Let Them Eat Peanut Butter!

Kids love to play in the dirt, as you know all too well. If it’s not dirt then it’s peanut butter, or paint, or your favorite mascara…Trying to keep smudged-up kids separate from the computer station can prove futile. Luckily, with improved technology, you don’t have to keep you child away from the computer anymore. Using a touchpad will not only solve your cleaning problems, but the kids will feel like they are playing as they use it!

“My fingers are dancing!” said Betsy, age eight. On her first day of class at Fir Creek private school, she gravitated towards the computer at her desk place. She had never seen a computer with a touchpad keyboard before, but she immediately began to experiment and play with it. Before her teacher could explain how to use it, Betsy was adeptly downloading music to her iPod. Quick is the learning curve of the touchpad keyboard for kids.

Although Betsy was aware that her fingers were dancing, she did not know that her brain was actually stretching and improving. Studies have shown that children who use touchpad keyboards have higher levels of creative expression. The fluid movement of the fingers is similar to painting. The keyboard encourages the brain to think in non-linear, abstract formation. Children who use touchpad keyboards are more flexible, creative, and spontaneous than their counterparts who use traditional keyboards.

How fantastic can this keyboard be? Not only is it fun for kids, but it is easy to clean, far easier than a traditional mouse. Kids can eat their peanut butter and you don’t have to worry. With the touchpad keyboard, those crumbs are easily visible and simply cleaned. With the traditional rolling ball mouse, crumbs get stuck up inside and are difficult, if not impossible, to remove. Parents and teachers are saving hours of cleaning time with touchpad keyboards.

Teachers with cramped classrooms are appreciative of the space that touchpad keyboards save. With thirty kids to watch over, Betsy’s teacher must get creative about making space for all thirty kids within a compact room. Desks are crammed in and make for only a 1.5-foot aisle. The kids’ elbows are practically hitting each other. Thank goodness the touchpad keyboards save space. Eliminating the traditional mouse gives each child an additional ten inches of room. This efficiency is helping Betsy and other kids to concentrate better and understand the concept of “personal space.”

Touchpad keyboards are the favorite for families. American kids spend a minimum of two hours each day on the computer. Parents with touchpad keyboards are noticing that they are saving much time by not digging for dirt stuck inside a traditional mouse. With a quick swipe of the touchpad keyboard, all the peanut butter is gone.

Studies linking touchpad keyboards to creativity are just beginning to make waves in the parent community. Parents and teachers are taking advantage of the cleanliness, efficiency, and creative effect that touchpad keyboards have. They save space, they save time. They are good for the kids and you, so take advantage of them.
