Keywords run the show in regards to knowing what people are actually typing into their search engine…..then you get in front of them with your product/service/article because you have included those keywords or keyword phrases in your website or article…you still have to convert this traffic once you have it and study all you can on one way back links….if you have lots of links back to your site/blog/article…you will gain great page ranks that = more traffic. Let’s say you land in a new town and you want to buy some bread and butter. You are probably going to ask “Where can I find a Bakery” rather than for the Name of any particular bakery.
The word “bakery” in this case, is the keyword because that is how you search or locate your desired destination.
Let’s say you put up a fantastic website to sell product A. How do people find you from among the zillions of websites out there? The answer is you use the right keywords in your sales page, title tags etc. and engage in effective SEO to “pull” people to your website.
If you want to “know” which keywords to use rather than “guess” you need to effectively use tools such as Overture or Wordtracker. This will help you to analyze the demand and supply – so to say – for your targeted market and bring you more sales, profits. $$$!
