On a good layout the sign-up box is immediately to the right of a video or picture of the product, where your eye is naturally drawn, so there is no scrolling needed to see the call-to-action.
Use photos of the person whose product it is. You feel like there is a real person behind the product being promoted. So you naturally get a feeling of trust, almost like you know them!
The use of video on your squeeze page immediately grabs the attention of your visitor. You are engaged by the visual message the moment the web page displays. Make sure it is displayed at the top left of the page, so you leave the top right available for your sign-up web form.
Use a clear, simple and specific web design layout. The more links and banners you have on your webpage, the less likely your visitors will follow the desired action of leaving their email address because you are offering them more than one option.
Get your product designed as a 3D image and have it displayed near your sign-up box. The perceived value to your customer will increase if they can visualize it as a “real” product.
The use of strong, vibrant colours can really help to attract your visitor to your page. Use a strong colour where you want to highlight a “call-to-action. ”
Strong eye-catching graphics can really steer your visitor to your call-to-action. A great visual trick is to include an arrow pointing to your sign-up box with a strong message like “Exclusive FREE information here”. Your visitor’s eye will naturally be drawn along the arrow and the word “free” will grab their attention on the way.

Here are just a few of the ways to achieve a highly converting squeeze page.

Next, discover how to make your own great web design layout and therefore avoid some of the most common pitfalls that inexperienced marketers make when setting up their squeeze pages.
