Who remembers the days when mobile phones were ugly, brick-like things, that did, basically, nothing? Bad times, they were, believe me. Since then, of course, numerous mobile phones have come along to enlighten us all about what handsets can do, and arguably one of the most popular product ranges, from that respect, is the world-famous Nokia Nseries, that began way back when, with the triad of the N70, N90 and N91. How about we start with the first thing most people ask about when they see a new mobile phone: what’s the camera like on the Nokia N96? Coming in at 5 megapixels, and packed with loads of extras like autofocus, flash, and Carl Zeiss lenses, it’s definitely a top-ender, and one of the best 5 megapixel shooters out there. The other features don’t disappoint either, with GPS and HSDPA internet access, making the Nokia N96 one of the most feature-packed mobile phones out there. But it’s with multimedia that the Nokia N96 really shines, since the video playback is some of the best I’ve seen on ANY mobile phone, it has 16Gb of memory to store tons of video clips, and it supports DVB-H mobile TV. It gets better though, because the Nokia N96 is one of the few mobile phones on the market that has the BBC iPlayer, let you get on demand to all the BBC’s best TV shows, wherever you are!

Ok, so the Nokia N96 is advanced, but is it really the mobile phone you should drop your cash to buy? Well, there’s no denying it’s sexy. Very sexy. It’s easily one of the glossiest, best-looking mobile phones on the planet, I reckon, and it’s definitely going to catch your eye. But it’s not just about looks, and power-wise, this gorgeous beastie from Nokia is going to give you a lot to play with. Ok, sure, it’s an expensive phone, but you get what you pay for, without a doubt, and the Nokia N96, in my opinion, is one of the few mobile phones that is worth the asking price!
