Problems With Acer Aspire 5050 Have
have an Acer Aspire 5050 which is about 6 months old. It used to work fine but from few days it is giving some unusual problem with it. Whenever i press the power button, the laptop boots up but the keyboard, touchpad and all the buttons on the laptop wont work. External keyboard and mouse work fine. Try booting the windows in safe mode and see if the keyboard and all buttons work fine. Booting the windows in safe mode will help you to diagnose the problem. In safe mode the windows will only boot the basic necessary applications which are required for the windows to work. Now go to device manager and check if the drivers for keyboard and touchpad are working properly or not. Troubleshoot if there is a caution sign against them.
