The removable hard drive is shielded by a protection mechanism to prevent damage during operation. It also incorporates anti vibration rubber, which serves as a shock absorber during transport, and anti shock housing to further protect if bumped or dropped. The HDD is also prepared for extreme temperatures, with a specifically designed optional HDD heater combined with low temperature battery the V100 will continue to work in temperatures down to -20?C. The V100 is one of the first computers with an ultra-mobile footprint to provide such advanced rugged features.
