2 Steps To Finding Good Keywords While Keyword Researching

2 Steps To Finding Good Keywords While Keyword Researching

Keyword Research is in the front of everyone’s mind as they set out to write an article or start a campaign.  Therefore,  learning How To Find Good Keywords is a 2 Step Process.

You need a good set of keywords having low competition, but…enough search volume to make it worthwhile.

If you can find a keyword that has a limited number of searches, but the searches are highly targeted…you’ve probably struck gold.

First, it requires the use of a “keyword tool” to find the amount of searches made for any particular keyword.

Then, you have to discover how much competition there is for the keyword you’ve selected.

We’re trying to discover keywords that show a HIGH amount of SEARCHES…but a LOW amount of COMPETITION!

Here is a very good tip!  Use the keywords that people would use when they’re searching… in your own copy.

If you use the wording people would type into their browser in your copy, descriptions, page titles and links, you will score well in the search engines and make it easy for people to find your site.

The language you use in your copy will be appropriate to those searching.  So, if you speak to people in their own language, they will be more apt to buy from you and not your competition.

Searching your keywords within quotation marks has great advantages.  They help YOU with your research.

Here is one of the so-called “Secrets” that most won’t explain.

When you conduct a search at Google without quotes, you’ll obtain results that contain your particular keywords in any combination.

However, if you conduct your search in quotes, you’ll get results that only contain the pages with your EXACT keyword phrase.

Can you see the huge difference?  A lot of people don’t right away.

Let’s say the results without quotes are 1,340,000…and 1200 with quotes.  You should probably use this keyword, because using the exact term, you are only competing against 1000…not 1,340,000.  Doesn’t that make more sense?

When people search without quotes, they will get ANY site using that keyword in the title of their article, website, etc.  Also, the keyword might not be the exact keyword.  It may be broken up.

For example, let’s say your keyword is “the fastest way to earn extra money online.” Goggle will pick up sites that include “fastest” or “earn money” or “extra money online,” but maybe not in that order or even grouped together.
