Flash Creative Suite 3 designers popularly known as CS3 designers, is a new age multimedia platform which is developed with an aim to impart better interactivity to web pages. Traditionally called “ShockWave Flash” movies, “Flash movies,” or “Flash games”, these usually have a ‘.swf’ file extension, and may be used in the form of a Web-page plug-in, strictly played in a standalone Flash Player. All of the above editions includes shared applications and services including Adobe Bridge, Adobe Version Cue (except Production Premium), Adobe Device Central, Adobe Acrobat Connect and Adobe Stock Photos. Adobe Dynamic Link, Adobe OnLocation (Windows only) and Adobe Ultra (Windows only) were included in the Production Premium and Master Collection editions.

CS3 includes several programs, in its Flash site design such as Dreamweaver, Flash, and Fireworks that were developed by Macromedia, a former rival acquired by Adobe in 2005. It also included Adobe OnLocation and Adobe Ultra that were developed by Serious Magic, which is also a firm acquired by Adobe in 2006. Flash website design incorporates Rich Internet Applications (RIAs). Recently, they released Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR), a cross-platform runtime environment which can be used to build, using Adobe Flash, rich Internet applications that can be deployed as a desktop application. It recently surpassed 100 million installations worldwide. This is mainly because it is installed automatically, without any disturbance to the user when Acrobat Reader is installed. Many users are unaware of its residence on their system. However, it is a gem of a tool and when once discovered by them is bound to turn out useful to the users.
