How To Speed Up Hair Growth? Pure Caffeine In Scalp, Vitamins, Special Shampoo Etc?

I am a male in my late teens. For the second half of 2008, I had long-ish hair. It was annoying most of the time, and got in the way, but I liked how it looked. It got too much so one night in december 08, so I cut it all off to a short length, and then shaved my head. I had assumed that by now (beginning of april), it’d be quite long again-i expected it to be in my eyes a little by now, and taht my dad would be trying to make me getit cut, but it’s really short. But it’s still really really short. Shorter than the hair of all the other people my age who I know, apart from one who shaves his head regularly. According to someone else who is in the room as I type, it’s about one inch in length. So it’s growing below the average growth rate of a half inch per month.
I want my hair back. How can I speed it up? what has worked for you/people you know?
Right now I’m considering/doing the following:
-taking hair vitamins. i started yesterday with the cheapest ones I could find, called “perfectil hair skin and nails”.
-buying caffeine and showering with it. there have been studies saying it helps. google it! I might buy some pure caffeine online, but have been using coffee for now. any risks with this?
anything else? special shampoo?

Eat LOTS of protein (meat, nuts, etc) and maybe some protein bars, protein is really good for hair growth.

    Mountain sage, seaweed,peppermint oil,lavenderoil.
All in a lather rich high concentrated shampoo base.
Western Indians have healthy full hair. they have been using sage for medicinal uses for centre’s.
Japanese also have shiny healthy looking hair, they have been using seaweed for centers. Peppermint oil increases blood flow.
Lavender oil is refreshing. All of these ingredeances are in one shampoo conditioning serum. For you to enjoy and benefit from.
