Website Health Check: Keyword Blunders – Part 2

Website Health Check: Keyword Blunders – Part 2

If you have read the first part of the article, you should by now be aware of the basics of keywords and the importance of Website Health Check. Keyword density is another important aspect of Search Engine Optimization and will be dealt with in this article. Some more blunders in keywords such as keyword stuffing, spelling errors, cloaking, etc. revealed by a Website Health Check report are mentioned here.

Blunder 1: Keyword that is not relevant to the content
Many people do this mistake in keyword research. The output of the keyword research should be that the final keywords should be 100 percent related to the website, with low competition and high search volume. But, most people on their attempt to balance competition and search volume lose sight of the relevancy of the keywords to the site.  Irrelevant keywords will not help in Search Engine Optimization.

Blunder 2: Keyword density being too low:
Another probable flaw found in websites through a Website Health Check is keyword density. Keyword density is the number of times a keyword repeats itself when compared to the rest of the content. If the keyword density is low, it won’t create an impact for the search engines to register the word as an important element for the website. The standard should be around 4% – 7% of the entire webpage. But, if the keyword density is high, it results in “keyword stuffing” which we’ll discuss next.

Blunder 3: Having a high keyword density (aka) keyword stuffing:
Keyword stuffing can be defined as “the technique by which a keyword(s) is overly repeated in the webpage content to get a higher page rank.” This is considered to be an unethical SEO technique which may easily result in the website being penalized by search engines. This process is also considered to be a part of Spamdexing (again unethical!). This will probably result with your site being banned by the search engine.

Blunder 4: What’s the spelling again?
The keyword research might provide you with a good set of keywords to use in your website. But, due to silly mistakes and typographical errors, people make the word plural or commit a spelling mistake. Search engines do not have the capacity to check for the misspellings and change them as necessary. In keywords, there is a sea of difference between “box” and “boxes”.

Blunder 5: Having hidden text or keywords (aka) cloaking
Cloaking will reduce your page rank to as low as zero or the search engine could easily ban the site. Cloaking is an unethical procedure of adding invisible content in the website containing the keywords to get a higher position for queries in search engines based on the specific keywords. This could be done by making the font color of the content same as the background. Another form is by replacing the respective description used to describe missing images with keywords. This may be unintentional due to a technical error. You know it. But does the search engine know that it is unintentional?

You can use a vast array of tools on the Internet to find these blunders. Or, you can get a Website Health Check report for your site from any site providing SEO services.

Once you find that your website needs change, contact your website administrator to make the necessary changes. More preferably you could approach your SEO vendor if you have one because they are more trained in keywords and other optimization criteria. Some of these blunders may cause more harm than others. Even then, why leave it to chance? Start your Website Health Check today!

The Value Of Keywords

The Value Of Keywords

Keyword density and placement are valuable parts of optimizing your articles for search engines. Search engine spiders scan a page in such a way that makes it important to place your keywords where they will be detected and recognized as a keyword, so that your article will come up when someone searches for that keyword.

What is a Keyword?

A keyword is a word that is going to be placed in your article several times, not just once ( as that would make every word a keyword). When a spider sees that you have a word placed several times in an article, it will determine that your page may be useful to users that search for such a keyword.

Over Optimizing Your Articles

It is important to note that there is also such a thing as over optimizing your articles for particular words;  this is known as “keyword stuffing”.  When you stuff keywords in an article a spider will detect that you are trying to trick it into placing your article high in the search engine results for that word, and will instead penalize your site and your page for doing just that.  It may even affect the rankings of your other pages or get your site blacklisted from a particular search engine if you are found keyword stuffing too many times.

What is Keyword Density?

Keyword density is how many times your keyword is placed in your article. Most use a percentage to determine how many times they will put a keyword in an article. For instance, if you have a 500 word article and want to achieve a keyword density of 5%, then you will need to have the keyword in your article exactly 25 times.

You can find hundreds of resources and guides recommending one keyword density over another and the reasons  behind the logic.  However, in the end you are the only one who can determine which density is more profitable for your articles  based on past results.  As long as you don’t over optimize and you are ranking well, then you can choose whatever keyword density you like.

No matter what exact density you choose, the important thing is to place keywords so that there are more at the beginning and end to produce an hour glass effect.  Having the right keyword density in your article makes it more likely that you will make money  from that article, because it will rise in the search engine results and be seen by more people.

Review Article Of Toshiba Qosmio G35-Av650 Computer

Review Article Of Toshiba Qosmio G35-Av650 Computer

Toshiba’s Qosmio line of notebooks are the poster children for multimedia excellence. Usually loaded with the latest mobile technology from Intel, gorgeous and bright screens, Windows XP Media Center Edition, TV tuner, and lots of other multimedia goodies. These days we’re looking at the Qosmio G35-AV650, the current middle-of-the-line Qosmio model available

The AV650 uses Intel’s Centrino Duo platform, sporting the T2500 2.0GHz processor and 3945ABG wireless card. You get a higher resolution WUXGA (1920×1200) screen powered by NVIDIA’s GeForce Go 7600 with 256MB of GDDR3 VRAM. Each port you could want is on this puppy, including HDMI video output perfect for watching HD-DVD movies on your high definition home theater. Speaking of HD-DVD of course, the Qosmio AV650 sports an optical drive capable of playing HD-DVD movies! Enticed by this feature filled Qosmio yet? Read on to find out what other surprises this laptop has in store!

Let’s just put it this way: none. Weighing in at a hefty 10.1lbs, the only individuals wanting to tote this around are seeking a workout simultaneously. With dimensions of 16″ x 11.6″ x 1.79″, you aren’t likely to be able to open this up on your seatback tray in coach class on an airpline either. Any questions?

Like most entertainment electronics these days, the Qosmio is made to be pleasing in both form and function. The silver-on-black theme is attractive, but subtle. When you open the Qosmio, you’ll notice the polished black interior reflecting back at you. The brushed silver mouse buttons & volume control, striking large speakers, and blue accent lights really stand out.

For the normal uses of a touchpad, the Qosmio has a standard one. The response is smooth and the buttons have the same shallow, solid click to them as the Portege M400 tablet. Where the Qosmio’s touchpad truly excels is in its non-touchpad usage.

The Qosmio’s toucpad has an alternate function. If you tap the icon with double arrows in the top right corner, it will light up the bright blue backlight on the touchpad and enable all of the secondary functions. The top row consists of E-mail, WiFi, and Print functions, with the bottom row all launching user-defined applications. On the right side where you would normally scroll, you can adjust the volume level as well. Along with this being neat feature really cool looking, it is functional as well.

As you can tell from the descriptions above, Toshiba’s Qosmio is chock full of input & output ports. With plenty of USB ports, tons of audio/video inputs & outputs, and an HD-DVD drive, what more could one ask for on a multimedia machine? Well, regular video editors might appreciate a full-size 8-pin Firewire port given size really isn’t a limitation here. Straight-up DVI output with a VGA adapter would be preferable than a VGA out, but you can always adapt the HDMI to DVI.

We really liked how Toshiba incorporated both Express Card and PC Card slots. Express Card isn’t quite prevalent enough yet to offer everything a multimedia entusiast might want, so both standards are included for maximum compatibility.

Most people don’t use 17″ notebooks in their lap, but those who desire knee problems don’t need to bother about burns. The Qosmio runs fairly cool, idling around 40 degrees Celscius and running around 50 C during moderate usage. We never noticed any hot spots on the bottom, but with a 1.73″ thick chassis there should’ve been plenty of room to cool the already chilly Core Duo processor.

Since the Qosmio features dual hard drives, one would hope upgrading those could be done by the user. In fact, Toshiba makes the process very simple, as you can tell from the picture below. You can even easily access both RAM sticks on the underside. The CPU isn’t easily accessible, but a resourceful owner could probably get to it. One could theoretically put in a Core 2 Duo were Toshiba to offer an updated BIOS (or the user could load the AV660’s BIOS), but why would someone risk that on such an expensive laptop?

MLM Articles – How To Get Leads On Social Networks Without Annoying Your Target Audience

MLM Articles – How To Get Leads On Social Networks Without Annoying Your Target Audience

It’s not difficult or complicated to find high quality leads on any of the social networks, but there is one huge error that most amateurs make: They’re trying to get LEADS instead of attempting to ADD VALUE to their target audience’s lives.

Let’s be truthful; nobody wants to be a “lead.” I know I don’t care to be anyone’s “lead.” Have you ever picked up the phone and said, “Good day, Mr. X. I’m calling you because you’re a lead that I want to peddle my product or service to.” Absolutely not!

But, what we normally do is try to find our way “in” to subsequently sell that person, and as soon as they “see what you’re up to,” they’re going to back-peddle away from you really quickly.

Discontinue thinking of individuals as leads, prospects, “suspects,” and start viewing of them as PEOPLE. When you can see someone as a real person and not an object, your thoughts will make a turn to meet the needs of a PERSON, not satisfy your own selfish motives for money, power, and success.

So, I’m going to give you the basic plan for getting more PEOPLE to connect to you, not leads, prospects, etc. Let’s use Facebook as an illustration and how to go about locating PEOPLE.

When you belong to a group of people with a common interest, strive to become a source of value to the community. Distribute information that is relevant to issues challenges that others may face so that you can enrich lives and make positive impact. Don’t sell; just focus on giving value. Now, you can’t just post a topic every now and then and expect anyone to trust you. Be consistent with GIVING VALUE so that your name and face becomes familiar. That way, no one senses you are after “leads.” You are honestly committed to the strength and growth of the entire group and all will grow in their respect for you. People will only do business with people who they like AND trust.

The members of the community will begin to take note of your advice and become interested in finding out more about you. They will look for links to your website, blog, or profile to read more about you AFTER they connect to the value that you bring. At this point, everyone is definitely not on guard because you’re not trying to obtain anything from them. Once they start to get curious about you and your expertise, they will reach out to YOU for advice, recommendations, or even to enroll in your business. You don’t need to put on a full sales assault with sales content or presentations. Just chill out; the more non-aggressive and non-emotional you are, the more open others will be to move forward with you.

If you can accomplish this for enough people, you’ll have no challenges gaining new reps. Honestly, somebody is ready everyday if you do this the right way. Make a decision right now to position yourself as a trusted advisor to as many people as possible and it will make a tremendous amount of difference for your success.

Analysis Hp Pavilion Tx2000Z Tablet Computer

Analysis Hp Pavilion Tx2000Z Tablet Computer

When we reviewed the tx2000’s predecessor, aptly named the tx1000, last July, we found it to be an interesting machine. It was unique in being one of several only entertainment-minded laptops with a resistive digitizer display. HP has refreshed the tx1000 using the tx2000, which brings a technology refresh in addition to a full active WACOM digitizer.

We found the design of the tx2000 to become strikingly similar to the previous model. Whilst the previous model combined black and silver cues, creating a piecemeal effect, the new design swaps the silver hinge having a black one for much more uniform style. The exact same goes for that inside, where the black keyboard was replaced with a silver a single, matching the base. The tx2000 also sports an ‘Echo’ imprint, which looks like crop-circles, on both the lid and also the palmrests, unlike the ‘wave’ imprint that was present about the tx1000.

The hinge appears almost identical to the previous model, although HP decided to emblazon a helpful arrow to tell you which way the hinge turns. Once you turn the LCD close to (the right way) it snaps closed in four locations to tablet type. The clasps won’t automatically snap in place, so you must ensure you apply equal pressure.

The speakers remain on the hinge itself, which is an excellent design choice. In real-world usage the classic laptop computer position is poorly suited for several activities, including watching videos. If you’re on a plane, for instance, the normal laptop position is generally at odds with the seat facing you. Try turning the monitor close to and watching from that position. You’ll be glad the speakers turned with the picture.

The keyboard remains nearly identical towards the tx1000, which is to say smooth with excellent tactile feedback. The crucial noise is on the loud side, but some break-in will reduce that somewhat. The keyboard was changed to silver to match the base, and the right shift crucial was enlarged to full-size. The whole keyboard feels less cramped than the original. I have larger-than-average hands, making this high about the totem pole for me.

Fortunately, the touchpad is the same a single we came to appreciate about the tx1000. It uses an fascinating inverted bump style for superb tactile feel, and a separate bar on the right for scrolling. This seems to work much better than other laptops, which combine the scrollbar using the touchpad. Above the touchpad is a silver switch which turns the touchpad on or off, if you’re using an alternate input device or to avoid accidental touch recognition.

We were interested to see what the TL-66 could muster. It posted a Worldbench 6 score of 53, which isn’t very impressive. 3DMark ‘06 scored a paltry 192 3dMarks. The Turion X2 processor helped post a much more respectable 2313 utilizing PCMark Vantage.

Battery Life about the tx2000 was above-average given the small 4-cell battery. We managed to squeeze almost four hours of general use, although that was light on the stylus. If you switch the tx2000 to performance mode or use the digitizer exclusively, you may see lower times. It is critical to note that an optional 6-cell battery is available, although this raises the unit’s height from 1.23″ 1.52″.

The tx2000 was relatively silent throughout general use and high-load testing. This is attributed to the improvement from the fan location, which makes a much more direct outlet and reduces heat buildup. For a passing fancy token, the heat emanating from the vent could be uncomfortably warm if the vent is even slightly obstructed. The only time heat became an issue was when using the laptop in tablet type resting on my lap.

When placed into tablet type, the screen orients so the fan is facing directly toward you. That means you have a substantial amount of hot air blowing directly onto your leg. It appears like HP didn’t have a option, since the opposite end housed the energy plug. You have to pick between a energy cord jabbing your leg or a load of hot air. After 30 seconds of use, I decided on the energy cord.

How to Use Critical Focus Time in Web marketing and Make More Money

How to Use Critical Focus Time in Web marketing and Make More Money

In my internet marketing coaching article “The Difference Between  Earning Money  and Loosing Riches In Web marketing is CFT” I  talked about what CFT is, in relation to an on line business. This additional  piece explains how to apply the principles of CFT and get the most from it.

A simple error to make when you add Critical Focus Time to your web marketing strategy is to think that a commitment to being focussed is sufficient to make it so. It is easy to start out really earnest and strong-minded, but not so straightforward to sustain your enthusiasm. Roughly six days into your new way of  working you’re liable to find out that creating a new habit is not as simple as just deciding to do so.  Critical focus time, like any new ability or habit, involves consistent effort.

So, do not anticipate that you will get the Critical focus time correct the initial time you give it a go. Chances are you’ll need to practise until it turns into second nature and part of your success mindset. At the same time as you’re learning, accept that you will make blunders and let that be OK. When you appreciate this in the context of learning another skill you will be better motivated to go on practising until such time as you have cracked it and less disappointed if you’ve set backs.

These three suggestions will make your CFT bring higher returns:

1. Take away All Distractions

Turn off your telephone, close your office door, and ask your family/colleagues not to interrupt you for the prearranged time.  Concentrate exclusively on the work you have decided upon and don’t be tempted to do anything else.

2. Use A Timer

Start off with twenty minute blocks if you are new to this, building up to whatever your optimum work block duration is. You will have to experiment and learn what works best for you. Nevertheless, never go past 3 quarters of an hour as experiments have revealed that this is the maximum period of time we can focus for effectively.

3. Undertake Recurring Breaks In Between Work blocks

Take rests, up to a maximum of 15 minutes for a three quarter of an hour chunk of work. Take that time to get up from your desk and move away from the computer. Do something that needs you to move your body.

So, now that only thing that is outstanding is for you to make a promise as to how many chunks you’ll get done daily. Start small and work your way up and, bear in mind, practice, practice, practice.
