Article Marketing is an easy, zero cost way to drive targeted traffic to your website and raise your search engine rankings all at the same time.

I use article marketing as my sole source of advertisement and have found it to be wonderful in generating targeted traffic. Visitors to my site are already interested in what I have to say or they would not be there.

It is also the most effective of the zero cost methods used to generate traffic. The only thing that article marketing costs is my time. I have used other free traffic generation methods and have been quite disappointed in them.

The article marketing process is fairly simple and I will explain it to you in 6 easy steps.

1.) Create articles based on the niche you have selected.

2.) Submit your articles to the major article directories.

3.) The article directories publish your articles.

4.) Readers view your article and may use the link you have provided in your resource box to visit your website.

5.) On your website you offer a free product in exchange for your visitor’s name and email address. This is done with an autoresponder.

6.) You write more articles the process works again. Meanwhile you are now using the data gathered by your autoresponder to conduct an email marketing campaign.

I could write an entire series of articles or even e-books on each of these steps, but at least you can now see the entire process in a nutshell. There is much more involved but these 6 easy steps are the basis for an entire article marketing business.
