The Apple producers might be happy to know that they are the third largest smartphone producer, and the second place has been taken by Nokia. According to the reports, Nokia has shipped 67.7 million device units throughout the year with 20.8 million in the fourth quarter which compared with Apple; Apple has shipped 25.1 million iPhone units in 2009, 8.7 million of those in the fourth quarter. The fourth largest smartphone producer is Motorola and the fifth position is taken by HTC. There we are done with the top five largest smart phones producers. Ah, the first position has not been revealed yet? Well the RIM is the largest producer of smart phones. The similar Report of January shows an increase in the sales of iPhones around the world. The other producers of smartphones like Nokia, RIM, Motorola and HTC come up with different models of handset but Apple is bound to the same iPhones 3gs.
