These Online Advertising Pay-per-click Numbers Can Not Be Right….?

Ok so say you have a big social network website, which we’ll say gets a measly 20,000,000 hits per day. (sites like digg.com get something like 800,000,000) and only .07% of those views are going to click on an ad (i think .7% is the avergae), and you only get 5 cents per click (pretty much industry minimum).
that means:
20,000,000 x .07 x .05 = $70,000
youre still making $70,000 a day, or about $25 million a year..
now think what sites like digg would make with average rates and higher click revenues?
there has to be something wrong with my numbers….?

Website Marketing: Do You Make These 3 Mistakes With Free Offers?

Professionals — coaches, consultants, financial planners — want to help their clients. They also realize that clients often cannot imagine what service delivery feels like, let alone appreciate the benefits.

So their offer all kinds of freebies to generate leads, convert visitors and attract clients: sample sessions, get-acquainted calls, bonus gifts, introductory and CDs. Being generous, they often toss off a free offer because “everybody does it.”

Free offers can be a rewarding investment of your time or a wasteful drain on your energies. Here are 3 of the most common freebie mistakes.

(1) Focusing on price, not value.

Does the back of your business card read, “Call me for a free 20-minute consultation?”

Some professionals tell me they gained clients this way… five or more years ago. Today, I believe you have to differentiate yourself based on benefits and based on your unique ability to out-perform the competition.

Experienced buyers expect the free call to be little more than a sales pitch. So your offer can actually signal that you don’t value your time *or* your prospect’s time.

(2) Not tying your freebies directly to your target market.

Will your freebies attract prospects who differ considerably from those who actually sign up for the regular-priced service?

When I first offered copywriting servies, I offered free trial consultations.

But I soon discovered a hard truth. Clients who grabbed my free offers were very different from clients who expected to pay for the diagnostic call.

And they didn’t understand what they were receiving. One early client even said, “Sure, after you wrote my copy, I filled my workshop. But I’m sure it was coincidence.”

Needless to say, my free offers are long gone, even for my very best friends, even if I still had time in my schedule.

Of course, few marketing strategies are universal. In some markets, you will profit greatly by offering free sessions.

One reason: That’s the only way your prospects can get a sense of what you offer. Some professionals offer services that are so confidential they can’t even get signed testimonials.

And in some markess, introductory offers lead to lucrative contracts. You have to test.

(3) Not incorporating your freebies into your overall marketing strategy

Decide what you will give away as part of your marketing efforts – and decide what you will demand in return.

Many marketers (including me) offer ezines, e-courses and mini-ebooks…if you agree to share your name and email address and receive future mailings, including product announcements.

Some coaches and consultants offer free consultations after the prospect completes a lengthy questionnaire or assignment. They find they attract strong prospects by creating these filters.

Others offer a reverse free offer: Pay for a short consultation and get a refund if you sign up for a larger project. Frankly, I like this system because your prospect gets a realistic experience with no sales pitch and no hassle.

Ultimately, the decision to offer a freebie – and the type of freebie you offer – can shape your marketing strategy and ultimately your ability to attract clients.

Internet Website Marketing: Are You A “Dirty” Internet Marketer?

Online marketing did not develop as a new model all on its own. Despite the fact that the internet is very new in terms of media, most internet marketing techniques used today are based on decades of results from offline direct marketing in print, radio and television. Thanks to this, many of the same dirty tricks used to get people to buy in the offline world have been successfully adapted for use by internet marketers. Do you use any of these? If so, you just might be a “dirty” marketer too.

Dirty Words: The best marketers know that certain words literally have the power to work like magic spells that can quickly change the mindset of a person from casual reader to hungry buyer. Decades of scientifically testing these words in direct sales copy has proven how well these words, when used properly, can work.

As you’re reading online copy, pay attention for words and phrases that arouse your interest or curiosity. If you suddenly realize that you’ve read an entire sales letter online, chances are you’ve been sucked in by the spell these words can weave. Go back over the copy and try to uncover them. Look for words like “secret”, “easy”, “fast” and “free” and pay attention to the context they are used in. You may find some ideas you can quickly adapt to suit your own purposes.

Dirty Bribes: As in the offline world, bribes work very well to “grease the wheels of commerce” online too. With internet marketing, bribes often come in the form of free bonuses, limited time discount offers for those who act fast to purchase, or the opportunity to get a discount or make some extra money by spreading the word about the product or service being advertised.

Although these types of bribes are usually considered fairly ethical, using them together in an online sales and marketing promotion can lead to results that will certainly make you feel like a criminal mastermind.

Dirty Peer Pressure: Including numerous testimonials from previous customers and clients, especially positive ones, can further tip the scales in your favor. Scattering convincing testimonials throughout your online sales copy not only creates an atmosphere of sincere third-party validation of the product, but also generates a feeling of “everybody else is doing it, why shouldn’t I?”

Don’t cross the line that some marketers have been accused of stepping over though; make sure that you are using genuine testimonials from people who have actually tried, tested or reviewed your offering. Others have been caught in the dirty act of making these testimonials up. Your business can sour fast if you are exposed for this type of fraud.

The techniques above are just a small sample of “dirty” but very effective techniques which are used by internet marketers to generate more sales online. If you take a cue from the past and study up on how the direct marketing pros succeeded long before the internet came about, you’ll soon discover many more ways you can inspire potential customers to buy and increase your bottom line.

Many of these dirty marketing tricks are excellent website marketing solutions. You can discover many more of these secret techniques for free by visiting http://www.InternetMillionaireCode.com right now.

Website Marketing: 4 Secrets to Making More Sales From Content Pages

Copyright (c) 2008 OnlineBizU.com

Once you begin adding content, like your articles, to your website, an amazing thing starts to happen. Your traffic begins to increase, as visitors are finding your site based on keyword searches that they do that result in them landing on your content pages. As I’ve added more content pages to my site, I’ve discovered that about 60% of my traffic comes to my site via these kinds of searches.

When visitors arrive at your site, ideally they will look around for additional info. After all, most searches are conducted in pursuit of fr*ee “how to” information. So, how can you optimize your opportunity to get your visitor to take an action? Traditionally I’ve recommended using hover ads and opt-in boxes, but there’s another little-used strategy that I’m beginning to implement: inserting a call to action at the bottom of your content page. A key point to remember in this strategy is that your call to action on a content page should relate to the page content in some way.

Here are 4 secret strategies that you can regularly use on your content pages to make more sales:

1. Ask visitor to get on your list. The first trick to getting someone to buy from you is to get them to opt into your list. By including a graphic image and brief description of your client attraction device (free giveaway) along with the sign up box form for them to complete to get on your list, they can immediately choose to join your list, if they so desire. The magic words to use to relate joining your list to the content on the page are, “For more helpful tips or articles like these, I invite you to…(your call to action here).”

2. Invite visitor to subscribe to your blog. Perhaps you have blog posts that are related to this particular topic on your content page. Invite your visitor to subscribe to your blog’s feed or subscribe for blog updates via email and point your visitor in the direction of the related posts she should visit.

5. Product promotion. If you have begun to create information products, many pieces of your content probably relate to (or were taken from) those products. This is an ideal time to place an image of your product at the bottom of your content page with a short description of the product. Offer the visitor two options: one to buy the product now, or the option to get more information about the product on the long sales page for that item. Remember that your product should relate in an obvious way to your content (i.e. don’t place a product about how to groom your dog on a content page about organizing your office).

4. Google Adsense: In some cases you may not have a call to action that makes sense to give to your visitor. Instead (or in addition to another call to action), you may want to use that content space for your Google Adsense ads. Google Adsense is a program in which you can display Google Adwords ads on your pages and get paid a small fee for every click-through from those ads that occur on your site. I don’t usually recommend that you place these on your content pages, but if you have a niche blog, for example, with articles written by others on a particular topic, Google Adsense ads can become one of your business revenue streams.

Make your content pages work (and sell) for you. By implementing one of these 4 strategies, your start to see your list (and your bottom line) grow in no time!

Why Website Marketing Needs More Than a Search Engine Submission

Search engine submission is a physical or manual task. Some of it is automated but it’s still a physical exercise. While submitting to search engines will ensure that search engines learn of your existence, it does not mean that you’ll get listed in their search results. In fact, not many people know that search engine submission involves having a web site first.

Get a web site first…then optimize!

Some people who have not established their web site go ahead and submit to search engines; if the search engines find out you don’t have a web site yet, they will ignore your submission. Worse, it can hurt your ranking.

Web site marketing, therefore, needs more than search engine submission. It presupposes the existence of a web site. That’s one. Two, that web site has to be optimized before any search engine submission can be carried out.

Web site marketing is a series of intricate steps that have to follow a logical order. A good web site marketing company will first provide your web site with visibility and a high ranking. The next step is to develop links (reicprocal and back end links) followed by a branding campaign for your product or service. Some savvy web site marketing companies know immediately, just by looking at a web site for the first thirty seconds, what is wrong with it. So you need the experts to tell you what ought to be fixed before you embark on a search engine submission exercise. Optimization precedes all other marketing efforts. Google, Yahoo and MSN have developed a complex system of search algorithms that will determine page ranking and web site ranking. These algorithms do not rely on how many submissions you’ve made; rather they rely on your selection of meta tags, your keywords and content. Using generic language won’t cut it either. By generic language, we mean language that is not normally used by customers when they search for your company. These mistakes can be costly and will pull you down in the hierarchy of search results. By asking the experts to help you with your web site marketing concerns, you stand a better chance of obtaining high quality traffic to your web site. If it’s done right, you could be enjoying high quality traffic with no extra fees and for an indefinite period of time. If sales is your # 1 goal, good search engine optimization techniques will generate those sales.

Web Site Marketing Goes Beyond Search Engine Submission

Before submitting to search engines, you will need to consider doing on-site page optimization and in-depth link building. These are crucial steps to web site marketing results. Don’t overlook the importance of a press release announcing your web site. Article-writing is a necessary ingredient and if your articles are written well with the right keyword density, the search engines will start noticing you. This is why web site marketing service companies partner with good copywriters who understand the principles of search engine optimization.

Don’t forget to update your meta tags and page titles, as well as position content strategically. Once you’ve created optimized pages, develop them further with good content. A good marketing company will show you how to choose your keywords, how to place them and how to define text attributes.

Email Marketing Lead Capturing your Way to Website Marketing Success

It is not enough to maximize web site traffic. You must have a system in place to acquire the name and contact information of people that may be interested in your product or service. Lead generation is one of the most important aspects of internet marketing online and a must when it comes to growing a successful business.

In the old days of online email marketing, you had more latitude to do this. There was nothing wrong in sending out emails to people who had not requested one as long as you did not go overboard with it. Unfortunately many people did just that and by doing so added an old word with a new meaning to our vocabulary: spam. The good news is some people had a better idea and went to work creating email marketing lead capture pages also known as name squeeze.

Name squeeze is the act of setting up one or more web pages whose sole purpose is to entice visitors to leave their contact information thereby joining your opt in email list. The email marketing lead capture form can include phone number and address but all you need really is the visitor’s name and email address. These pages often times are used as doorways that lead you to the main website.

Email Marketing Lead capture pages are pretty straightforward. If done properly, you cannot be accused of spamming or tricking someone to leave their information since you have stated clearly that for the person to get a free gift, more information or access to your web pages they must agree to join your opt in email list.

In other words you are building a database of customers who are ALREADY interested in what you have to tell them. I don’t say they will automatically buy your product or service but as long as they remain on your opt in email list, you have the opportunity to present countless offers to them. Just make sure you can them quality information on a consistent basis and not just a daily sales pitch.

There are 3 ways to use lead capture pages that can explode you online business:

1. Building List Marketing

If you have never heard the phrase “the money is in the list”, welcome aboard and get use to it. It has become a pretty standard clich
