Well here is the secret to success of online marketing. In order to market anything online you need to find a way to get visitors to your website. That is to say you need people who are interested in what you are offering.
There are two ways you can do this online:
1. Use paid traffic methods like PPC. Pay per click (PPC) is an internet advertising model used on websites, in which advertisers pay their host (the host is you and your website) only when their ad is clicked.
2. Generate “free” traffic from organic search engine rankings, use viral marketing tactics, or generate links from high traffic pages.
This is an overview of paid traffic. Google AdWords, Yahoo! Search Marketing, and Microsoft adCenter are the three largest network operators. This is where you will find most of your PPC business.
First off you must find a market keyword for your product, service or knowledge that you are selling. That is what do people search for related to your product.
On Pay per click, once you find your market keyword you need to think about your break even point. For example if you pay .00 and your product is 0, you need a sale every 100 clicks to break even.
So the million dollar question is..Can you get a hundred clicks and if so how long will it take. This leads back to how many visitors can you get to your site that are looking for these types of products.
