Using Google’s Keyword Tool to Find Long Tail Keywords
Keyword research is an art form. If you have the fundamentals of IM and can master keyword research and keyword utilization you will make money online.
It’s important to remember that these days, Internet Marketing is all about Google. Google is the gateway for the internet for most people.
If people are looking for information on the web, the first place most people look is Google. And if you are an informational marketer, Google should be your best friend.
With Google it’s all about the keywords. Google is built off of keywords, and key phrases. Since this is the only way Google can figure out what the user is looking for.
Keyword research therefore is hugely important. You can find “profitable keywords” for your niche that doesn’t have much competition and you could literally write yourself a check.
You would then use these keywords and either attack it with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) or AdWords (Google’s text advertisement system).
SEO is trying to get on the #1 result, or get on the first page of Google for your various keyword of choice. With AdWords, you are trying to create profitable Campaigns with good CTR’s (click thru rate) and high sales conversions. With AdWords you will pay to be on the first page of Google, SEO is organic and takes more time usually.
A good way to figure out which keywords to target for your website is to:
1) Use Google’s Keyword Tool.

Click, ‘Website Content’ and enter in your website address.
This basically grabs all the relevant keywords that Google thinks is relevant to your website.
2) Grab the results then put it back into Google’s “Descriptive words or phrases” search.
This will output the keywords Google thinks is similar to the keywords that are relevant to your site.
If your AdWords campaign uses these keywords, your cost per click would be lower, because your site is more relevant.
With SEO, if the keyword you’re targeting for SEO purposes is already the keywords Google associate with your site, you stand a much higher chance of ranking for those keywords.
